Happy Sunday! Tomorrow is a day to remember all our service members who gave their lives in service to our country. Not sure who did this pinup.
What is happening in Ye Olde Blogosphere? The Fine 15
As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page. While we are on pinups, since it is that time of year, have you gotten your “Pinups for Vets†calendar yet? And don’t forget to check out what I declare to be our War on Women Rule 5 and linky luv posts and things that interest me
Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

You don’t say
(Accuweather) With the start of the Atlantic hurricane season merely days away, on Thursday, May 22, 2014, NOAA released its 2014 Atlantic Hurricane Season Forecast, predicting a likely below-normal hurricane season. On par with AccuWeather.com’s forecast, released on May 14, the agency expects this season to offset the high hurricane activity seen in the last 20 years. Out of the last 20 years, 12 years have experienced above-normal hurricane seasons, according to NOAA. NOAA predicts a total of eight to 13 named storms, with three to six developing into hurricanes and one to two intensifying into major hurricanes of Category 3 or higher. The seasonal averages are 12 named storms, six hurricanes and three major hurricanes.
If by “high activity” they mean no major hurricanes making landfall on the US since October 2005, and just one barely a hurricane since October 2008, well, OK, then.
It’s hard to know if this is a reality check amongst previous predictions of doom, or simply a CYA that will allow Warmists to say “hey, look, we had more than predicted!!!!” if there are more.

If only was something available for State Department weenies to do research on people they endorse
(Washington Free Beacon) The State Department’s Counter Terrorism (CT) Bureau promoted on Friday a controversial Muslim scholar whose organization has reportedly backed Hamas and endorsed a fatwa authorizing the murder of U.S. soldiers in Iraq.
The CT bureau on Friday tweeted out a link to the official website of Sheikh Abdallah Bin Bayyah, the vice president of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), a controversial organization founded by a Muslim Brotherhood leader “who has called for the death of Jews and Americans and himself is banned from visiting the U.S.,â€Â according to Fox News.
Bin Bayyah is reported to have been one of several clerics who endorsed a 2004 fatwa that endorsed resistance against Americans fighting in Iraq, PJ Media reported in 2013, when Bin Bayyah met with Obama’s National Security Council staff at the White House. (snip)
Bin Bayyah has “urged the U.N. to criminalize blasphemy,†according to reports, and spoke “out in favor of Hamas,†the terror group that rules over the West Bank. (snip)
The 2004 fatwa on Iraq stated that “resisting occupation troops†is a “duty†for all Muslims, according to reports.
Good thing the adults in charge, eh?

You can easily picture a State Dept weenie seeing the news and saying “awesome, this is our guy! Perhaps Bin Bayyah has changed. Doubtful.

Well, I’m just shocked. Obama won California 60% to Romney’s 37%. Over 7.85 million voted for the ‘Bamster. What the heck are they complaining about?
(LA Times) Nearly 1,500 Californians have complained to state regulators in the last four months about their Obamacare coverage purchased through California’s insurance exchange.
New data reveal the biggest category of complaints centers on getting confirmation of health plan enrollment and basic issues such as getting an identification card to obtain care.
Many consumers have also encountered difficulty finding a doctor who accepts their new coverage, as well as frustration with inaccurate provider lists, according to the California Department of Managed Health Care.
And here’s the funniest part
Health insurers and officials at the Covered California exchange say they are working hard too to address consumers’ gripes. They say some problems are inevitable from such a massive overhaul and that the number of complaints is a small fraction of the more than 1 million Californians who signed up under the Affordable Care Act.
Funny how government is always working to fix the problems they create, wouldn’t you say? Let’s go back to what is certainly one of the quotes of 2013, and perfectly encapsulates Ocare
“Of course, I want people to have health care, I just didn’t realize I would be the one who was going to pay for it personally,†Vinson said.
That was in response to the high premiums and deductible increases, but, really, it seems that everyone is “paying” for Ocare in one way or another.
Whenever anyone files a complaint, they should be asked who they voted for. If Obama, they should be told to sit down and shut up.
