Good News: ISIS Fighters Are Here In The U.S.

This must be some sort of conservative plot, right?

(UK Daily Mail) A senior Obama administration official told reporters on Monday that American citizens who have fought alongside the ISIS terror army have managed to come back into the country and are under active surveillance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The stunning revelation came ten days after a Democratic New York congressman spilled the beans with a public  but little-noticed claim that there were 40 such ‘foreign fighter’ jihadis back on U.S. soil.

In a gathering with selected journalists, the administration official acknowledged that it’s true.

The National Counterterrorism Center’s latest determination, the official said, ‘includes those who’ve gone, those who’ve tried to go, some who’ve come back and are under active – the FBI is looking at them.’

The lure of radical Islam is strong, as adherents of Islam are taught the way of hardcore Islam in their mosques, schools, and centers. Are these jihadis are danger? One must assume so. Of course, liberals, diving under the blankie of multiculturalism and diversity, will poo poo the danger. Let’s face it, they hate, true hate, their fellow citizens who are Republicans, but not Islamists.

Meanwhile, good for Obama in launching air strikes against ISIS

(Reuters) Airstrikes against up to 20 ISIS targets are under way in Syria, according to Pentagon officials. The operation marks the first time the U.S. has launched strikes in Syria, a new front in the battle against the terror group.

“I can confirm that U.S. military and partner nation forces are undertaking military action against ISIL [ISIS] terrorists in Syria using a mix of fighter, bomber and Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles,” Pentagon Press Secretary Rear Admiral John Kirby said.

I’ve often said that I am against at least 90% of what Obama does. His anti-terrorism actions are amongst the 10% or so that I support. Go get ’em, Mr. Obama!

Obama Looks To Stop Tax Inversions

This is something Progressives are Very Concerned over, despite happening rarely, so Obama is going to act

(Politico) The Obama administration announced on Monday that it will use its regulatory authority to crack down on tax inversions, the maneuver used by Burger King and other companies to cut their tax bills by moving their tax home outside the United States.

“We’ve recently seen a few large corporations announce plans to exploit this loophole, undercutting businesses that act responsibly and leaving the middle class to pay the bill, and I’m glad that [Treasury] Secretary [Jack] Lew is exploring additional actions to help reverse this trend,” President Barack Obama said in a statement.

It’s the latest bid by the White House to make policy on issues it says Congress cannot agree on, and comes amid a summer of companies mulling the moves offshore. It drew immediate criticism from Republicans.

Congress, specifically the House, which is what Obama’s referring to, has agreed on it, and their position is they want to fix the conditions of high taxation. But they know it won’t pass the Dem controlled Senate, nor would Obama sign it, since both want to continue sticking it to companies in a way other nations don’t.

Both Lew and Obama have said that they would prefer to see Congress take action to prevent inversions, but lawmakers have been deadlocked. Most Republicans have argued that a tax code overhaul is the only way to prevent companies from moving abroad, while Democrats would prefer to do something to address inversions, nothing that tax reform is a ways off.

See?

BTW, Obama doesn’t want congress to act, because he would then lose his ability to whine and blamestorm. The demagoguery.

The actions announced Monday fall into two broad categories — those that make existing inversions less lucrative and those that make future moves more difficult to engineer.

So, punitive measures, ones that harm US companies and make it harder for them to compete globally. Figures. Oh, and they will retroactively affect any deal that is in the works but hasn’t finalized. Almost seems like an ex post facto law, eh?

The solution is to significantly lower or do away with the tax on income derived from outside the country, the same as most other nations. Dems, wont, though.

Robert Kennedy Jr. Exposes The Reality Behind Climate Change

(UK Daily Mail) Fields asked: ‘So will you lead by example?’

Kennedy Jr interrupted: ‘No no…I do lead by example.’

‘Are you going to give up your cell phone?’ she said.

‘No,’ he responded.

‘Are you going to give up your car?’

Visibly aggravated, Kennedy Jr pointed his finger in the reporter’s face and barked: ‘Are you going to give up your car?’

Pointing in her face, he says: ‘One of the biggest cunards that the press if falling for is blaming individuals for their own choices. That’s not the issue, the issue is what’s happening on Capitol Hill and that’s the thing you guys aren’t paying attention to.

‘You’re letting these people you’re letting the koch brothers run our country, subvert our democracy, corrupt our politicians, capture the -‘

It was totally wacko, he tried grabbing the mike, he was visibly agitated, and you have to see the video available at the link. And, it completely highlights what I’ve been saying for damned near a decade: this is all about left leaning politics,  getting lefty legislation passed, getting left leaning politicians elected, and really has little to nothing to do with actually “saving the planet”.

Climate Wackos Look To “Flood Wall Street” Today

But, hey, remember, this is all about the climate, not pushing far left dogmatic policies, ya know!

(CNN Money) Hundreds of environmental activists plan to “flood” Wall Street on Monday to protest the role Big Business plays in climate change.

The #FloodWallStreet campaign is part of a series of demonstrations taking place this week as world leaders gather in New York for a climate change summit on Tuesday at the United Nations.

The goal is to highlight “a financial system that’s perpetuating the climate crisis,” said Bessie Schwarz, a spokeswoman for the group behind the #FloodWallStreet campaign.

This supposedly started at 9am, according to the website for Flood Wall Street, with their sit in scheduled for noon. So, what are these people about? Refer to the above graphic. Ending capitalism. This is linked to the ultra far-left group Climate Justice Alliance, which pushes the same ultra left notions, ending capitalism, reparations, etc, that one would expect, and linked to all sorts of Progressive and Socialist groups, and funded by all sorts of hyper-left wing groups, such as 350.org.

Islamic State Tells Supporters To Attack America, France, Others

Nope, ISIS isn’t a threat at all

(Reuters) Islamic State urged its followers on Monday to attack citizens of the United States, France and other countries which have joined a coalition to destroy the militant group.

Islamic State spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani also taunted U.S. President Barack Obama and other Western “crusaders” in a statement carried by the SITE monitoring website, saying their forces faced inevitable defeat at the militants’ hands. (snip)

Adnani said the military intervention by the U.S.-led coalition would be the “final campaign of the crusaders”, according to the transcript published by SITE.

“It will be broken and defeated, just as all your previous campaigns were broken and defeated,” he said in the statement, which urged followers to attack U.S., French, Canadian, Australian and other nationals.

The question is, how serious is the threat? ISIS members have been shown to be fanatical and insane. Remember, this is a group that beheads people, puts the heads on spikes, rapes, tortures (real torture), and murders. Ethnic cleansing. Kidnapping. Sexual slavery for children. Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch are both very concerned. Can ISIS bring their violence to countries like the US, Canada, France, etc? Australia recently stopped a big plot by ISIS disciples. The bigger question is “will they?”

“If you fight it (Islamic State), it becomes stronger and tougher. If you leave it alone, it grows and expands. If Obama has promised you with defeating the Islamic State, then Bush has also lied before him,” Adnani said, according to the transcript.

That’s a point that must be acknowledged. If you think ignoring the Islamic State is fine for now, you give them time. As for the former, they might think they’re getting stronger, but they’ll be dying as they say it.

NYC Climate March A Rousing Success Of Leftism, Hypocricy, And Trash

Sunday was a big day for Warmists

(Politico) Al Gore, Leonardo DiCaprio and U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon joined a larger-than-expected throng of activists, scientists, students and elected officials who took to New York City’s streets Sunday for a massive march meant to sound the alarm about climate change.

Organizers initially estimated that the march had drawn 310,000 people, then raised that estimate to nearly 400,000 — far exceeding their projections of 100,000 attendees and making the procession through midtown Manhattan by far the largest climate-related protest in history. New York police did not offer their own crowd count.

Good for them. A tiny fraction of the world’s population took lots of fossil fueled trips to complain about the use of fossil fuels. Hooray!

“It shows we have power,” said Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune. “It’s a diverse coalition. It’s broad and it’s growing in strength and it’s growing in diversity. And it’s increasingly impatient at the rate of progress.”

I’m not sure what he means: they’ve won. There’s been no statistically significant warming in almost 18 years. Isn’t that what Warmists want? No?

Of course, there was also a contingent of typical liberal wackos, ones from Code Pink, 9/11 Truthers, Israel haters, PETA, and others. And, of course, all the radicals, Communists, Socialists, etc

(The Blaze) Tens-of-thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of New York City Sunday to demand political leaders take action on climate change.

While the protest remained peaceful, much of the “People’s Climate March” appeared to be made up of fringe elements of the political left.

Dozens of signs denouncing capitalism were spotted at the demonstration, often held by self-proclaimed socialists.

“Capitalism is destroying the planet,” a sticker on one woman’s shirt read, “We need revolution, nothing less.”

The Blaze’s Oliver Darcy seems somewhat surprised by their attendance, however, these far left groups were official partners of the march. Via The Global Warming Policy Foundation

It was the usual post-communist leftie march. That is, it was a petit-bourgeois re-enactment of meaningless ritual that passes for serious politics among those too inexperienced, too emotionally excited or too poorly read and too unpracticed at self-reflection or political analysis to know or perhaps care how futile and tired the conventional march has become. Crazed grouplets of anti-capitalist movements trying to fan the embers of Marxism back to life, gender and transgender groups with their own spin on climate, earnest eco-warriors, publicity-seeking hucksters, adrenalin junkies, college kids wanting a taste of the venerable tradition of public protest, and, as always, a great many people who don’t think that burning marijuana adds to the world’s CO2 load, marched down Manhattan’s streets. –Walter Russell Mead, The American Interest, 21 September 2014.

By the end of the week, most of the Warmists will be back to their typical big carbon footprint lives and this whole thing will have been forgotten. Nothing will change. Especially when it comes to world temperatures increasing in a statistically significant manner.

Climate Change Is Totally Like An Imminent Threat Or Something

The imminent threat to the U.S. that gets ignored

There is an imminent threat facing the people, economy and territory of the United States of America.

A report by the Center for Naval Analyses Military Advisory Board calls it a threat to national security and a broader “catalyst for conflict,” domestically and worldwide.

The admiral in charge of U.S. forces in the Pacific says it poses the biggest long-term security threat to the region. A comprehensive study, with 16 terabytes of data, documents how this threat will affect every single county in the United States — costing coastal cities billions and decimating crops all across the Midwest.

The rise in mega-storms like Superstorm Sandy is already hurting coastal towns and our economy, while the rise in temperatures is causing droughts in the Great Plains and Southwest. Scientists have shown these effects will only increase.

Strange that there have been none since. The US hasn’t been hit by a major hurricane since October 2005, and we will hit the all time recorded record in late November for days without. And the US has only been hit with one barely-a-hurricane since 2008, with none on the horizon. There is no acceleration of drought or flooding. Tornado activity is down.

Meanwhile, though American intelligence agencies continue to emphasize that they have not detected any imminent threat nor specific planning by ISIS to attack US soil, we are nonetheless marshaling our full political will and military muscle to “denigrate and destroy” this enemy.

Why aren’t we attacking climate change?
