Illegal Aliens Given Executive “Amnesty” By Obama Will Be Eligible For Public Benefits

At a time when more and more American citizens are suffering under the Obama economy, Mr. Obama wants to give millions and millions of people who came to this country illegally/overstayed their visas what will amount to amnesty, since once these illegals are given parole/deferred action it will be tough to kick them out. What does it all mean? Here’s one of the outcomes

(Breitbart) Illegal aliens who get President Barack Obama’s likely forthcoming executive amnesty will have immediate access to welfare and other public benefits, according to a new report from the Federation of American Immigration Reform (FAIR) exclusively provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release shows.

“Obama’s executive amnesty isn’t only unconstitutional but costly; from day one it opens up federal  and state benefits to individuals who are still illegal aliens, regardless of the label the President puts on them,” FAIR executive director Julie Kirchner told Breitbart News.

“Deferred action and parole-in-place don’t fit neatly into statutory definitions that prohibit access to benefits, mostly because deferred action and parole-in-place have no statutory basis themselves,” FAIR communications director Bob Dane added. “Congress has never imagined a rouge president pulling rabbits out of a hat to justify a broad, transformational makeover of the country by way of amnesty. There will always be thousands of loopholes in the law and backdoor methods to achieve a desired agenda, but ultimately the intent of Congress is preeminent. It may be that the courts will have to review that.”

The report (link in the first excerpted paragraph) details that there are two main methods Obama can use, parole and deferred action.

Obama could give the millions of illegal aliens “humanitarian parole,” something the FAIR report notes is included in statute as a power of the executive branch under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) for “temporary” protections for people from outside the United States. But the Bill Clinton administration in 1998, via a Department of Justice (DOJ) memo, expanded the meaning of “humanitarian parole” to illegal aliens inside the U.S. That memo did not have any “statutory or regulatory basis,” FAIR wrote, but Obama has used it to grant “parole in place to illegal aliens and is expected to expand this practice.”

If that’s how Obama grants executive amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens he plans to, they’ll get near-immediate access to welfare and other public benefits.

“Aliens with parole generally receive work authorization and are eligible for most benefits under federal law,” FAIR wrote. “This is true regardless of whether they have humanitarian parole or parole in place because the eligibility rules for benefits programs make no distinction between the two. Indeed, the longer an alien’s parole, the more benefits he is eligible to receive.”

They will immediately be eligible for unemployment and Obamacare subsidies. Social Security and Medicare, SCHIP and Medicaid, and a whole raft of federal social net programs. This will happen too with those given deferred action. It will end up costing American taxpayers billions of dollars, to go along with all the other costs of executive amnesty.

Elsewhere, Katie Pavlich writes about the people who are being ignored, well, at least one segment, since Obama is likely to ignore the will of the people overall

There are some important voices that have been starkly absent as President Obama gets ready to issue an executive order that would usurp federal immigration law in the coming days.

“We’re all pretty much ticked,” a Border Patrol source told me shortly after details of the president’s plans hit the press last week.

He’s ignoring the voices of law enforcement, particularly those who deal directly with illegals.

“We are going to see what I’m seeing here on the border in larger and large numbers, which is a huge increase in illegal immigration coming across our border. An amnesty order is going to create [for] more people an incentive to come into the U.S.,” Hidalgo County Texas Sheriff Eddie Guerra said just two weeks ago. “The drug cartel will exploit any opportunity to come into the United States, and this will create the cover for them to continue exploiting our porous border. This will create the opportunity for kidnapping, trafficking, sexual abuse, prostitution, and smuggling. These smugglers have no regard for human life. They destroy private property. They have no respect for law enforcement. They circumvent US checkpoints. It’s a terrible situation.”

“If the president issues his executive amnesty, you’ll see a dramatic surge of people coming in from all countries, including Central America — and again we won’t know who’s coming in: gangs, drugs, cartels, public health threats, human trafficking. We’re not catching but a small percentage of those coming across. This will place public safety in our communities in danger, and taxpaying citizens will be left picking up the tab,” Rockingham County, N.C., Sheriff Sam Page also warned.

Giving parole/deferred action, an executive amnesty, will entice more illegals to come from all over the world illegally and for those here legally to overstay their visas. And not all these folks are “good people just looking for a better life”, as the saying goes.

Team Obama Is Really Concerned About Climate Change Snow Shoveling

I love the picture that accompanies this Yahoo News/Reuters article

You’re welcome to read the article if you want. It’s pretty much about Team O integrating Hotcoldwetdry into everything the government does.

If you want more stupid, here you go (be careful clicking the link, either the article or the popup caused my Norton to stop a webroot attack)

We look at a new investigation by the Pulitzer Prize-winning website, InsideClimate News, titled “Meltdown: Terror at the Top of the World.” It tells the story of seven American hikers who went on a wilderness adventure into polar bear country in Canada’s Arctic tundra — and faced a harrowing attack. But despite taking proper steps to protect themselves, a polar bear came to their camp in the middle of the night and pulled one of the hikers out of his tent. Scientists say that climate change is greatly impacting polar bear habitat, which may be the cause of increased polar bear attacks on humans.

Hmm, I’d say it wasn’t climate change, but that 7 idiots went into….polar bear country.

Say, About That Hottest Year Ever Meme…

(Note: here’s for you, John, since you asked in a comment)

Is 2014 the “hottest year ever!!!!!!”? Paul Homewood takes a look at the real data in comparison to what NASA and NOAA are pushing. Here’s from the Warmists and how they are positioning it

Here’s the satellite data

UAH also shows similar data to RSS.

Besides, even if 2014 was the hottest on record, it still wouldn’t prove anthropogenic causation.

Washington Post: You Authentic Conservatives Should Approve Of Market Based Carbon Pricing

The Washington Post Editorial Board is Very Upset about the GOP retaking the Senate and wonders if this is game over for the climate

GOP victory: Game over for the climate?

JUST BEFORE Republicans scored a big midterm-election victory two weeks ago, the authoritative Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released a report that underscored the severity of the risk global warming poses and the level of certainty scientists have about their warnings. Then, shortly following the GOP’s win, President Obama concluded a historic agreement with China on climate change, undercutting Republican arguments that cutting emissions here would be useless because China wouldn’t sacrifice along with the United States.

Of course, China won’t actually be cutting emissions. As for being game over, the climate always changes. Hence the Pause.

Despite all of this, since the election Republican leaders have continued to indulge in hysterical “war on coal” rhetoric, and they attacked the climate breakthrough in Beijing. They still appear determined to repeal the country’s climate policies rather than replacing those policies with cheaper and more effective options, such as the market-based carbon-pricing programs that authentic conservatives would favor.

Say what? Authentic conservatives are supposed to be in favor of a government driven program that sets the price of “carbon”? There are no conservatives that would approve of that. But, hey, what are the market based prices? The Washington Post noted last year that the European market is collapsing. It’s trading at junk bond status. The entire world carbon market has essentially collapsed. The government’s instituted the markets, and the market determined that they are garbage. Without the government propping them up, such as in California, they are almost valueless.

I’m not sure the WPEB is aware of what Conservatives believe. Heck, the true Classical Conservative, which is different from an American Conservative (we are closer to Classical Liberals), wants exactly zero government input, regulations, restrictions, control, etc,  over economic action. Government is supposed to stay out of the way. American Conservatives want The Government involved as little as possible.

NY Times: Passing Keystone XL To Protect Mary Landrieu Is A Big Mistake

The NY Times Editorial Board is also concerned about the temporary nature of the jobs created to build the pipeline

Playing Politics With Tar Sands Oil

Just when President Obama marches forward on the issue of climate change, Congress scuttles backward.

Last week in Beijing, America and China agreed to significant joint reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. Over the weekend, at the G-20 meeting in Brisbane, Australia, Mr. Obama pledged a $3 billion contribution to the Green Climate Fund, a multilateral effort to help vulnerable countries develop clean energy sources and adapt to the impacts of global warming.

And Congress? On Friday, the House voted to order the administration to approve the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline that would run from the tar sands of Alberta to refineries on the gulf coast — a huge undertaking that can only add to the climate problem. The Senate may well do the same this week.

In fact, the pipeline will be better for the environment and “climate change”, because the other option is to ship it on trains and/or tankers, which would release more greenhouse gases and risks crashes.

It is important to understand what these votes are. They are not votes for permanent construction jobs, since most of the construction jobs would evaporate the minute the pipeline was finished. They are not votes for energy independence, since the United States is in the midst of a robust oil boom of its own.

Does anyone remember the NY Times complaining about the temporary nature of the jobs from Obama’s almost a trillion dollar Stimulus? Where are all those jobs now?

They are almost entirely acts of political theater, designed in the House to favor the extractive industries, and in the Senate to prop up the troubled runoff election campaign of Mary Landrieu, a Democrat and co-sponsor of the Senate bill who is desperate to claim credit for getting the pipeline approved. The maneuvering in the Senate is occurring with the tacit endorsement of Harry Reid, the Democratic leader, who has said he personally opposes the pipeline but seems willing to allow this vote to go forward.

It is of particular interest that the NYTEB is taking the side of Obama over Senate Democrats in this fight, particularly since Obama cannot be re-elected. And over the American People, who have supported building the Keystone XL pipeline in every single poll taken. There are more than enough other pipelines being constructed right now that have not gotten noticed like Keystone XL, but they haven’t been turned into the political issues by far left Progressive demagogues. Study after study after study have approved of the pipeline.

The White House has hinted, though not flatly promised, that Mr. Obama will veto any bill that passes. He should. This decision is his to make, not Congress’s, and the State Department review process that will inform that decision is not yet complete.

The State Department was the one doing most of the studies that approved of the pipeline. It is interesting that “the decision is his to make” when it comes to approving Keystone XL, when he is making all sorts of decisions that aren’t his, but Congresses, such as on illegal immigration. It is well within Congresses power to legislatively approve the building of a pipeline that crosses from Canada and through multiple states.

Obama Admits Illegal Immigration Hurts Blue-Collar Americans

As Mr. Obama makes noise about using his kingly, er, executive power to grant a temporary “amnesty” to millions of illegal aliens, their parents, etc (temporary because the order can be immediately cancelled after he leaves office, and would supposedly be only for a 4 year period of time anyhow), what did Mr. Obama write about illegals a short 8 years ago?

(Daily Caller) President Obama once declared that an influx of illegal immigrants will harm “the wages of blue-collar Americans” and “put strains on an already overburdened safety net.”

“The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century,” Obama noted. “If this huge influx of mostly low-skill workers provides some benefits to the economy as a whole—especially by keeping our workforce young, in contrast to an increasingly geriatric Europe and Japan—it also threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans and put strains on an already overburdened safety net.”

That is from Obama’s 2006 book “The Audacity Of Hope”, and those are among the exact concerns stressed by opponents of any sort of legalization and/or pathway to citizenship.

Obama’s apparently a raaaaacist, too

“Native-born Americans suspect that it is they, and not the immigrant, who are being forced to adapt” to social changes caused by migration, he said.

“And if I’m honest with myself, I must admit that I’m not entirely immune to such nativist sentiments,” Obama wrote. “When I see Mexican flags waved at pro-immigration demonstrations, I sometimes feel a flush of patriotic resentment. When I’m forced to use a translator to communicate with the guy fixing my car, I feel a certain frustration.”

Huh. Bigot! Oh, wait, he’s a Democrat, so he’s excused from that, ya know.

Careful observers of Obama’s modern-day immigration rhetoric will note that he does not discuss the impact millions of formerly-illegal immigrants would have on the wages of American workers. Rather, Obama has repeatedly declared, “It’s the right thing to do.”

Of course, he never actually explains why it is the right thing to do.

O’s plan would also drastically increase the guest worker program. He was not particularly happy about it when “shamnesty” was being pushed in 2006 by Bush and the Republicans, writing

“The guest worker provision of the bill troubled me,” Obama wrote, “it was essentially a sop to big business, a means for them to employ immigrants without granting them citizenship rights—indeed, a means for business to gain the benefits of outsourcing without having to locate their operations overseas.”

This is exactly what he’s doing now. Why is he doing it? He can’t be re-elected. This may way decrease his poll numbers. Americans do not want this. It will harm American prosperity for the middle and lower classes. He wants a fight with Republicans. He lives for strife and conflict, rather than discussion and governance. I think he actually prefers a Republican Congress. This is his community organizer background in play. Compromise is not a word he practices.

Joe Biden Notes That Obama Administration Has Been Really Bad For Income Inequality

Not in so many words, but if we read between the lines, we can see that Biden was just speaking the truth

(CNN) Vice President Joe Biden emphasized the issue of income inequality to a gathering of major donors and activists Friday night, telling them Democrats will work to address it to help working people, an attendee at the event told CNN.

The remarks came during a reception for a coalition of liberal organizations called Democracy Alliance.

Biden told the gathering that income in the United States is the most unequal it has been since the 1920s, according to an attendee, who spoke to CNN on the condition he not be identified since it was a private event. Income inequality appeared to be a priority for this audience, and has been a key focus for such leaders as Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Massachusetts, who received a warm welcome when she spoke to the group Thursday.

Vice President Joe Biden ….we actually have to identify him by the title, because lots of people have no idea who he is…. is speaking like he hasn’t been a part of the presidential administration in charge for the last 6 years. A Democratic one. Democrats were in charge of the Senate from January 2007 till January 2015. Democrats controlled the House from January 2007-January 2011.

The Democracy Alliance is a shadowy network of hard left Progressives, organized by George Soros’ billions, donating without disclosure to other far left institutions. Politico noted about this same confab, in regards to Elizabeth “Fauxahontas” Warren

The Democracy Alliance has had an outsized influence in Democratic politics. It works to leverage its donors’ massive bank accounts to steer the party to the left on causes dear to liberals — including fighting to reduce economic inequality and the role of money in politics. Warren has emerged as a standard-bearer for those fights, and her address on Thursday dealt with economic inequality.

So, you have super rich folks using their money not to actually increase the wages of their workers, but donating to Democracy Alliance to force Other People to Do Something about income inequality. For the most part, though, Democracy Alliance simply gathers the money and distributes it to other far far left Progressive organizations, at least from what can be gathered, because they are super secret. And it is truly amusing that Biden would be talking about income inequality in front of Democrat voting rich folks who tend to give their money to campaigns and such rather than their own workers.

Here’s what Progressive policies brought us

For all Democrat caterwauling about Bush, we can see that it is much worse under Obama. The top 1% are garnering 93 cents of every dollar made under Obama, while growth of wages for the 99% stagnates. Yet, Obama is pushing hard to amnesty at least 5 million illegal aliens, meaning more wage stagnation.
