Protest Featuring Confederate Flags Greets Obama In Oklahoma, Organized By “Uncle Tom”

Obama took a fossil fueled flight to Oklahoma City Wednesday to discuss economic development and prisons and stuff, and here is how he was greeted, via The Blaze

https://twitter.com/TheBlazeNOW/status/621515528142745600

The protest was organized by Andrew Duncomb, who calls himself “the Black Rebel,” KFOR-TV reported.

“We don’t believe it’s a symbol of racism,” he told the news station.

“They’re blaming the racist problems on the flag and not on the real problems of America. Through the race lies the people who carry and harbor the hate inside,” Duncomb added.

Several other black individuals participated in the demonstration.

In case you didn’t pick it up, Duncomb is Black. And here’s what we get in the comments at the Washington Post, which has a similar story

Mihalix Benko: So one Uncle Tom and the racist possy cheering on under the battle flag of traitors and slavers claims the flag is totally not racist. Yeah sure. Traitors.

Gotta love how this liberal uses a racist description before calling people racists. This is Liberal World, after all.

The protestors’ mothers and children must be oh so proud

Like when Liberals bring their kids to pro-abortion protests. Or “climate change” protests where the grounds are left an environmental mess.

Hopefully the President’s skin had thickened enough by now that this did not hurt too much, but it is hard to think of a more offensive way to greet your Commander-in-Chief..

Yeah, remember when the Obama crowd boo’d George Bush at Obama’s coronation? Remember all the assassination chic from the Left? Liberals should never discuss any sort of “that’s mean”. Of course, Obama does have very thin skin, and The Precious was very upset over a question asked

The president later took umbrage when CBS News reporter Major Garrett asked why he is “content” the freedom of American prisoners held in Iran was not secured, despite their cases apparently being raised.

“The notion that I am content, as I celebrate, with American citizens languishing in Iranian jails — Major, that’s nonsense, and you should know better,” Obama said, adding: “I’ve met with the families of some of those folks, and nobody’s content.”

The president said teams are working “diligently” to free them, but said tying their freedom to negotiations could create an incentive for Iran to use American prisoners as leverage for concessions.

Yet, they’re still in Iranian jails, and, perhaps he shouldn’t be giving massive concessions to a country that is the #1 state sponsor of terrorism, a country that has been positively linked to the deaths of 500 US military members, a country that wants to wipe Israel off the map, a country that constantly burns American flags and chants “death to America”, a country that calls America the “Great Satan”, a country that foments violence in the Middle East, and much more. If he had negotiated from a condition of strength, it would have been no problem. Instead, he and John Kerry negotiated like they were the representatives for Iran.

Team Obama Deems “Climate Change” A Moral Obligation

Perhaps these administrators, hired by Obama, should tell O that taking a fossil fueled flight across the country for fundraisers and a few rounds of golf is bad for Hotcoldwetdry

(Washington Free Beacon) Obama administration officials are labeling fighting climate change a “moral obligation” for world leaders.

U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) administrator Gina McCarthy and Obama-nominated U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican Kenneth F. Hackett published a joint blog post on the EPA website Monday praising Pope Francis for dedicating his second encyclical to urging swift action on global warming.

“He makes clear our moral obligation to prevent climate impacts that threaten God’s creation, especially for those most vulnerable,” they write, referring to the crusade against global warming as a “moral obligation” three separate times throughout the 600-word post.

If it’s a moral obligation, why are these Warmists not giving up their own fossil fueled travel and making their lives carbon neutral? oh, right, this is all about punishing Other People, while putting the big shots in charge of Other People’s lives.

Obama Says We Should Stop Telling Prison Rape Jokes

No, really

This comes via Twitchy, which notes people making fun of Obama for the joke part. This may be a minor thing, but, I’m actually going to defend Barack on this point. His statement may seem silly, but, really, he has a point. Rape of any type really isn’t funny. The folks in prison may be bad people, sometimes really, really, really bad people, but, they still should have protections and rights, particularly since they are being housed by the government.

Eliminating gangs in prison, though, good luck with that. A goodly chunk of people in prison are, in fact, gang members to start with. What most experts will tell you, though, is that the best way to reduce gangs in prison is segregation. First, segregating Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, and Asians. There are many of each race who are forced to join a gang in prison for protection. Sometimes from members of their own race, since you can get multiple gangs in each race.

That said, you can also segregate those who are not gang members from the gang members. In this situation, you can have members of multiple races living together. Even there, though, you can have a clash of cultures, which can lead to violence.

But, this kind of thing is poo poo’d by leftist sociologists, who, of course, never have to actually live in prison themselves. Yes, prison should be hard time. But, those sentenced still are entitled to safety themselves.

That all said, Obama did say something else interesting, also via Twitchy

https://twitter.com/WesleyLowery/status/621062255380156416

That’s very interesting, because Democratic Party policies have made the Black community the violent and criminal one it is today. Arrest rates in Democrat voting and run cities tends to be pretty high, with Dems keeping Blacks in government supported ghettos. Dems have done all they can to destroy the family and church within the Black community. If Obama wants to complain, he should look in the mirror at his own party.

Poll: Developed World Not That Concerned With “Climate Change”

After 25+ years of spreading awareness, of unhinged pronouncements of doom, massive spending by government and special interests (who are often funded by government) in support of Doing Something about “climate change”, this is the best that can be accomplished

(Pew) Concern about climate change is relatively low in Europe. While a median of 42% report being very concerned, global climate change is not one of the top two threats in any European country surveyed. Anxiety about this issue is highest in Spain (59%), but just 14% in Poland say the same. In a number of European nations, concern about climate change is more pronounced for those on the left of the political spectrum. Ideological differences are particularly large in the United Kingdom, where about half of those on the left (49%) express serious concerns, compared with 30% of those on the right. Those to the left of the political center are also considerably more concerned about global climate change in Italy, France and Spain.

Global climate change ranks substantially lower as a comparative global threat for Americans, with 42% saying they are very concerned about the issue. The only global issue that is even less worrying to Americans: territorial disputes between China and its neighbors (30%). Much like in Europe, perceptions in the U.S. about the threat of climate change depend on ideology. About six-in-ten Democrats (62%) are very concerned about climate change, while just 20% of Republicans say the same.

Here’s how it all breaks down

So, only in Latin America and Africa, where education is much less, and they want lots of that redistributed cash, does concern over Hotcoldwetdry break the 50% barrier. Concern over ISIS is higher, since it tends to be a real threat, unlike the tiny increase in global temperatures (1.4F since 1850).

So, after all this time, after the constant promotion of doom from the news media, special interests, government, this is the best they can do.

Next Target For SJWs: Georgia’s Stone Mountain

One would think the NAACP and other social justice warriors would be more concerned with the high rate of Black In Origin crime within the greater Atlanta area, but, hey, things like that are hard

(WSBTV) The Atlanta chapter of the NAACP officially called for the elimination of all symbols of the Confederacy from Stone Mountain.

This comes on the heels of the removal of the Confederate battle flag from the South Carolina State House.

NAACP’s Richard Rose says the time to move is now, but admits it may be a steep slope to climb.

The organization issued a statement calling for the removal of all symbols of the Confederacy from the park.

“My tax dollars should not be used to commemorate slavery,”Rose said.

Rose said his group wants Confederate symbols removed from all state-owned buildings, parks and lands.

Rose told Petersen he would start with Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. “Those guys need to go. They can be sand-blasted off, or somebody could carefully remove a slab of that and auction it off to the highest bidder,” Rose said.

If the carvings are removed, will this stop?

No, this push will never end. Of course, it is interesting that the NAACP is itself a group that would be considered racist if it was the National Association for the Advancement of Caucasian People, rather than Colored People.

Will the NAACP push for the elimination of the Democratic Donkey, a symbol of Northern Democrats support of the Confederacy? Will they push for the end of the Democratic Party, which was the party of slavery, segregation, and bigotry?

Oops: New Orleans Saints Symbol Now Considered Raaaaacist

When will the US Trademark office take away the Saints’ trademark registrations? (via Weasel Zippers)

(Daily Caller) The fleur de lis, a French symbol used by royal families dating back to the 13th century, and emblazoned on the New Orleans Saints helmet, is now being called a symbol of slavery, drawing comparisons to the recent uproar against the Confederate battle flag.

“As an African I find it painful, and I think people whose ancestors were enslaved here may feel it even harder than I do as an African,” said slave historian Dr. Ibrahima Seck to WWLTV.

He connects the usage of the fleur de lis, to “code noir,” or black code, which was adopted in Louisiana in 1724, and used to govern the state’s slave population.

Seck said a slave caught running away, “would be taken before a court and the sentence would be being branded on one shoulder and with the fleur de lis, and then they would crop their ears.”

It’s also the official symbol of Louisiana. Time to take them all down.

The More We Find Out About #IranDeal, The Worse It Gets

Neville Chamberlain called, Mr. Obama, he wants his foreign policy back

(Breitbart) Indeed, the deal is weaker than the provisional arrangement the White House announcedthis past April.

Under the agreement, which is 159 pages long, the Iranian regime agrees to limit its nuclear enrichment activities for eight years (instead of ten years, as agreed in Lausanne). It will limit its stockpile of enriched uranium to 300 kg, and will limit its research and development, and will be assisted by the international community in some nuclear research, including at the underground facility at Fordow, which it had operated illegally.

In return, the international community will drop major financial and economic sanctions against the Iranian regime. The agreement indicates that new sanctions cannot be applied by the EU or the U.S. before a special dispute resolution process is conducted.

Iran will only grant very limited access to international inspectors to visit nuclear sites. They will be allowed one visit to the military site at Parchin, and visits to other sites will be tightly controlled, with a 24-day advance warning, according to reports. If Iran refuses access, the issue will be arbitrated by a Joint Commission, on which Iran will also be represented. Sanctions can only be re-imposed for “significant non-performance.”

As many, including myself, are asking on Twitter, exactly what does the United States get out of this deal, other than Obama and Kerry being praised by the Left Wing Media? A bad deal is worse than no deal.

Iran’s president is directly contradicting Obama on sanctions

http://twitter.com/#!/SooperMexican/status/620923526623666176

John McCain may be super squishy on many, many things, but, he’s no fool on international relations and Iran

“While I will thoroughly review all of the details of this agreement, all signs point to this being a bad deal. The most concerning concessions – on sanctions, sunset, inspections and verification, research and development, and Iran’s enrichment capability, among others – were made long ago. To those concessions, it now appears that the Administration has made still more, especially the repeal of the international arms embargo on Iran. The result, I fear, is that this agreement will strengthen Iran’s ability to acquire conventional weapons and ballistic missiles, while retaining an industrial scale nuclear program, without any basic change to its malign activities in the Middle East.

“Ultimately, the problem with this agreement is that it is built far too much on hope – on the belief that somehow the Iranian government will fundamentally change in the next several years, such that it can be trusted with a growing arsenal, a huge influx of cash, and the infrastructure of a nuclear program. This is delusional and dangerous, especially as we see Iran on the offensive in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and elsewhere in the region. Instead, I fear this agreement could undermine the very goals we have maintained for 35 years – weakening the Islamic Republic, constraining its threatening influence, strengthening Israel and our Arab partners, lessening regional tensions, and preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapons capability.”

This was a deal made on U.S. weakness, thanks to Obama and Hillary Clinton, with some help from John Kerry. This gives Iran most of everything they want, kicks the can down the road on a nuclear armed Iran, and will ultimately make the Middle East less stable. Good job, O!

And, let’s face it, as more details come out, it will get worse. There is literally nothing of benefit to the United States.

Warmist: No New Carbon Infrastructure Can Be Built After 2018

This is about as nutty nuts as the Cult of Climastrology can get. Level 10 moonbattery (not Shub, he just highlighted it). And by “carbon infrastructure”, there is way, way more involved.

https://twitter.com/shubclimate/status/620645961803501568

In only three years there will be enough fossil fuel-burning stuff—cars, homes, factories, power plants, etc.—built to blow through our carbon budget for a 2 degrees Celsius temperature rise. Never mind staying below a safer, saner 1.5°C of global warming. The relentless laws of physics have given us a hard, non-negotiable deadline, making G7 statements about a fossil fuel-phase out by 2100 or a weak deal at the UN climate talks in Paris irrelevant.

“By 2018, no new cars, homes, schools, factories, or electrical power plants should be built anywhere in the world, ever again unless they’re either replacements for old ones or are carbon neutral? Are you sure I worked that out right?” I asked Steve Davis of the University of California, co-author of a new climate study.

“We didn’t go that far in our study. But yes, your numbers are broadly correct. That’s what this study means,” Davis told me over the phone last fall.

I couldn’t accept that we need to immediately slow production of new things like factories, hospitals, homes, and ten thousand other things that use fossil fuels. I couldn’t accept that everything had to change…right away. I sent out emails to leading scientists in different countries practically begging them to tell me I screwed up the math or something. “It’s a different way of looking at where we are but you’ve got it right,” they said.

The CoC really wants the world to look like Ethiopia than Portland.
