Former State Dept Officials Call Hillary’s Email Defense “Total BS”

Is it in the realm of possibility that the Secretary Of State, a Cabinet level official, never once sent or received classified information in email? Did she require people to hand deliver and/or fax that information? Did she only send and receive info on TV shows and what’s for dinner? No, probably not, and surely not. She most certainly received and sent information about the workings of government, which, while much might not be secret, is certainly sensitive.

(NY Post) Former State Department security officials don’t buy Hillary Clinton’s latest alibi that she couldn’t tell that government e-mails — which she improperly, if not illegally, kept for several years on an unsecured home server — contained top-secret information because they lacked official markings and weren’t classified until later.

Such messages contain sensitive “keywords” distinguishing them from unclassified information, even if the material didn’t bear a classified heading as she claims.

The secretary would have known better, the department officials say, because she was trained to understand the difference when she was “read in” on procedures to ID and handle classified information by diplomatic-security officials in 2009.

Clinton also went through a so-called “read-off” when she left office in 2013. In that debriefing, security officials reminded her of her duty to return all classified documents, including ones in which the classification status is “uncertain,” which would have included the e-mails stored on her private server — which she only this month turned over to authorities. The read-off would have included her signing a nondisclosure agreement.

“Once she resigned as secretary, she needed to return classified documents and other government-owned documents, which in this case would have included the server,” veteran Diplomatic Security Service Special Agent Raymond Fournier said.

Ah, but there’s the question: did she sign the form regarding turning all docs and materials? The State Department cannot find the form, called an OF-109, and is “fairly certain she did not.” Did she sign a non-disclosure form? Did she even participate in a “read-off”?

“I did not receive any material marked or designated classified, which is the way you know whether something is [classified],” she said last week, revising an earlier claim that “there is no classified material.”

“That’s total BS,” said retired Army Col. Larry Mrozinski, who served almost four years as a senior military adviser and security manager in the State Department under both Clinton and Condoleezza Rice.

He says Clinton easily would have ID’d the material as classified based on “keywords and phrases” and the fact that the information came from foreign sources.

“TS/SCI is very serious and specific information that jumps out at you and screams ‘classified,’ ” Mrozinski said. “The sources [of the information] also drive and signal sensitivity.”

Heck, did she even participate in a “read-in”? The super secret material should never be in electronic form, only printed, and never discussed through electronic methods. Yet, several of the emails recovered contained that material. Not that Hillary or her aides cared. Nor did Hillary care that she was using a home-brew server that put sensitive information and the workings of the State Department, and potentially other federal agencies, at risk.

Meanwhile, the Editorial Board of the USA Today takes Hillary to task, reminding her that this is no laughing matter. They note that, at the very least, she was reckless and showed poor judgement. Not qualities needed for POTUS.

Liberals Are Suddenly Against A President Trump Using Same Methods Obama Uses

Mr. Obama has been running roughshod over the Constitution and restrictions on the Chief Executive for the majority of his term. He’s show a lack of care for doing things the proper way, instead relying on executive actions and order, complaining that Congress won’t pass legislation that he never crafts and sends over, and just simply doing whatever he wants. But, what if Trump wins? Politico’s Bill Sher tells us what Trump’s first 100 days would look like

Would a Trump presidency be a madcap extension of his reality TV show? Except instead of the guilty pleasure we enjoy while watching the hapless get fired, we would be watching the tragicomic destruction of our international alliances, our economy and our national reputation without the option of changing the channel?

Huh. Liberals haven’t cared too much about those exact things (except the firing part, since almost no one gets fired for incompetence and bad behavior in the Obama admin. They usually get promoted) happening under Obama.

“Mexican, Chinese military officials report unauthorized breach of air space by U.S. F/A-18 fighter jets.” That’s what the Washington Free Beacon predicts will be the news out of the Trump inauguration. Another satirical press release envisages “loser,” “dummy” and “moron” replacing the usual diplomatic language out of the State Department. Former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett imagines it all ending with a “budget crisis, President Trump’s impeachment [and] Vice President Cruz’s inauguration.” Is this really the future that awaits us under president Trump?

Probably not.

As much as Trump likes to project an aura of someone who plays by his own rules and always gets his way, once in the Oval Office he would be just another politician, bound by the laws of political gravity. He may want to break some china, literally and figuratively. But in his first 100 days, the constitutional constraints of the office would become apparent, and the fears of instantaneous disaster would dissipate.

First up, as Politico notes, would be rescinding Obama’s Executive Orders on illegal aliens, stopping, as they put it, “deportation relief”. Also, labeling China a currency manipulator.

Those are actions solely within the purview of the executive branch. What Trump could not do at the point of a finger is undo Obama’s policies established by the formal regulatory process. Trump may think that global warming is a hoax, but he can’t wipe the EPA’s carbon rules off the books without undergoing a laborious regulatory process of his own. Even then he could be stymied by environmentalist lawsuits charging him with violating the Clean Air Act.

Suddenly, Trump is not allowed to use his own Executive Orders. Obama has enacted a raft of “climate change” initiatives via EO: Trump could rescind those. As POTUS, Trump could easily craft his own EO’s directing the EPA to stop enforcing any “climate change” laws, in the exact same manner Obama told them to expand their scope, and the same as with his “deportation relief”.

Liberals will suddenly believe in the “constitutional constraints of the office”, something they’ve utterly ignored during the Obama years, if Trump wins.

People horrified at the prospect of a President Trump can take some solace that our constitutional system of checks and balances constricts his ability to turn America into a gold-plated laughingstock. But those who believe Trump’s bravado is the only way to make Washington work should disabuse themselves of that fantasy. We’ve shocked the world before, only to be shocked to learn that it takes a politician to practice politics.

Interesting. Obama’s entire time in office has been about bravado and doing things his own way, of picking fights with Congress (and going back on deals he agreed to when anything actually gets done), of making demands then issuing EOs. Suddenly this would be Bad for Trump, or, let’s face it, any other Republican. Go figure.

Bummer: We Only Have 100 Days To Save The World

Extreme hyperbole? Check. Here’s hyper-alarmist John D. Sutter at CNN, which used to be interested in actual news, not fiction

100 days to save the world

The 1997 Kyoto Protocol, for instance, was signed but never ratified by the United States, and even global sweetheart Canada pulled out and failed to meet its pollution targets. More recently, in 2009,talks in Copenhagen, Denmark, amounted to “a sort of climate wish list,” Elizabeth Kolbert wrote in The New Yorker.

We can’t throw out that frustrating history, of course.

But we can and should do our best to shake it off, Taylor Swift-style.

World leaders are set to meet again 100 days from Saturday. This time in Paris. And, this time, against all odds, there’s ample evidence things finally will be different.

Taylor Swift?

This is supposed to be the World’s Most Serious Problem, and we get a Taylor Swift shake it off mention. What’s not mentioned are the 10,000 or so people who will descend on Paris using fossil fueled travel methods, especially private airplanes and limos.

Here are five reasons for optimism ahead of the talks.

  1. Countries already are pledging major pollution cuts (yeah, they did that with the Kyoto Protocol, then failed to follow through. And CO2 is not a pollutant, no matter how many times Warmists call it that)
  2. China and the United States are playing ball (China is building coal fired power plants willy nilly)
  3. The 2 degrees goal is still in reach (barely) (the plans offered at the Conference on the Parties meetings wouldn’t stop the world from exceeding that magical 2C number)
  4. Hundreds of thousands are demanding action (The other 7 billion aren’t)
  5. The stakes are too high to give up (this is your ultra-doom moment, which you’ll have to read yourself)

And we end thusly

“I’m concerned,” he said, “but not pessimistic.”

Neither am I. We owe it to the planet to remain optimistic.

If we “owe the planet”, shouldn’t every Warmist give up their own fossil fuels usage and go carbon neutral?

Iranian President Vows To Break Terms Of Deal Regarding Missiles And Weapons

If Iran is saying it will cheat, and cheated on sanctions and other deals before, why does no one seem to believe them? First off, here’s Iranian President Hassan Rouhani using American President Barack Obama’s talking points

(Tasnim) In a speech on Saturday on the occasion of Iran’s Defense Industry Day, President Rouhani emphasized that today, the Islamic Republic is in better condition compared to a couple of years ago.

“By our own political power, we reached an agreement, which all countries around the world confirm,” he said, adding, “Only the Zionist regime and warmongers in the US are against it.”

Then we find out about their new missiles

(YNet) Iran on Saturday unveiled a new surface-to-surface missile it said could strike targets with pin-point accuracy within a range of 500 km (310 miles) and it said military might was a precondition for peace and effective diplomacy.

According to that deal, any transfer to Iran of ballistic missile technology during the next eight years will be subject to the approval of the United Nations Security Council, and the United States has promised to veto any such requests. An arms embargo on conventional weapons also stays, preventing their import and export for five years.

Here’s where it gets really fun

But Iran has said it will not follow parts of the nuclear deal that restricts its military capabilities, a stance reaffirmed by President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday.

“We will buy, sell and develop any weapons we need and we will not ask for permission or abide by any resolution for that,” he said in a speech at the unveiling ceremony broadcast live on state television.

“We can negotiate with other countries only when we are powerful. If a country does not have power and independence, it cannot seek real peace,” he said.

Hooray for the Iran Deal! If Iran is straight up telling the world that they will cheat on missiles and weapons, why would they not cheat on their nuclear weapons aspirations, which Iran will still not come clean on?

Then there’s this, which is in the YNet News article, as well

(Israel National News) Iran has made clear it intends to breach another section of the agreement, when it vowed to flout the part of the UN resolution that adopted the nuclear deal in which Iran is required not to test long-range ballistic missiles that can be used to carry a nuclear payload.

Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Aerospace Force Commander Brig. Gen. Amir Ali Hajizadeh was quoted by Fars on Friday reiterating the promise to hold ballistic missile tests in breach of the UN resolution.

“The IRGC Aerospace Force will hold a large-scale ballistic missiles war-games soon,” Hajizadeh vowed.

Iran, again, is flat-out saying they will cheat and ignore terms of the deal. They will be flush with cash as the sanctions are removed. They can use that cash to purchase and manufacture weapons, including more advanced missiles (like the one mention near the beginning of this post), then give them to the terrorist groups Iran sponsors, which will be used against Israel. Heck of a job, Obama and Kerry!

Any elected Democrat who votes in favor of this deal will have the blood of anyone killed by Iran and those they sponsor on their hands.

It’s Time For Repentance On Hotcoldwetdry Or Something

Remember, the “climate change” movement has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with religion. And using Hotcoldwetdry in the headline is 100% justified

A time for repentance: Implications of climate change for Nebraska

Will a changing climate bring better conditions or a harsher environment for farmers?

Will we see more rainfall or a new Dust Bowl?

Yes is the answer to these questions, according to University of Nebraska-Lincoln climatologist and drought expert Don Wilhite.

Better and worse ’cause “climate change”? Check. Flood and drought? Check. No matter the question, “climate change” is the answer.

It was these questions and Wilhite’s answers that prompted the Rev. Kim Morrow to leave the pulpit for the conference table, with the hope that faith, ethics and a moral imperative can change the course of the world. (snip)

“Climate change is the most pressing moral issue of our time,” Morrow said. “The faith community is concerned not only for the fate of species and habitat, but for human beings. Changing weather patterns threaten to wreak havoc on people’s lives and property, on our communities and our infrastructure. The more we understand and act now, the more we can mitigate suffering in the future.”

Do you know what would be ethical and moral? If all the Cult of Climastrology members would stop using fossil fuels, make their own lives carbon neutral, and refuse to breed. Oh, and stop trying to increase the size of government it’s control over citizens.

According to Wilhite’s report, Nebraska will see 8- to 9-degree temperature increases by the last quarter of the center, if greenhouse gas pollution continues at its current rates.

Extreme precipitation events also will become more common, as will periods of severe drought. The changing climate will bring pendulum swings between extremes to our state, said Morrow, director of Nebraska Interfaith Power & Light and now a climate change resource specialist working with Wilhite in the school of Applied Climate Science at UNL.

Hotcoldwetdry.

“In religious terms it’s time for repentance, which means to change or to turn. The first step is to tell the truth and have the courage to look deeply and look truthfully into what’s happening. And the second is make changes to become healthier,” Morrow said. “This is the moment we are at as a society. It’s time to have the courage to look deeply and tell the truth and take action for ourselves and our future.”

Repent, Warmists! Time to give up your modern lives and live like it’s 10,000 B.C.!

Majority Want Congress To Reject Obama’s Iran Deal

Wait, I thought 99% of the world wants this deal, per Obama? No? Problematically, the majority in the country Obama is supposed to care about doesn’t. Not that he gives a flying you-know-what

(The Blaze) More Americans are expressing their disapproval of the Obama administration’s nuclear deal with Iran, according to a recent CNN poll.

According to the poll released on Thursday, 56 percent of Americans think Congress should reject the deal the U.S. and five other world powers made with Iran. That poll also showed that 60 percent of Americans surveyed disapproved of how President Barack Obama has handled the country’s relationship with Iran, CNN reported.

It should be noted that 41% want it passed, down from 44%. The undecideds have decreased from 5% to 2%.

Fifty-eight percent of independent voters think Congress should reject the deal next month.

Opposition to the deal has jumped from 66% to 83% amongst Republicans, and support by Democrats has gone from 61% to 70%.

Is it any wonder that more are disapproving of the deal, when we continue to find out more and more information on just how bad it is, particularly the side deals?

The document, titled “Separate arrangement II” – which was referenced in a Wednesday AP story and published Thursday – indicates that Iranians will be allowed to inspect themselves for evidence of the nuclear work they conducted at Parchin [a][b]. Instead of allowing IAEA inspectors to collect evidence from the facility, samples will be collected by the Iranians using Iranian equipment. Instead of allowing the IAEA to collect everything it wants, only seven samples will be handed over from mutually agreed upon areas. Instead of giving inspectors access to facilities, photos and videos will be taken by the Iranians themselves, again only from mutually agreed upon areas.

This is like allowing a pro athlete to take his/her own blood and urine samples at home with no one watching to check for drug violations. Of course, cheating just means better performance on the field. When, not if, Iran cheats, it means they are closer to developing nuclear weapons.

Obama also sees similar numbers for his handling of foreign affairs, with 43% approving, 56% disapproving.

Washington Post Very Concerned That Trump’s Rhetoric Whips Up Violence

They have exactly one example, but, hey, they must do what they can to bash Trump and protect illegal aliens. Interestingly, the Editorial Board is just fine blaming Trump, and by extension, his supporters, for this, but fails to hold Islam responsible for the numerous and constant attacks by Islamic jihadis. I’m also waiting with baited breath for the WPEB to blame Blacks for all the violence in their own neighborhoods, backed by Democratic party anti-police policies

Mr. Trump’s immigrant-bashing rhetoric breeds violence

DONALD TRUMP’S rapidly expanding catalogue of bombast is already a weighty tome, and it’s a fool’s errand to take each of his utterances seriously. Still, his loathsome comment on Wednesday, in which he excused violence against a Hispanic man in Boston as “passionate” acts of “people who are following me,” taps into a dark vein in American history and merits special attention.

In the Boston incident, two brothers were charged with using a metal pole to assault a 58-year-old Hispanic man. The man, who was homeless, was left with a broken nose and other injuries to his face, arms and chest. “Donald Trump was right, all these illegals need to be deported,” one of the brothers, Scott Leader, told police, the Boston Globe reported.

Of course, Trump never once called for violence against illegals. BTW, it wasn’t Trump who released vast amounts of violent illegal aliens.

When Mr. Trump was told of the incident, in which the brothers also are alleged to have urinated on the man before beating him, he said the following: “It would be a shame. . . . I will say that people who are following me are very passionate. They love this country and they want this country to be great again. They are passionate.”

They are passionate. They are tired of the status quo. They are tired of politicians in it for their own benefit. They are also not the ones who killed a woman on a pier in San Francisco. That would be an illegal alien.

Mr. Trump, under a barrage of criticism, took more than a day to retreat from his original statement, finally tweeting that he “would never condone violence” and “we must treat each other with respect.” This from the man who slandered undocumented immigrants as “rapists” and suggested Fox News journalist Megyn Kelly had asked him tough questions because she was menstruating.

The menstruating thing has already been shot down, but, hey, newspapers are not places of facts. As far as rapists go, how about this one? And this one? I could continue listing case after case.

Mr. Trump’s immigrant-bashing rhetoric is intended to galvanize political anger and win Republican primaries, not incite a lynch mob. The trouble is that his contempt-filled hyperbole appeals not to rational discourse but to passions — passions that can and do get out of hand.

Of course, Trump is not bashing immigrants, but illegal aliens. To Leftists, they are one and the same, as they have no respect for the rule of law. But, by their own standards, the Democratic Party, and, hey, the Washington Post, bear responsibility for any attacks on police officers, who have been bashed.

What this really all shows is that the WPEB is taking Trump’s candidacy seriously, knowing that he is a threat to Hillary or whichever Democrat wins the primary in the race for the White House. Funny thing is, the more Trump is attacked by Democrats, the liberal media, and even the GOP Establishment, the more ground he gains.
