Agenda News: TG Woman’s Defiance Supposedly Backfired On “Her”

There’s a reason I call this “agenda driven news”, and we’ll get to that shortly. First, though, let’s see a photo of this lady in question

Biological man or woman? If you didn’t already know from the headline, what would you think? Would you even consider whether a man or woman? That screenshot comes from the video, which is worth a watch to further reinforce the agenda driven news, which appeared on the front page of WTVD, and was obviously part of their live news

TRANSGENDER DURHAM WOMAN SAYS DEFIANCE BACKFIRED ON HER

There’s a movement on social media where transgender people go into bathrooms and snap selfies in the mirror. They’re doing so in defiance of House Bill 2.

One transgender Durham woman said she wanted to make a statement when she went into a women’s restroom, but says she learned what’ll happen if you’re caught.

Alexis Adams is a transgender woman and says she used the women’s restroom inside the Durham Transit Center.

She says she was humiliated beyond belief and bystanders were stunned as security escorted her out of the Transit Center Thursday.

“I couldn’t think. I couldn’t speak. I was speechless,” Alexis Adams said.

She claims a custodian confronted her when she came out of a stall, and then security came, and she was “outed in front of everybody.” First, can you imagine a situation in which a custodian would go into the women’s room to confront someone like this? Perhaps if they heard something breaking or people fighting, maybe bawling their heads off. Even then, they’d probably call security or the police, because they wouldn’t want to lose their jobs. Second, isn’t the point of taking selfies “outing in front of everybody?”

Durham officials said they have not been able to substantiate Adams’ claim that an incident occurred.

“We talked to staff and police officers, we can’t find any evidence she was escorted out,” said Durham Public Affairs Director Beverly Thompson.

Does Ms. Adams have a shred of proof that this occurred? Better yet, does WTVD have a shred of proof that this happened? They ran with this story, put it on broadcast, yet, it couldn’t be substantiated. Are there any witnesses? The Durham PD public affairs department would like to know. How is this in any way news if the story cannot be substantiated? Why did WTVD show little journalistic integrity in the way they ran the story when it couldn’t be substantiated? Because this is agenda driven news. Someone makes a claim, it fits in with the liberal bias, and a news outlet, and sometimes a lot of them, jump on it in a less than skeptical manner.

Did they ask to review any security video of the incident? Surely, there are security cameras within the Durham Transit Center.

How many hoaxes have been exposed after the news media ran with the stories? We just had the Whole Foods anti-gay cake hoax (and the hoaxer, Pastor Jordan Brown, skipping Sunday service). We just found out that a campus noose incident at Salisbury College was a hoax perpetrated by two Black students. So many of these incidents of hate and such end up being hoaxes. And the media runs with them, rarely ever asking for proof. Did WTVD ask Ms. Adams if she could prove the allegation?

And, if you saw “her” going in the ladies room, would you even think about it?

“Confronting Climate Change Is Our Moral Obligation”, You Guys!

More proof that this is really more a cult than a science, as multiple religious leaders yammer on about Hotcoldwetdry

(The Hill) We are bishops from the global South and North, united by faith and humanity. As pastors, we seek to comfort the young and the old, the healthy and the infirm.

We try to ensure that the powerless are heard and the powerful are engaged. In accordance with these values, we join hands with Pope Francis to call upon our leaders to protect all of creation from ecological calamity as they prepare to sign the Paris climate change accord later this week at the United Nations headquarters in New York. (Snip)

Those of us living in the industrialized nations in the global North know that we are disproportionately responsible for carbon pollution. Those of us living in developing nations in the global South know that we are disproportionately impacted by climate change. In solidarity, then, we must all examine our lifestyles with sobriety and support public policies that place the common good of everyone over the narrow self-interests of the few.

In other words, these religious leaders are advocating for more authoritarian government over freedom.

Agreeable Warm Weather Is A Clear Sign Of ‘Climate Change’ Or Something

So far, it seems as if climate change, whether it is mostly/solely natural, mostly/solely man induced, or somewhere in between, has people happy with the weather. They find it agreeable and preferable. this has made the Cult of Climastrology very unhappy, though

Huh. It seems that the subhead contradicts the headline, since El Nino is very much a natural process that has been going on well before the current warm period.

Unseasonably warm weather across Australia, which is set to continue through the coming month, might be putting a spring in people’s step but is a clear sign of dangerous climate change, according climate scientists and meteorologists.

Australia and the rest of the world have been reeling from a string of temperature records being smashed. February caused alarm when it was the most unusually warm month on record by a huge margin. But that record was broken immediately by March.

In other words, we’re doomed from agreeable weather. Yes, Warmists are serious. Such is the doom and gloom bubble they live in.

“The previous record had about a one in 43-year chance due to natural climate variations alone but now occurs about one year in six in the present climate, that is already affected by human-caused climate change,” he told Guardian Australia.

“It’s evidence that climate change is already happening – and increasing the risks of hot extremes.”

It’s interesting that when it is cold records being smashed, and we see things like spring snow, years without a spring, snow in Egypt, etc, it is dismissed as being just weather. Or blamed on ‘climate change’ and someone driving a fossil fueled vehicle.

The current spike in warm weather is happening partly because of the monster El Niño that spread a pulse of warm water across the Pacific Ocean in 2015. That El Niño is dissipating, spreading the warmer water around Australia, raising temperatures.

No, it’s pretty much happening solely because of El Nino, and the fact that warm periods happen.

But all that was happening on top of the background of global warming, Trewin said. He said that these days, in an El Niño year, the world tended to experience extreme temperatures and merely “above average” temperatures in other years. Only when a La Niña cooled the globe were there normal or slightly cool temperatures.

What is “normal”? Was it normal to see a dip in temperatures from the 1940’s through the 1970’s, despite a huge rise in the use of fossil fuels, energy, and manufacturing? No worries, Warmists will always have some sort of excuse and will always apply some blame. Because that’s what pseudo-religious cults do.

Of course, most cults don’t demand that the government institute massive tax schemes and restrict the liberty of private citizens.

White House Blamestorms Over Continued Weak GDP Numbers

Remember, Hillary wants to continue with similar economic policies if she becomes president

(Washington Post) The White House labored Thursday to explain a first-quarter economic report showing the weakest growth in two years, even as President Obama was trumpeting his mastery of the economy in a New York Times Magazine interview.

The Department of Commerce reported that U.S. gross domestic product rose 0.5 percent in the first quarter of 2016, the third straight sluggish start to a year. Consumer spending and business purchases both fell, continuing trends that could have ominous implications for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign as she tries to claim the mantle as Mr. Obama’s successor.

Of all the metrics used to quantify economic well being, GDP is the most important. And GDP has been anemic during the vast majority of Obama’s presidency. This is the worst economic recovery since the Great Depression. So, of course, Blamestorming!

Jason Furman, Mr. Obama’s top economic adviser, blamed the first-quarter slowdown on “weak foreign demand and low oil prices,” and some private economists say growth should pick up later this year. But Republicans were quick to trumpet the disappointing number as an indictment of the administration’s economic stewardship.

Not too be outdone, Josh Earnest

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said that congressional Republicans were in part to blame for the weak growth, saying the economy would be stronger if Congress had agreed to Mr. Obama’s proposals for higher spending on infrastructure projects three or four years ago.

“The reason that opportunity was missed was because of Republicans’ stubborn refusal to consider any priority that President Obama has identified. That’s unfortunate,” Mr. Earnest said.

So, the answer is more government spending, per Earnest. Why is the answer never “grow the private sector”? Mr. Obama himself attempted to defend his poor economic record in an interview with the NY Times, which is long on excuses. And Republicans were quick to pounce

“Today’s GDP report showing the weakest period of economic growth in two years is the latest sign the Obama economy isn’t working,” said Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus. “Despite all of the evidence Obama’s liberal policies are leaving middle-class families behind and holding back growth, Hillary Clinton thinks this president doesn’t get enough credit and wants to double down on his failed agenda.”

The only two metrics that seem to be doing well, at least on the surface, are the unemployment rate and stock markets. Of course, the unemployment rate is low due to historic numbers of people dropping out of the jobs market, and let’s not forget that wages are low, due to so many of the jobs being part time and service industry. As far as the stock market goes, I thought liberals hated Wall Street? GDP, along with earnings growth, are the two most important metrics for We The People. If you’re one of the 1%ers, you’re doing pretty well in the Obama economy. Otherwise, you aren’t doing so well. And if this continued poor GDP continues, Obama will have a historic record

Again, assuming 2.67% RGDP growth for 2016, Obama will leave office having produced an average of 1.55% growth. This would place his presidency fourth from the bottom of the list of 39*, above only those of Herbert Hoover (-5.65%), Andrew Johnson (-0.70%) and Theodore Roosevelt (1.41%)

Congratulations, Mr. Obama! Of course, this means economic pain for the non-1%, who have suffered under your foolish economic and regulatory state policies.

Obama Thinks A Bigger Fence Is Great For The White House

Imagine, if you make the fence around the White House a little bit taller, it would stop idiots from jumping over it

(NBC)  The U.S. Secret Service plans to raise the height of the White House security fence by 5 feet and add a new concrete foundation to reduce the risk of fence-jumpers, according to a copy of an agency report obtained by the News4 I-Team.

The agency, along with the National Park Service, said it intends to begin building a “taller, stronger” fence to protect the White House grounds by 2018.

In all fairness, this seems to be originating with said Secret Service, not the Obama administration. But, Obama has been dead set against the wall on the Mexican border, and has bashed Donald Trump for his plan to build a bigger and better wall. Why won’t he put the kibosh on this bigger fence if they do not work and separate people?

BTW, just to reiterate, I’m not a big fan of a wall along the entire border, I think there are better methods, as I’ve outlined previously.

Bathroom Wars: NCAA To Require All Arenas Be “Inclusive

The NCAA has announced their own little hissy fit

(ESPN) The North Carolina cities of Greensboro and Charlotte must prove to the NCAA how each site will provide a discrimination-free zone in their respective arenas, or risk losing hosting privileges for the NCAA tournament’s first and second rounds in 2017 and 2018, multiple NCAA officials told ESPN on Wednesday night.

In a statement provided to ESPN, the NCAA said, “Currently awarded sites must report how they will provide an environment that is safe, healthy and free of discrimination, plus safeguards the dignity of everyone involved in the event. The information must be reported to the Board of Governors Ad Hoc Committee to Promote Cultural Diversity and Equity, and full implementation is expected during the current bidding process.”

The response was due to the NCAA Board of Governors adopting an anti-discrimination measure earlier in the day at their quarterly meeting in Indianapolis.

This statement applies to all, not just North Carolina and Georgia. It appears as if they will require all arenas to allow the gender confused in the bathrooms of the opposite sex. Hey, what could possibly go wrong with intoxicated men deciding they want to go into the ladies room with lots of college babes? God help any arena employee who dares to question any male, or female, who decides to use an opposite gender bathroom. They’ll surely be terminated one the typical Outrage starts, and hounded on social media.

“The higher education community is a diverse mix of people from different racial, ethnic, religious and sexual orientation backgrounds,” board chairman and Kansas State president Kirk Schulz said in a statement. “So it is important that we assure that community … will always enjoy the experience of competing and watching at NCAA championships without concerns of discrimination.”

Nothing like exposing women to sexual predators. Oh, and if it’s so diverse, then why would they utterly discount the opinions and feelings of those who do not want the opposite gender in their bathrooms, locker rooms, changing rooms, and showers?

I will give the NCAA this: it is a policy that applies to all. Will they enforce it, though? Virtually no arena across the country allows this. We’ll see when they pick the host arenas.

Oh, let’s not forget that the NCAA just held the Final Four at the NRG Stadium. In Houston. Which voted down allowing the gender confused from using the bathroom of their daily choice. Why didn’t the NCAA care less than a month ago?

Democrats Introduce ‘Climate Change’ Bonds Bill, Say You’re Unpatriotic If You Do Not Buy Them

It has zero chance of passing a Republican Congress, it will never even make it out of committee. This is a new one in regards to using Other People’s money, though

(The Hill) Two Senate Democrats have introduced a bill to create a new climate change adaptation fund to be paid for through new federal bonds.

The bond program — from Sens. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) — would provide up to $200 million annually for a Commerce Department grant program to fund climate change adaptation work around the country.

Introducing the bill on Wednesday, Boxer and Durbin compared the climate change bond program to the war bonds sold by the federal government during the World Wars.

Except, those wars were real, based on real issues. If Barbara and Dick really cared, they’d stop traveling across the country using fossil fuels.

Boxer said the bonds would let Americans literally buy into federal climate change work.

In other words, they will be forced to buy those bonds when all is said and done, and their patriotism will be questioned if they don’t.

“It gives the American people the chance to adapt to what is coming while we fight to reduce the ravages,” she said at a press conference. “We already see the ravages have started.”

Ravages!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fund would tap an expert committee — made up of bipartisan appointments — to vet projects designed to adapt to climate change, focusing on everything from droughts to flooding to severe weather events.

In other words, the weather. Things that have always happened, and will always happen.

Boxer is super excited

Funny how all this seems to enable more government. Because that is what it does. But, if you don’t want to buy climate bonds, you’re unpatriotic (you thought I was being over the top earlier in the post and in the headline, didn’t you)
