Trump: Hillary Wants To Abolish The 2nd Amendment

The Donald has had a very busy weekend. He engaged in a Twitter war with Elizabeth “Fake Indian” Warren, nicknaming her “Goofy”, and doing what no politician who says he’s a Republican would do: calling her out for her fake Indian background. Then there’s this

(The Hill) Donald Trump threw a new claim Hillary Clinton’s way at a Saturday rally, telling the crowd that she wants to do away with the Second Amendment.

“Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to abolish it,” Trump said at a Saturday rally in Lynden, Wash. “Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to take the bullets away.”

“We’re going to cherish the Second Amendment, we’re going to take care of the Second Amendment.”

Obviously, the media went into overdrive in saying that Hillary has proposed no such thing

Clinton is in favor of universal background checks, closing loopholes on gun purchases and increasing restrictions on domestic abusers and the mentally ill. And she wants to repeal the law that prevents victims of gun violence from suing retailers or manufacturers, among other measures.

But Clinton said at a recent event that “we can’t ignore the Second Amendment” and has never proposed ending legal gun ownership entirely.

Does Hillary want to do away with the 2nd? It’s obviously campaign trail hyperbole, based on the notion that many Liberals do, in fact, want to do away with the 2nd. But, since that would be damned near impossible, they will use things like “universal background checks” to deny people firearms ownership for the most minuscule of reasons. They want extra taxes on firearms and ammunition, making them too expensive. They want government tracking at all times. They want victims of shootings to sue firearms makers. Do we sue alcohol makers when a person gets drunk, gets behind the wheel, and hits someone? Do we sue a bathtub manufacturer when we fall in the bathtub? There’s no reason other than litigating gun manufacturers out of business (well, throwing a sop to the lawyers who back Democrats, of course).

This is the Democratic Party playbook. Go for a big big “comprehensive” law, while also doing a “death by a 1,000 papercuts” method. They say they support women, but, they want to disarm women, leaving them at risk from criminals. Speaking of women, Trump also took on Bill Clinton’s misogyny and treatment of women, tying Hillary in

Trump said the former secretary of State was an “enabler” who “treated these women horribly.”

“Some of those women were destroyed … by the way Hillary Clinton treated them after it went down,” he said.

Say what you will about Trump, he knows buttons, and unlike most elected Republicans, he doesn’t push the button once in a shot across the bow. He continues to fire shot after shot after shot. You can expect that Trump will continue to push certain memes from now until election day.

Collectivism Is Latest Warmist Idea To Convince People To Care About AGW

Someone did a study, and came up with a dandy idea

(Huffington Post) How do you persuade someone to take action on climate change?

Conventional wisdom says to convince people that it’s their duty to recycle more, drive less or eat fewer burgers. But that might not be the best motivator, according to a new study from researchers at The University of California, San Diego.

Instead, if people believe climate change to be an issue of collective responsibility — that is, if they think it’s caused by a global reliance on fossil fuels, for instance — they’re more likely to actually do something about it.

Interesting. But, this is the way Warmists have been positioning anthropogenic climate change for decades, that we’re all doomed and that we all need to Do Something. Yet, even among those who believe heavily in AGW, there is little action within their own lives.

Environmental activists have tended to assume that appeals to personal responsibility would get people fired up about slowing the rapid pace of climate change, Obradovich added. Convincing people to contribute to a climate change campaign or reduce their carbon footprint meant asking them to think about how their everyday behaviors — how they eat, get around or use electricity — might be contributing to the problem.

But when Obradovich asked participants in his study to think about climate change in collective terms, he found that their donations to a pro-climate advocacy organization jumped by 50 percent.

In other words, Warmists are happy to pony up a bit of money so that Other People can do something, because they damned sure won’t change their own modern big carbon footprint lives.

Hillary Tries Out A Nickname For Trump: “The Presumptuous Nominee”

I wonder how many hours and meetings were put into this effort? You know she doesn’t do off script and in the moment very well

(ABC) Donald Trump has been known to assign nicknames to his rival presidential candidates. But now it appears he’s getting a taste of his own medicine — from Hillary Clinton.

During a campaign event in Oakland, California, on Friday at La Escuelita Elementary School, the Democratic presidential front-runner prescribed a new name for the man who is being called the Republican presumptive nominee: The “presumptuous nominee.”

“Their presumptive nominee, otherwise called their presumptuous nominee,” Clinton told the crowd to laughter, referring to the Republicans, “has made it really clear he basically said wages are too high in America. And that’s why he doesn’t think we need to raise the minimum wage. And I gotta tell you I ask myself all the time, who he is talking to?”

I betting the majority had to whip out their phones and look the word up. They knew it was supposed to be snarky, but, that’s about it. Just for the record, Merriam-Webster defines it as “too confident especially in a way that is rude : done or made without permission, right, or good reason.”

Trump, meanwhile, refers to Clinton as “Crooked Hillary.” He also had nicknames for his former rivals: “Lyin’ Ted” for Ted Cruz, “Little Marco” for Marco Rubio, and Jeb “Low Energy” Bush.

Regardless of your opinion or support (or lack thereof) of Donald Trump, which nickname will work better? Which one will stick? Because Trump will use the “crooked Hillary” name on a constant basis. It flows easily. It is easily understood. It leads to conversation regarding her crookedness. “Presumptuous nominee” leads to looks of confusion.

And yeah, yeah, I know, the early electoral maps are not trending Trump. We have a long way to go to November.

Todd Starnes: “Do the rights of boys who identify as girls trump the rights of girls who are born girls?”

Fox News’ Todd Starnes offers some fundamental questions in the Bathroom Wars

Do the rights of boys who identify as girls trump the rights of girls who are born girls?

That question is at the heart of a lawsuit filed by dozens of Illinois parents after the Obama administration’s Department of Education strong-armed their school district into allowing a transgender student the right to use all girls’ locker rooms.

“The girls are mortified,” said Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Jeremy Tedesco, a religious liberty law firm representing some 50 families. “They are in a constant state of fear that their bodies are going to be exposed to a male in these settings. It’s a constant state of stress and anxiety for them.”

Some girls have taken to wearing their gym clothes under their regular clothes. Some wait till the last minute for gym. Some avoid the changing rooms altogether. Many are concerned about using the bathrooms. And many are bullied and called names because they do not want to show their bodies to a biological male who thinks he is a girl.

In 2015 the DOE warned the Township High School District 211 in Palatine that unless they gave a biologically male student unfettered access to the girls’ locker rooms – they would revoke $6 million in federal funding.

In other words, the Obama administration committed a de facto act of extortion.

Why is the federal government allowed to do something that would get anyone or any company in the private sector a nice long jail term? Why is the federal government overriding the civil rights of the majority?

The lawsuit filed May 4th in federal court alleges the DOE’s actions have (among other things) violated the girls’ right of privacy.

“Every day these girls go to school, they experience embarrassment, humiliation, anxiety, fear, apprehension, stress, degradation, and loss of dignity because they will have to use the locker room and restroom with a biological male,” the lawsuit states.

Rather than finding some middle ground, such as an area set aside for the fake girl to change, using a single stall bathroom, etc, los federales and the interest groups DEMAND that the gender confused be allowed to use everything that the real boys and girls use.

Fox Business anchor Trish Regan asked a profound question on her show this week regarding the transgender bathroom controversy that has gripped the nation.

“What about the civil rights of women who don’t want men in their bathrooms,” she asked. “Do their rights matter at all?”

I’m afraid the answer to that question is no – the rights of women do not matter.

And any woman or young girl who complains about sharing locker rooms or shower stalls or bathrooms with a biological male — risks being labeled a transphobic bigot.

Liberals say they are the people that care about women’s rights, yet, they throw women under the bus when the situation arises, they back it up over them. They’ve been doing this when it comes to radical Islam, and they’re now doing it when it comes to the gender confused.

Naomi Klein: ‘Climate Change” Is Making Everything Worse Or Something

But, not her. She’s not one those nasty, mean, self righteous lefties. She is one of those who tells us that this whole charade is actually about changing all our economic and political systems to hardcore Leftist ones. And

(Guardian) Climate change is spawning injustice, racism, intolerance and wars, according to author and political activist Naomi Klein.

“It is not about things getting hotter and wetter but things getting meaner and uglier, unless we change the corrosive values that are pitting people against each other,” she said in a lecture held in memory of Palestinian literary critic and political activist Edward Said at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre on Wednesday.

“Fossil fuels, which are the principal driver of climate change, require the sacrifice of whole regions and people. Sacrificial zones like the Niger delta and the tar sands in Alberta, Canada, dot the world.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. How’d she get from Canada to London? A row boat? Or a fossil fueled airplane? But, this is just another example, originating from a leading member of the Cult of Climastrology, that ‘climate change’ is just another vehicle for Progressives to push their hardcore, radical ideas, as they link just about everything to ‘climate change’, as either a cause or that it makes some things worse.

Let’s Make Every Day Earth Day To Fight Hotcoldwetdry Or Something

The article rather has a good point, namely that we should be thinking about the environment every day, not just one day, or one hour, a year. But, of course, ‘climate change’ is not an environmental issue, it’s a political one

(San Diego Free Press) Last month’s annual Earth Day reminded people all over the globe of the importance of our planet’s health to everyday lives and to survival of future generations.  Locally, thousands swarmed Balboa Park to celebrate the popular Earth Fair San Diego.

Earth Day plays a larger role than sending a powerful message about the necessity of environmental protection and sustainability. More directly, it attracts countless volunteers in San Diego and beyond to spend the holiday working toward creating a healthier planet and pushing back against forces that are rapidly changing our climate.

See, I was good with everything except the survival of our species thing and climate. We should care about our environment. We should do what we can. Be environmentally responsible.

But, this is about climate change, so, the author Hutton Marshall, who’s a member of the always unhinged 350.org, has a few recommendations, the first of which is to volunteer for an environmental organization. Because free labor.

Ah, but he also recommends that Warmists lead by example, and

For starters, try walking or biking to work or school whenever possible–your body and your wallet will thank you for that. Installing solar panels and insulation, going “zero waste” and installing low-flow shower heads to reduce water usage are all ways to make an impact without any time commitment – and are likely to save money over time.

One of the easiest ways for most people to significantly lower their carbon footprint is to reduce the amount of meat and dairy they eat – say cutting out a cheeseburger or two a week — because raising livestock for food is tremendously energy and water intensive. John Robbins, once heir to the world’s largest ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins, makes convincing arguments in his book and film Diet for a New America why we should not eat ice cream or other animal products.

Well, there you go. Get cracking, Warmists.

Mike Huckabee Has Meltdown Over #NeverTrump

It’s this kind of talk from Trumpbots that hardens the positions of the #NeverTrump and others that I refer to as the “I’ll consider him if he gives me a reason, rather than being a jackass”

(Mediaite) Former GOP candidate Mike Huckabee has come out in loud support of Donald Trump this week and is now blasting any Republicans threatening not to back him.

Shortly after Trump all but clinched the nomination Wednesday, Huckabee issued a statement pledging to go “all in” for Trump and criticizing the “hapless ‘Never Trump’ nonsense.” Huckabee had not pledged support to Trump until this week — although his daughter has been working for Trump’s campaign as a senior adviser since February.

And then during an appearance on Trump News, er, Fox News (well, really, aren’t all news stations now Trump News?)

When we nominated people over the past several election cycles, some of us had heartburn, but we stepped up and supported the nominee,” he said, and told any Republicans not backing Trump to leave the party. “This isn’t Burger King,” he said. “This is an election. And you don’t get it all the time just like you want it.”

“You’re either on the team, or you’re not on the team,” he added.

You’ll have to hit the link to watch the video and hear the tone of Huckabee in his derisiveness and condemnation. He’s a nice guy, but stunts like this are not going to bring people over to Trump’s side, even if we’re only talking about essentially voting against Hillary/Bernie. It’s portraying people who aren’t 100% on-board as the enemy.

Cult Of Climastrology Worried About Trump Killing Paris Agreement

One thing Trump has been consistent on is his belief that anthropogenic climate change is a scam. He cares about this issue about as much as most US citizens. In other words, it barely registers, and comes in last or next to last. And this has Warmists in a tizzy

(Daily Caller) One of the lead authors of the Paris climate summit agreement told an audience in London Monday that the election of Donald Trump would likely lead to doom and gloom for the deal forged in December.

The U.S. presidential election has weighed heavily on the hearts and minds of the architects of the climate summit, and many fear a Trump presidency would spell the end for the measure aiming to regulate global carbon emissions.

“Think about the impact of the coming U.S. presidential elections,” French foreign minister Laurent Fabius, said at the meeting. “If a climate change denier was to be elected, it would threaten dramatically global action against climate disruption.”

The agreement itself will go no further than Obama’s time in office, since it was never approved nor ratified by the US Senate. So, it’s important to make sure neither Hillary nor Sanders win in November.

When it comes to Donald Trump, there are things one might criticize him over, but this is not one of those issues. There are lots of issues in which we just really don’t know where Trump truly stands. This is not one. We could easily see a President Trump nixing this agreement, while also rolling back the federal governments rules and regulations on “carbon pollution”.

PS: funny joke in the comments

How many greenies does it take to change a working light bulb?
Answer. Seventeen:

One to claim the light is out, when it really isn’t.
One to observe the light is still working but is afraid to tell anyone.
One to falsify light ‘data’ observed from the active bulb.
One to call the claim ‘science’ because he really ‘believes’ it will make him rich.
One to report the light is out when they’re just too stupid to know.
One to threaten anyone who claims the light is still working.
One to pay the light bulb changer from tax revenues.
One to ‘kick-back’ some of that payment to any politician passing supporting laws.
One to promise to vote for anyone passing a supporting law.
One to promise to make it unlawful to deny the light is out.
One to promise the new light will work better than the old light, when it really won’t.
One to demonstrate at any event held by a denier.
One to claim the entire planet is at risk because of a denier.
One to claim the entire solar system is at risk because of a denier.
One to claim the entire galaxy is at risk because of a denier.
One to claim the known universe is at risk because of a denier.
One to claim the entire unknown universe is at risk because of a denier.
