Sore Losers: DNC Files Lawsuit Against Russia, Wikileaks, Trump For 2016 Election Loss

This is the Sore Loser Party being the embodiment of sore losers. They should just stand up and accept that they ran a bad candidate who wasn’t capable of running a campaign to beat Donald Trump, a guy who had never actually run a successful political campaign

Democratic Party files lawsuit alleging Russia, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks conspired to disrupt the 2016 campaign

The Democratic National Committee filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit Friday against the Russian government, the Trump campaign and the WikiLeaks organization alleging a far-reaching conspiracy to disrupt the 2016 campaign and tilt the election to Donald Trump.

The complaint, filed in federal district court in Manhattan, alleges that top Trump campaign officials conspired with the Russian government and its military spy agency to hurt Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and help Trump by hacking the computer networks of the Democratic Party and disseminating stolen material found there.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC Chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.

Because, you know, Hillary was Entitled to the presidency. Maybe she could have campaigned in states she needed to win. Not passed out on 9/11. You know the whole story.

The case asserts that the Russian hacking campaign — combined with Trump associates’ contacts with Russia and the campaign’s public cheerleading of the hacks — amounted to an illegal conspiracy to interfere in the election that caused serious damage to the Democratic Party. (snip)

The suit filed Friday seeks millions of dollars in compensation to offset damage it claims the party suffered from the hacks. The DNC argues that the cyberattack undermined its ability to communicate with voters, collect donations and operate effectively as its employees faced personal harassment and, in some cases, death threats.

The suit also seeks an acknowledgment from the defendants that they conspired to infiltrate the Democrats’ computers, steal information and disseminate it to influence the election.

Um, are these the “hacks” due to idiots not understanding how phishing works? The ones they didn’t want the FBI to investigate? Have they considered that, if this suit actually goes forward, the DNC and people like Debbie Wasserman Schultz will have to answer questions about why they wanted no outside involvement. And so much more. But, consider

Perhaps they know their talking points are going nowhere fast, so, they have to try some other desparation play.

‘Climate Change’ Is Causing Heavy Snow Or Something

Is there anything that disproves the Warmist assertion that a tiny increase in atmospheric CO2 causes Bad Weather? And impacts everything?

How climate change is causing heavy snowfall

Picture this: A snowstorm moves in and temperatures are just cold enough for all snow.

What happens to that same storm if you add extra moisture and slow the storm down?

You guessed it. It dumps even heavier snowfall.

The climate connection to Minnesota’s April blizzard is where we start Climate Cast. Here’s the rundown of the show:

Wetter climate, bigger snow events. Dominic Winski, a Dartmouth College researcher who has studied snowfall patterns, explains this connection.

It’s always some excuse with this cult. Hotcoldwetdry.

However, for the sake of argument, let’s say that that warning causes this (despite Warmists having told us that snow will end due to AGW): where’s the proof that this is all anthopogenic?

Illinois Town Flips The Script, Declares Itself Sanctuary For Law Abiding Gun Owners

While the rest of Illinois seems to be going the “lets put massive restrictions on law abiding citizens while ignoring all the criminals” route, including Deerfield, which banned all “assault rifles” from the city (good luck with the lawsuit, guys), this county is doing something different

(USA Today) An Illinois county’s board voted to make itself a sanctuary for gun owners and to not enforce laws that “unconstitutionally restrict the Second Amendment.”

The Effingham County Board approved the resolution 8-1 on Monday. Board members said they felt it was necessary to “take a stand” against gun control efforts in the Illinois legislature.

Effingham County State’s Attorney Bryan Kibler told Fox News that they decided to “flip the script” and “make this a sanctuary county like they would for undocumented immigrants.”

Kibler admitted the action is largely symbolic and Sheriff Dave Mahon told the Effingham Daily News that the board’s decision would not dictate how his office enforces the law.

Of course, the comparison to sanctuary jurisdictions is wrong, since they are protecting people who are unlawfully present in the U.S., while the county would protect law abiding citizens engaged in using their 2nd Amendment Rights. Regardless, this is about optics. And they aren’t the first one to do it. Iroquois County, Illinois, was the model for Effingham County’s resolution.

Will other counties and cities follow suit? Possibly. Most law abiding citizens would be fine with some legislation that could cause us slight inconvenience in order to make it much, much harder for criminals to obtain firearms, but we know these are just stepping stones for the gun grabbers to grab guns.

Uh Oh: Kids Have Been Playing “Border Agents And Migrants”

Obviously, liberals want to shut down this expression of free speech, and are Horrified. Here’s Fatherly

Kids Are Playing ‘Border Agents and Migrants’ Instead of ‘Cops and Robbers

In Benicia, California, a game called La Migra (The Immigrants) has taken a school by storm, much to the horror of parents. The game is, in essence, Cops and Robbers. Older high school students assume the role of ICE or immigration services and chase around underclassmen who assume the role of immigrants. The underclassmen playing as immigrants get a 10-minute head start once someone shouts “La Migra!” and the upperclassmen then have to look for them all over town. The only way for the immigrants to “win” is to make it through a mock border wall on the opposite side of Benicia. For fairly obvious reason, this has residents worried.

ZOMG! Notice, this is not young kids playing the game, having switched out cops and robbers for border agents and illegal aliens. This is older kids who’ve created the game. They would not have been play the cops and robbers game at that age. But, wait for it

“That’s pretty offensive,” said Daniel Serna, a local parent told ABC 30 Action News. “How would the district react if they pretended they were Nazis going after Jews or KKK going after Blacks? I think they would look at it a little different,”

Leave it up to a leftist to crank that amplifier up to 11 and make a comparison that is beyond absurd. At the ABC 30 link it continues to get crazy, and the crazy started with the headline about the game having “racist overtones.” Only if Black and/or Asian kids are playing, because most Hispanics are Caucasian, but, then, you can’t expect race baiters in the media to understand the meaning of words, right? But, Fatherly did some research not done by ABC 30

It is important, however, to note that La Migra is not new. Writer Gustavo Arellano, explains in a piece about the controversy, that he played La Migra as a child living in the Bay Area over 30-years ago. And, despite the concerns of some parents, many local Latino youths don’t seem to take much issue with the game.

“I want to do it because it’s fun. I’m all for fun and thrill-seeking,” Benicia high school student Elijah Alvarado told ABC 30. “I don’t mind because I’m Hispanic.”

Oh. So, no big deal. A bunch of high schoolers having fun, while supposed adults have hissy fits because they don’t want government to enforce the law.

Book And Show Post

It’s been awhile since I did a book post, but, hey, let’s do something different, especially since I have so many books to read I’m not even sure what to read next.

You can see on the sidebar I have it linked to my Goodreads account, showing ones I’ve finished. Lately, I’ve just had back to back to back to etc of ones that I Have To Read come out, starting with Run 3 by Rich Restucci. Then a Glimmer of Hope by Steve McHugh. Then The Light by Michael John Grist, which was the last book in the series (I would have liked a more detailed ending, going a bit further, rather than leaving the possibility open for a follow up.) And his books became tough reads because of the terminology used and such.

Then Double Down by M.R. Forbes, which was book 2 in a series which had followed a very long series. You can expect there to be a 3rd in a month or so. And on to Blood Ghast Blues by Jake Bible, an incredible science fiction writer who lives in Asheville, NC, which is the 2nd in a series.

After that I’m looking at

  • March to War by Timothy W. Long, 2nd in a series.
  • New Threat by Nathan Hystad, 2nd in a series
  • The Long Sunset by Jack McDevitt (been waiting for another book by him for awhile)
  • Dead Lost by Flint Maxwell, book 6 in series
  • You’re Never Ready for The Zombie Apocalypse by Jeff Thompson
  • New Strain by SJ Morris
  • Fallen Out by by Wayne Stinnett
  • Future Remains by Robert Jack
  • Dusk of Humanity by M.K. Dawn
  • plus a bunch of others I’ve downloaded samples for, and, of course, as more are released

I guess it’s a good problem to have, but, can make you blow through them a bit quick. The first 4 are the ones I will go through, then move on to the others.

So, what are you reading?

Also, what are you watching? Kinda stuck for binge watching material. I was finally able to binge watch Colony, now have to wait for season 3. Was able to do same with The Walking Dead, now waiting till it comes back near end of year. Rewatched Game of Thrones. And Band Of Brothers.

Oh, and if you haven’t watched Vikings, that was an incredible show. Now have to wait for the next season.  I tried Fear the Walking Dead, but, couldn’t make it through the first few episodes of season 2. Hated the way they treated the military in season 1, and, really, these characters are fools. They’re the type of people who get everyone else killed in a zombie apocalypse. They get off the ship with no weapons, and just walk around on their own? Good grief.

I’m thinking about Man in the High Tower and Black Sails. I tried The Expanse, through episode 3, but, just doesn’t make a lot of sense.

Any recommendations?

The Shipping Industry Is Finally Going To Cut It’s Hotcoldwetdry Emissions Or Something

Hooray, a sector that is finally practicing what it preaches!

The shipping industry is finally going to cut its climate change emissions. That’s a big deal.

Member nations of the United Nations body charged with regulating shipping on the high seas adopted a first-ever strategy Friday to blunt the sector’s large contribution to climate change — bringing another major constituency on board in the international quest to cap the planet’s warming well below an increase of 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit).

The strategy embraced by a committee of the International Maritime Organization would lower emissions from container ships, oil tankers, bulk carriers and other vessels by at least 50 percent by the year 2050 vs. where they stood in 2008. The group also said that emissions from shipping should reach a peak, and begin to decline, as soon as possible.

“IMO remains committed to reducing GHG emissions from international shipping and, as a matter of urgency, aims to phase them out as soon as possible in this century,” the group said.

Oh, wait, shippers are going to have this forced on them. They didn’t agree to cut its own “climate change emissions.” This is a forced solution by governmental bureaucrats who refuse to cut down on their own fossil fuels usage.

And that International Maritime Organization? Sounds like something all shipping companies are part of, right? Uh uh. It is a U.N. agency.

Of course

Yet despite the ambition of the current strategy for shipping, Rutherford’s group’s analysis shows that it may not be strong enough. The group says that to be consistent with the Paris agreement, shipping should emit no more than 17 billion tons of carbon-dioxide-equivalent emissions from 2015 onward but that the current agreement implies emissions between 28 billion and 43 billion tons. (No action at all, meanwhile, could have meant 101 billion tons.)

So, they’ll still want more and more. Surprise!

How will they do this? They do not really say. I supposed they have some sort of plan behind the scenes, but, you know what it will mean? Increased costs to you, the consumer.

Your Perfect Lawn Can Make ‘Climate Change’ Worse Or Something

Another day, another thing the Cult of Climastrology has to attempt to ruin

How perfect lawns can make climate change worse

On warm spring weekends, many people start tending to their yards. But while landscaping and grooming the lawn, they may be contributing to climate change.

Sara Via, a professor at the University of Maryland-College Park, says gas-powered tools are a significant source of carbon pollution.

Via: “Mowers, weed whackers, roto tillers, leaf blowers …”

Synthetic fertilizer also contributes. Via says it’s energy-intensive to produce, and when over-applied, it can stimulate microbes in the soil to produce more nitrous oxide, a potent greenhouse gas.

But she says people can make landscaping more climate-friendly – for example, by weeding and pruning using hand tools, or mowing with an electric mower. She says organic fertilizer is less harmful than synthetic, but it’s still important to use no more than needed.

She states that people shouldn’t worry if they have bad spots in their lawn, we should all just accept some imperfections. Should I jump into the notion that this is very much about city dwellers vs those in the suburbs and countryside? Na.

These people just need to mind their own damned business.

Bummer: American’s Interest In Gun Grabbing Policies Drops Bigly

There was a momentary spike in the importance of gun grabbing, but, that has faded

(VOA News) In the wake of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, many Americans said gun control was the most important issue facing the country.

That has changed, despite high profile events like school walk outs and the March for Our Lives protests.

A recent Gallup public opinion poll found those who think gun control is the most important issue dropped from 13 percent, a record, to six percent in just one month.

Now, more Americans think dissatisfaction with government (23 percent), immigration (11 percent) and race relations (seven percent) are all more important than gun control. (snip)

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Gallup found Democrats were twice as likely to think gun violence is among the most important issues compared to Republicans by eight to four percent respectively. Democrats also saw the biggest drop in those saying guns were the top problem, dropping by half in just one month.

Democrat interest in this dropped from 16% in March to just 8% in April. Only 5% of Independents care, and 4% of Republicans.

But, the gun grabbers won’t give up. Illinois is attempting to lead the charge with a whole host of new restrictions. One would have thought they would look towards Chicago to see how well gun grabber laws have worked for the law abiding citizens. One of the big ones is allowing local jurisdictions to make their own laws in contradiction of state law and the state Constitution.

In California they’re looking to expand the places that law abiding citizens may no longer carry a firearm to protect themselves from the criminals the Democratic Party defends and loves.

But, in Vermont, one group is suing over the state’s new gun control laws. What we do know is that Democrats aren’t concerned about criminals, because few of their gun control policies are meant to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals nor punish those who have they and/or use them illegally. Almost all is aimed at the law abiding citizens. Hence why we call it gun grabbing.
