Happy Sunday! Another fantastic day in Returned America. The Sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the NY Giants have a chance (not, really, but, there is always hope). Not sure who this pinup is by, can’t find a name.

BTW, yes, I am also tired of these slowdowns and brief offlines. I keep trying little things on the backend, not sure what is causing this, because I watch my development site, it doesn’t usually have the same issues. I’m giving it to the end of the year. Traffic has dropped to about half.

Trump Going After The Mythical Antifa Is Cracking Down On Dissent Or Something

Democrats and their media stooges keep telling us Antifa doesn’t exist, even though Antifa tells us they exist

Huh

Trump goes after antifa, sparking fears about crackdown on dissent

An executive order labeling antifa as a domestic terrorist organization is spurring pushback from critics across the ideological spectrum who say President Trump is laying the groundwork to crack down on those with opposing views.

Short for anti-fascism, national security experts say antifa is not the sprawling, organized group that Trump has claimed but rather a loosely formed ideological movement, one at times embraced by protesters who have violently clashed with police.

“Antifa is a movement like feminism or environmental activism, as opposed to a distinct group,” said Faiza Patel, director of the Liberty and National Security Program at the left-leaning Brennan Center for Justice.

“This is not like a group that you can sort of target with financial sanctions in the same way you would with a foreign terrorist organization. So then that leads you to the question of, well, then what does this executive order actually do?” she said.

Just like feminism! Except for the whole part about attacking people and buildings over the years. Attacking law enforcement.

If you’ve followed Andy you know there is a long history of documenting all the violence by Antifa

“These are not lone, isolated events. This is part of an organized campaign of radical left terrorism,” deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller said Thursday. “It is structured, it is sophisticated, it is well-funded, it is well-planned. There is really no parallel like this to anything else in the country right now.”

But, you know, cracking down on violent wackjobs on the left is bad

Pat Eddington, a fellow with the libertarian Cato Institute, called the executive order “idiotic” but said it carries significant risks because Trump administration officials will take it seriously, and can use it as a pretext for going after those espousing views Trump doesn’t like.

It’s almost like these people were in comas from 2021-January 2025. They do think you the peasants are stupid.

If Antifa is so innocuous why are they doing this?

That said, I am against Trump sending federal forces to Portland. Let the left wing, wackadoodle, high crime city suffer. I understand the need to protect ICE facilities, though.

Surprise: Fossil Fuels Hating PRC Trying To Keep Fossil Fuels Companies From Leaving

Here’s from October 2024

Why Oil Companies Are Leaving California

On October 16, 2024, the refiner Phillips 66 announced that it will cease operations at its Los Angeles-area refinery in the fourth quarter of 2025. This announcement came a few days after California Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law placing additional regulations on refineries.

The closure will affect approximately 600 employees and 300 contractors that currently work at the Los Angeles-area refinery. Politico reported that this closure would also impact 8% of the state’s already tight gasoline production.

Although Phillips 66 spokesperson Al Ortiz denied in an email to Politico that the closure was a response to Newsom’s signing the new law, California’s treatment of its oil industry has undoubtedly been a factor.

The news follows an announcement in August 2024 that Chevron, the second-largest U.S. oil company, will relocate from its California headquarters to Texas. The company, with roots in California dating back to 1879, will transition its headquarters to Houston over the next five years.

Chevron’s move comes as a response to California’s stringent regulations and aggressive climate policies. Chevron’s CEO, Mike Wirth, expressed concerns about the state’s business environment in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

I still maintain the companies should stop selling their products to the state government of the People’s Republic Of California. Stopping operations in the PRC will increase the cost of energy in the state, and moving operations to other states will deny a lot of tax money. Anyhow, now

California trying to keep oil and gas firms from leaving the state

Following 25 years of what oil and gas executives categorize as hostility to the industry, the state is now making a play to keep those companies from leaving.

Concerned with the exodus of oil and gas companies, refinery closures and the expensive price of gasoline in the state, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation last week that fast tracks the approval of 2,000 new wells per year over the next 10 years in Kern County, a significant oil-producing region.

But, will the companies actually want to develop those wells, wondering when the other shoe in the PRC will drop, having watched the Democrat operate the past 25 years? Particularly since there are still lawsuits from cities and counties in the PRC? Will they take the chance?

Interesting: Trump To Declassify All Documents Related To Amelia Earhart

Ever since Earhart disappeared, there have been lots of theories, ranging from “her plane went down over here” to conspiracy to Conspiracy. A couple easy watching shows on the subject would be Josh Gates’ Expedition Unknown (S1E1) and Histories Greatest Mysteries (Laurence Fishburne is excellent in this series), season 6 episode 5, which delves in everything up to Conspiracies, which has her being a spy and the Japanese having shot her down. Some people thought that was the reality all the way back in 1937. USA Today touched on some of the big theories back in 2017. Is there something, or, just Trump declassifying documents?

Trump Orders Records Related to ‘Aviation Pioneer’ Amelia Earhart to Be Declassified, Released

President Donald Trump ordered his administration on Friday to declassify and release records related to American aviator Amelia Earhart, and her “final trip.”

In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Earhart as being “an Aviation Pioneer” who became the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean by herself. Trump also noted that Earhart had “achieved many other Aviation ‘firsts.’”

Trump continued to note that the disappearance of Earhart “almost 90 years ago” has continued to captivate “millions” of people.

“I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her,” Trump said.

Trump also explained that he had “been asked by many people about the life and time of Earhart and whether he would “consider declassifying and releasing everything about her,” Including the last flight that she made.”

“She was an Aviation Pioneer, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and achieved many other Aviation ‘firsts,’” Trump said in his post. “She disappeared in the South Pacific while trying to become the first woman to fly around the World. Amelia made it almost three quarters around the World before she suddenly, and without notice, vanished, never to be seen again.”

Did she crash near Howland Island? Maybe somewhere else in the ocean? Or something else?

And will Liberals now hate Earhart because Trump mentioned her name and called her an Aviation Pioneer?

Bummer: World Leaders Leaning Back Into Natural Gas

The climate cultists and their Elites have been pushing to end natural gas for quite some time. Banning the use of gas heaters, gas stoves, and anything natural gas. But, now (via Climate Change Dispatch)

(Semafor) Natural gas is making a quiet but highly placed comeback at Climate Week. At a number of events on Tuesday, senior officials made a case for gas as essential for energy security and a buttress to renewables. Anna Bjerde, managing director of operations at the World Bank, told a small group of reporters that the lender is agnostic about which technologies it helps finance to improve access to electricity around Africa. The main focus of that work has been on solar, she said, but “gas has to be discussed and pursued” for providing baseload power. “We should be leaning in to help countries develop gas.”

That view should get a warm reception from the Trump administration, which has reportedly been pressuring the World Bank to unwind its restrictions on financing oil and gas production. And it was a view echoed in a separate briefing at the Rockefeller Foundation offices by Daniel Chapo, president of Mozambique, who said he is working to expand the country’s large hydroelectric dam while also pursuing gas production deals with Western drilling companies, and hopes to use more of that gas for domestic power plants.

In the evening, between glasses of prosecco and mini lobster rolls at a reception in a high-end Times Square hotel, Ditte Juul Jørgensen, director-general for energy at the European Commission, took the podium alongside Toby Rice, CEO of major US gas producer EQT, and lauded the security benefits of LNG. “The energy war in Ukraine has come to redefine our strategy of independence,” she said. “The energy transition will continue to be our path, but we will need gas for many years to come.”

Man, now that is a real shame. I’m guessing many are realizing that all that wind and solar are just not making ends meet, which is making the peasants very unhappy with their energy bills. It also means that more are using wood and wood pellets, and those pellets are often shipped on big, fossil fueled cargo vessels.

Yale students and faculty head to New York for climate summit

Climate Week NYC, a week-long climate gathering that attracts leaders and researchers from around the world, featured several Yale faculty speakers on issues including the U. S. environmental movement, international organizations’ climate obligations and carbon credits.

Several students also traveled to New York City this week for the summit. With more than 900 events total, Climate Week is one of the largest climate summits in the world.

Weirdly, nowhere in the article do they say how these people traveled to NYC from New Haven, Connecticut. You can bet it was in fossil fueled vehicles.

Split screen: Governor Newsom launches new international climate partnerships as Trump unleashes unhinged UN rant

Governor Gavin Newsom spent this week in New York showing the world that California is a stable, reliable partner – a stark contrast to President Trump’s unhinged rant to the United Nations (said the Governor: “what an abomination, what an embarrassment, what a fraud”).

The Governor was in New York for Climate Week, an annual convening of local, state and international leaders that occurs on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Here are the highlights of his trip.

How’d Gavin get to NYC?

Florida Detains Over 6,000 Illegals

It’s a good start

Florida officials announce more than 6,000 immigration arrests

Over the last five months, Florida law enforcement officials have arrested more than 6,000 people suspected of being in the country illegally, a U.S. Border Patrol official announced Friday, as the state continues its aggressive approach to help carry out President Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda.

That total is in comparison to the more than 5,000 arrests carried out over a three-month period in the Los Angeles area, according to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the more than 940 arrests that officials made over one month in a Washington, D.C., operation.

Local and state officers in Florida have been empowered to launch a sweeping immigration enforcement effort to arrest residents who lack legal status, thanks to the Trump administration’s revival of an old federal program that delegates authority to local police, county sheriffs and state agencies. (snip)

On Friday, officials announced that an operation carried out by local, state and federal partners resulted in more than 350 arrests in central Florida over the span of four days. Speaking to reporters at an event in Cocoa, Florida, Jeff Dinise, chief patrol agent of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Miami Sector, said the federal government has “no better partner” than the state of Florida, holding up the state as a national model.

I wonder how many illegals in Florida are getting out and going to sanctuary states like California, which will overburden them?

(Fox News) Florida is receiving a major boost in federal funding as state and federal leaders announced Friday a “historic agreement” with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) through the 287(g) program.

Governor Ron DeSantis joined ICE Deputy Director Madison D. Sheahan and other officials in Tallahassee, Florida, to announce that the state will receive more than $28 million, with an additional $10 million directed to local law enforcement. The funding is part of $1.7 billion being distributed nationwide under President Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” Sheahan said.

More! More!

(UK Guardian) Immigrants with no criminal record are now the largest group in US immigration detention, according to data released by the government. The number of people with no criminal history arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) and detained by the Trump administration has now surpassed the number of those charged with crimes.

Ice, the federal agency most heavily relied upon by Donald Trump to carry out the US president’s mass deportation campaign, released its latest numbers on Thursday.

According to the official data, 16,523 people in immigration detention with no criminal record were arrested by Ice, compared to 15,725 who do have a criminal record and 13,767 with pending criminal charges.

Except, federal law states that anyone in the US without permission is illegally present, for which the penalty is a small fine, potential incarceration, and deportation. They broke the law coming to the US illegally. Too bad the Credentialed Media are activists, not journalists.

LOL: Islamists Abandon St. Greta’s Pro-Hamas Flotilla Because Of LGBT

I wonder if Greta and her ilk have learned a lesson?

From the article

Greta Thunberg’s flotilla bound for Gaza has descended into chaos after pro-Palestine activists quit the convoy when they learnt LGBTQ+ campaigners were on board, it has been claimed.

The 22-year-old Swedish eco-protestor has also reportedly left her leadership role due to disagreements among organisers, but she will stay onboard as a participant volunteer.

On September 1, around 20 vessels displaying Palestinian flags and carrying some 350 pro-Palestinian activists departed from Barcelona. (snip)

Now, political differences have allegedly plagued the leadership of the GSF, with reports that Khaled Boujemaa, the Tunisian coordinator of the convoy, defected after learning about the presence of queer activists on board.

In two video streams posted on social media, he is understood to have complained about the addition of members of the Tunisian LGBTQ+ community to the convoy – activists who joined the flotilla when it stopped at the northern port of Bizerte.

‘We were lied to about the identity of some participants in the vanguard of the flotilla, I accuse the organisers of having hidden this aspect from us,’ he said, according to a translation by Le Courrier de l’Atlas.

The cause of his frustration was allegedly the participation of activist Saif Ayadi on the flotilla, a ‘communist queer militant’ who boarded the convoy when it stopped off in Tunisia.

Others complained, as well, and booked off the ship. Did these 1st world wackos like St. Greta even consider the beliefs of the Palestinian people, ruled over by Hamas and the Palestinian Authority? That LGBT is not a thing in Islam? That Islamists kill LGBT?
