Trump Admin Cancels $2.3 Billion In Funding To Harvard

Harvard rejects Trump demands, gets hit by $2.3 billion funding freeze

Harvard on Monday rejected numerous demands from the Trump administration that it said would cede control of the school to a conservative government that portrays universities as dangerously leftist.

Within hours of Harvard taking its stand, the administration of President Donald Trump announced it was freezing $2.3 billion in federal funding to the school.

The funding freeze comes after the Trump administration said last month it was reviewing $9 billion in federal contracts and grants to Harvard as part of a crackdown on what it says is antisemitism that erupted on college campuses during pro-Palestinian protests in the past 18 months.

On Monday, a Department of Education task force on combating antisemitism accused America’s oldest university of having a “troubling entitlement mindset that is endemic in our nation’s most prestigious universities and colleges – that federal investment does not come with the responsibility to uphold civil rights laws.”

The exchange escalates the high-stakes dispute between the the Trump administration and some of the world’s richest universities that has raised concerns about speech and academic freedoms.

Does Harvard actually want to die on the hill of defending Jew hatred? Apparently so. And the lesson is that private entities shouldn’t be taking large sums of government money if they do not want the government to have a say in their operations.

Harvard President Alan Garber wrote in a public letter on Monday that demands made by the Department of Education last week would allow the federal government “to control the Harvard community” and threaten the school’s “values as a private institution devoted to the pursuit, production, and dissemination of knowledge.”

Of, course, again, those operations are Jew hatred and supporting a US designated terrorist group. Defending students and staff who are calling for killing Jews and Americans. Who are calling to destroy Israel and America. Is that the knowledge Harvard is defending?

And, yeah, the federal government shouldn’t be giving private institutions taxpayer money, but, hey, that’s what happened thanks to Democrats in Congress working with Democrats at schools like Harvard. Kinda backfired, eh?

Here We Go Again: Mother Jones And UK Guardian Complain About The Carbon Footprint Of Dogs

As I noted to Casey Mattox when I ran across his tweet deriding this article, the climate cult came up with this a few years ago, and will trot it out every few because the cult never gives up on an wacko idea. Even one that really doesn’t get the support they think it should, because, who doesn’t love dogs? But, weirdly, the UK Guardian and Mother Jones never complain about all the high ranking poobahs in the cult who have massive carbon footprints

Bad News for Man’s Best Friend: Dogs Are Environmental Villains

Dogs have “extensive and multifarious” environmental impacts, disturbing wildlife, polluting waterways and contributing to carbon emissions, new research has found.

An Australian review of existing studies has argued that “the environmental impact of owned dogs is far greater, more insidious, and more concerning than is generally recognised”.

While the environmental impact of cats is well known, the comparative effect of pet dogs has been poorly acknowledged, the researchers said.

The review, published in the journal Pacific Conservation Biology, highlighted the impacts of the world’s “commonest large carnivore” in killing and disturbing native wildlife, particularly shore birds.

The carbon footprint of pets is also significant. A 2020 study found the dry pet food industry had an environmental footprint of around twice the land area of the UK, with greenhouse gas emissions—56 to 151 Mt CO2— equivalent to the 60th highest-emitting country.

Oh, piss off. You are complaining about this?

But, they, and the researchers, look like they realize they may be going a bit too crazy

“To a certain extent we give a free pass to dogs because they are so important to us… not just as working dogs but also as companions,” he said, pointing to the “huge benefits” dogs had on their owners’ mental and physical health. He also noted that dogs played vital roles in conservation work, such as in wildlife detection.

“Although we’ve pointed out these issues with dogs in natural environments…there is that other balancing side, which is that people will probably go out and really enjoy the environment around them—and perhaps feel more protective about it—because they’re out there walking their dog in it.”

They’re good dogs, Brent.

Bateman also raised sustainable dog food as an option to reduce a pet’s environmental paw print, noting however that “more sustainable dog food tends to cost more than the cheap dog food that we buy which has a higher carbon footprint.”

“If nothing else, pick up your own dog shit,” he said.

Well, there is that. But, the underlying cult belief is that people should stop having dogs, because of the carbon footprints.

Single Wacko Judge Says Trump Can’t End Biden’s CHNV Migrant Program

So, per these moonbat judges one president cannot end an executive order of a previous president. Where was Indira Talwani when Biden was ending tons of Trump EOs?

Judge blocks Trump from revoking legal status for 530,000+ migrants who flew into US via Biden program

A federal judge on Monday blocked the Trump administration from revoking the legal status and work permits of the more than 530,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela who flew into the United States during former President Joe Biden’s time in office.

The migrants came to the U.S. under Biden’s controversial CHNV mass humanitarian parole program.

In her order, Judge Indira Talwani, an Obama appointee, wrote that each migrant needs to have an individualized, case-by-case review.

“The Termination of Parole Processes for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans, 90 Fed. Reg. 13611 (Mar. 25, 2025), is hereby STAYED pending further court order insofar as it revokes, without case-by-case review, the previously granted parole and work authorization issued to noncitizens paroled into the UnitedStates pursuant to parole programs for noncitizens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (the “CHNV parole programs”) prior to the noncitizen’s originally stated parole end date,” she wrote.

Biden created the CHNV program in 2023 via his executive parole authority. The program was launched in 2022 and initially first applied to Venezuelans before it was expanded to additional countries.

So, this wacko expects the Trump admin to individually interview each one? Did the Biden admin do that? Doubtful, otherwise we would not have ended with lots of criminals, including gang members. As I wrote in March

Were they vetted at all? How many are gang members, like all those Tren de Aragua “migrants”? What cBS and so many other outlets forget to mention is that CHNV (Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela) is a humanitarian parole, which are only good for two years. Venezuelans had it since October 2022, so, it already ended. The other three countries since January 2023, so, it also ended for them. It’s time to go. How many of these parolees have integrated themselves into American society, showing their worth, trying to be a part of America and be American? How many are just living off the teet of the American people and demanding everything?

But, yeah, you can bet some Biden or Obama appointed judge will ignore the law and DEMAND that Trump not deport the people who’s parole program ended.

The program is ended for all the groups, per the two year time frame, so, why would each one need to be interviewed? It’s time for them to go home.

Officials with the Department of Homeland Security and the Trump administration said Talwani essentially ruled that Trump can’t use his own executive authority, the same authority Biden used, to revoke the parole that Biden granted.

“It is pure lawless tyranny,” a Trump administration official told Fox News.

How can one single judge tell the Trump admin to not deport people who are in a program that already ended per the terms of Biden’s program? Perhaps Trump should ship a whole bunch of the criminals and gang members up to Massachusetts and drop them off at the judge’s house. I don’t remember Judge Indira Talwani demanding Biden stop giving people student loan relief, which was against the law.

Trump should straight appeal to the Supreme Court, and, if they take their time, ship the migrants home, because the program is ended.

ACLU Suing Trump To Keep Illegal Alien Gang Members In The U.S.

Donald Trump Hit by New Migrant Deportation Lawsuit

Dresident Donald Trump is facing another lawsuit over his invocation of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 (AEA) to deport alleged Venezuelan gang members.

An emergency motion filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on Saturday requests a temporary restraining order on the deportation of migrants from Colorado, as well as 30 days’ notice of any intent to remove them.

The lawsuit states that the individuals are at imminent risk of being removed from the United States under the law, which was originally designed to remove foreign nationals deemed threats to national security.

It adds that the individuals are at risk of being sent to places such as El Salvador, where they face “life-threatening conditions, persecution, and torture.”

They are more worried about illegal alien gang members having issues in El Salvador than American citizens being terrorized by the gang members.

Trump has pledged to deport millions of undocumented immigrants as part of his aggressive immigration policy. However, critics argue that these efforts could result in the wrongful deportation of individuals, denying them proper due process or a fair opportunity to defend themselves.

This issue came to a head last month when the government deported over 200 Venezuelan nationals, who the U.S. accused of having connections to the violent Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.

They were sent to El Salvador’s Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo (CECOT)—a maximum-security facility widely condemned by human rights groups for its harsh conditions and mass incarceration practices. CECOT, often referred to as El Salvador’s “super prison,” has become a symbol of President Nayib Bukele’s tough-on-crime crackdown and is infamous for holding thousands of alleged gang members in overcrowded, high-surveillance conditions.

Seriously, is the hill that the ACLU wants to die on? Protecting TDA members?

The ACLU’s emergency motion seeks to prevent the deportations and demands that the government provides at least 30 days’ notice to individuals facing removal, ensuring they have adequate time to contest.

Is that what actual federal law requires? How about the AEA? It doesn’t? Huh.

That was just abuse of the feeble minded.

Bernie Sanders Issues Stark Warning About Trump at Coachella

Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent (who always votes Democrat) serving Vermont, made an unexpected appearance at the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif., on Saturday evening. He offered a stark warning about President Donald Trump during a rousing on-stage speech.

Sanders’ surprise address included calls for the younger generation to “stand up” against the fossil fuel industry, insurance companies, and U.S. states that are looking to roll back abortion rights.

Upon his first mention of the “President of the United States,” the crowd started to boo—a reaction which prompted Sanders to say: “I agree.”

“[Trump] thinks that climate change is a hoax. He’s dangerously wrong,” Sanders warned. “And you and I are going to have to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and tell them to stop destroying this planet.”

So, you get around 125,000 attending every day of Coachella, and they all take some sort of fossil fueled travel. You have all the celebs, who take private fossil fueled flights. You have all the performers who have to move all their equipment by fossil fueled trucks, along with all the stages and everything else. Plus all the fast fashion clothes and energy used? Oh, and Bernie taking a long, fossil fueled flight to complain about ‘climate change’? Brother, please. He initially flew into LA to speak at another rally with AOC, who also took a long, fossil fueled flight.

Anyhow, that’s not all Comrade Bernie had to say to the crowd

“This country faces some very difficult challenges, and the future of what happens to America is dependent upon your generation,” Sanders opened his speech saying, appealing to the younger members of the crowd. “Now you can turn away and ignore what goes on, but if you do that, you do so at your own peril. We need you to stand up and fight for justice, to fight for economic justice, social justice, and racial justice.”

Sanders went on to ask that the crowd “stand up and fight for women’s rights,” and work for economic justice and equality.

“We have an economy today that is working very well for the billionaire class, but not for working families,” Sanders said. Ending on healthcare, he called for the audience “to stand up to the insurance companies and the drug companies and understand that healthcare is a human right.”

This would be a crowd that does spend a minimum of at least $600 a ticket. Plus accommodation, food, and, more, with the experience costing $2,500 to $7,000 per person. These are not poor people having economic issues. These are mostly entitled Democrats who live comfortably.

Despite earning much applause of his own, Sanders was on stage to introduce singer-songwriter Clairo—born Claire Cottrill—who he praised on account of her own activism.

“I’m here because Clairo has used her prominence to fight for women’s rights, to try to end the terrible, brutal war in Gaza, where thousands of women and children are being killed,” Sanders said.

A crowd that mostly takes the side of Hamas, not Israel and Jews.

Sigh: Woke Pope Uses First US TV Interview To Whine About Skeptics

Pope Francis uses first US TV interview to slam climate change deniers

Pope Francis spoke out against climate change deniers, calling them ‘fools’ in his first ever interview on American television.

The often ‘progressive’ pontiff spoke with CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell at the Vatican this week to give his thoughts on violence in Ukraine and Gaza and other important subjects.

However, he made a pointed effort to express his displeasure with those who deny climate change when asked what he says to those who deny it by O’Donnell.

‘There are people who are foolish, and even foolish if they show you them research. they don’t believe it,’ he said through an interpreter.

‘They don’t understand the situation or because of their interest, but climate change exists,’ he added.

I missed the part where he slammed O’Donnell for taking a long, fossil fueled flight to do the interview instead of doing it through Zoom or something. Or saying that he would stop taking fossil fueled flights. And make the Vatican carbon neutral.

The wild part is, while talking about the climate scam, Ukraine, and Gaza (does he understand that the hardcore Islamists would like to erase Christianity, and have tried many times?), he doesn’t actually talk that much about Jesus, the Bible, being Catholic. And why he’s blowing of the 10 Commandments about things like having no other Gods before God.

Washington Post Seems Surprised About What Trump Wants From The World

They think they have a big scoop with a front page story. But, hey, it’s a good reminder for Republicans. And an eye opener for the Trump Deranged

What President Trump’s team wants from the rest of the world

More natural gas purchases from American firms. Fewer tariffs on U.S. exports. Lower taxes on Silicon Valley tech giants. Pledges to stop China from using other nations to ship its products to the United States.

These are just some of the demands the Trump administration is expected to make in negotiations with dozens of countries that are trying to avoid steep levies that were briefly put in place last week before being abruptly delayed. While substantial confusion remains about what precisely the White House will want, a clearer picture of what these bilateral deals could look like is beginning to emerge, according to interviews with more than a dozen people involved in or briefed on the talks, some of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect private deliberations.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump suddenly paused large-scale tariffs that were scheduled to go into effect on more than 70 nations, a move he partially attributed to alarming fluctuations in the bond market. The president said the tariffs would remain suspended for 90 days to give his advisers and their foreign counterparts time to reach individual agreements — a process he said had already begun with Vietnam, Japan, South Korea and Israel, among other countries. (Trump has left in place a 10 percent tariff on virtually all imports to the United States, while escalating tariffs on China to more than 100 percent as the pause on other countries remains in effect.)

White House officials have expressed optimism that deals could be reached in the next few weeks.

There’s really no confusion as to what Trump wants, and the first paragraphs was correct. What he’s doing is meant to keep other countries off balance, never being fully straight forward. Because that’s what they often do in the business world. The ends are easy. The means are what are causing heartache in countries. And Liberal news rooms.

But substantial fuzziness remains about exactly what these deals could look like, in part because of uncertainty about the president’s objectives. Even some of Trump’s advisers privately acknowledge that they lack clarity about the goals, two of the people said.

Part of it is seeing what the other countries will offer. How far they are willing to go. How far Trump and his people can push them.

And, maybe the American news media could support America winning economically even though Orange Man Bad is in office.
