Far Left Islamist Jayapal Attempted To Circumvent Cuba Oil Embargo

Is this a violation of the Logan Act?

Woke ‘Squad’ member appears to confess to undermining Trump embargo on Cuba

Far-left Democratic Rep. Pramila Jayapal of Washington state has admitted to undermining the embargo against Cuba, which some interpreted as a serious criminal violation.

The Trump administration has forbidden oil tanker shipments to the Communist-ruled island after the daring military arrest of Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro in early January.

Jayapal admitted that she attempted to orchestrate oil shipments despite the embargo while on a congressional delegation to Cuba.

“As many of you know, I traveled to Cuba as part of a congressional delegation last month,” she said during remarks in Seattle recently. “It is part of my role to see how U.S. foreign policy is actually affecting the people in the countries where that policy is being implemented.”

It’s strange, because she also works to end the use of fossil fuels here in the United States for U.S. citizens

Some suggested she was violating the Logan Act, a 1799 restriction against U.S. citizens negotiating with foreign countries that are in conflict with the U.S.

Former federal prosecutor Andrew McCarthy said that prosecuting Jayapal under the Logan Act was unlikely and that she should face political accountability instead.

“There has never been a conviction under it — in fact, there have only been two indictments, the last one about 174 years ago,” he told Fox News Digital.

How about treason, working with and attempting to aid an enemy nation? Not that anything will come of this, because Democrats hate the United States and love nations like Cuba, so no way she gets impeached and booted or even voted out in her extreme left Washington district, which has a lot of very, very active Islamists.

Pollution And ‘Climate Change’ Driving Down Water Quality In Boston Rivers

Why are the liberals in Boston so filthy? Why are they polluting the rivers?

Pollution, climate change drives down water quality in Boston’s three major rivers

Despite steady improvement in water quality in recent years, increased rainfall and outdated infrastructure are hindering efforts to clean up the Mystic, Neponset and Charles Rivers, a coalition of watershed groups said Wednesday.

The watershed associations representing Boston’s three major rivers released their annual water quality report cards, with grades for all three declining into the B’s and C’s over the course of 2025.

“These grades make it clear that progress has stalled,” said Emily Norton, executive director of Charles River Watershed Association. “To achieve a truly clean, healthy, and swimmable Charles, we need to make the necessary investments in reducing stormwater runoff and ending sewage discharges.”

Well, hey, if they weren’t spending billions on illegal aliens and fake asylum seekers, along with all the graft and waste elsewhere in the budget, they’d have money to fix the infrastructure, right? Of course, the same enviroweenies protest when something is done.

While the organizations’ leaders acknowledged that steps are being taken to improve water quality, they pointed to aging infrastructure, including combined sewer systems, as impeding progress.

The effects of climate change, including increased rainfall and longer droughts are also impacting progress.

“When we talk about climate change, we often think about rising seas or an event that floods a river system,” said State Rep. David Rogers, who attended the release of the ratings. “But we also must think about the urban infrastructure that was built years ago and frankly perhaps not with the changes we’re experiencing in mind when they were first built.”

Oh my God, it rains? When did that happen? That’s so weird. Perhaps if they didn’t pave everything over and have poor and outdated methods to move the rainwater away it wouldn’t be a problem. Hey, maybe if all the Boston residents stopped driving fossil fueled vehicles they could stop this. And maybe if they’d stop dragging the scam into everything people could focus on the real problems.

LOL: Colorado Passes Bill Allowing Residents To Sue Federal Immigration Agents

Well, good luck enforcing this, Champs!

Colorado legislature passes bill to allow lawsuits against ICE agents, other immigration officers

The state legislature passed a bill Thursday that would, if signed into law by Gov. Jared Polis, allow Colorado residents to sue federal immigration officers in state court over alleged constitutional rights violations.

Supporters say the measure, Senate Bill 26-005, would fill a gap in the law that largely does not include a pathway for challenging conduct by federal officials, including immigration authorities like U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE.

“We’re creating a circumstance where, if ICE is violating your constitutional rights by unlawfully searching you, seizing you, by conducting their jobs in a way where it looks more like police brutality than actual policing, that you have a cause of action to stand up for yourself in court,” bill sponsor state Rep. Javier Mabrey, D-Denver, said.

Lawsuits brought against immigration agents under the measure would have to be filed within two years of the alleged constitutional violation. The measure would take effect immediately, pending the governor’s signature.

So, what will happen will be a bunch of frivolous, nuisance lawsuits filed, especially by illegal aliens, for which nothing will happen because state law does not supplant federal law. We all know Polis will sign it, and then the DOJ will file a lawsuit within a week. And, Polis and the Democrats who passed this on party lines know this. This is what they are really looking to accomplish

But the bill was written to include state and local officials as well as federal ones. In response, local governments, law enforcement, district attorneys and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, who is also running for governor, opposed the bill, saying it would open up state and local officials to a rash of lawsuits.

They want to make sure state, county, and local law enforcement do not work with federal immigration agents under threat of essentially having qualified immunity (which Polis and the elected officials and tons of bureaucrats have) removed so they can be sued. Seriously, why not just hand over the serious criminals who are illegal aliens? Why this unhinged need to protect them?

Study Suggests Skin Cancer On The Rise From ‘Climate Change’

If only you had given up your fossil fueled vehicles and your freedom to government we could have solved this

Skin cancer is on the rise. Could climate change be to blame?

Skin cancer cases in the United States more than tripled from 1975 to 2021, despite technological advances in sunscreens and public awareness of the risks of sun exposure. In Canada, melanoma — the deadliest form of skin cancer — increased by 17% in 2024 alone.

How can this be?

It’s likely caused by a combination of factors, but some studies suggest that the increasing temperatures due to climate change and intensifying ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure resulting from air pollution could be contributing to the problem.

“Suggest.” So, they don’t know. They’re just making sh*t up in order to scaremonger. And get more funding, of course.

“The ozone layer acts as a broad-brimmed hat for the Earth,” explains Eva Rawlings Parker, MD, an assistant professor of dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, who specializes in climate change-related skin diseases. “It blocks UV radiation, and it’s been degraded by chlorofluorocarbons. The manufacturing [of these compounds] is restricted now, but they’re very long-lived and act as potent greenhouse gases. What we’re now seeing are synergistic effects of three environmental impacts: increased UV, air pollution, and heat.”

But, the ozone layer has gotten much better since the Montreal Protocol, so, maybe it is something else? Thing is, they do not really know, beyond knowing that UV radiation is a main cause. Heat? There are no studies that specifically say “yes, that makes it worse” beyond people being outside more. And a 1.7F increase in global temperatures since 1850 is no big deal. Perhaps in the liberal urban areas with artificially inflated temperatures, ie, UHI? Yes, some air pollution. Maybe we should focus on real things

The popularity of indoor tanning has also taken a toll. Women under age 30 who use tanning beds are six times more likely to develop melanoma than those who don’t, notes the AAD.

And the kiddies, particularly young women, are using tanning beds a lot in order to look good for their social media, even though they tend to use way too much makeup which covers that tan.

Did The LA City Council Just Ban All Traffic Stops?

This is what’s going around

It’s not that cut and dry, but, still stupid. Here’s the LA Times, obviously leftist and against the stops…until an employee is hurt because a pretextual stop didn’t happen and they say “why didn’t someone do something!”

Push to limit traffic stops passes City Council — but LAPD policy not changing yet

unintended consequencesThe Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday voted in favor of new restrictions on so-called “pretextual” traffic stops, signaling a growing impatience with the Police Commission’s failure to rein in a controversial LAPD tactic that critics say enables racial discrimination.

The vote was largely symbolic. It requests that the department’s all-civilian watchdog adopt new guidelines similar to San Francisco, which bars police officers from pulling people over for broken taillights and other minor equipment violations unless there is a safety threat.

If the new policy were adopted, LAPD officers would be prohibited from stopping motorists, bicyclists or pedestrians for minor violations “except in cases where the violation poses a significant and imminent safety risk.”

The unanimous vote followed sometimes emotional testimony at a City Council meeting from Angelenos about how their lives had been shaken by discriminatory traffic stops and searches.

Several speakers pointed to a growing body of research showing that minor stops disproportionately affect Black and brown motorists and do little to combat violent crime while eroding public trust. In recent years, there have been several high-profile traffic stops that resulted in officers or drivers being killed.

Um, if someone’s being pulled over for a minor infraction and a cop or driver is getting killed it rather substantiates that the driver, or someone in the car, was a very bad person.

The current LAPD policy, in place since 2022, requires officers to record themselves on their body-worn cameras stating the reasons for suspecting a more serious crime had occurred when making a stop for a minor infraction.

And Democrats now hate the use of body cams by police, because they expose bad behavior while exonerating officers.

[Police Commission and Chief Jim] McDonnell has publicly defended the stops as an essential law enforcement tool in the department’s fight against guns, gangs and drugs. He and some transportation safety advocates have argued that persistent traffic deaths — road fatalities have in recent years outpaced the number of homicides — indicate the city needs to crack down harder on reckless driving.

He surely knows a bit more than the Wokester LA City Council members.

(KTLA) According to a report released earlier this year by the Los Angeles Chief Legislative Analyst’s Office, LAPD officers conducted more than 72,000 pretextual stops between April 2022 and September 2025.

The report found roughly 30% of those stops led to evidence of another offense, including drugs or weapons.

Most cops do not have time to harass citizens these days. This is not the 60s and 70s where they harass blacks. They 99% of the time know what they’re doing when they do a pretextual stop. Los Angeles is down 1,000 cops from it’s target of 9,500. Overtime pay is about $1 billion a year because of this, and cops often do not have time to do pretextual stops unless they truly think something is going on

San Francisco, which has banned pretextual, is short 500 cops of their 2,074 staffing level. They do not have time. So, they ignore lots of bad road behavior

But the same report also showed that people perceived to be Black or Latino accounted for approximately 86% of all pretextual stops during that period.

For Liquan Hunt, whose father is an LAPD officer, the issue is deeply personal.

“Forty stops, two tickets,” Hunt told KTLA’s Lindsey Peña. “You’re getting pulled over for something else.”

Yeah, well, maybe there were reasons. And he was probably let off the most because your father is a cop and with warnings because something was wrong with his vehicle and/or the way he was driving. And, perhaps there are reasons blacks and Latinos are having this happen so much. How many Latinos are illegals and involved with gangs or not know how to drive well? How many times because since BLM blacks often seem to think that traffic rules do not apply to them? Admit it, you’ve seen this. But, you know, every experiment needs an experimental group, so, let’s see what happens if the Police Commission adopts this rule.

Pretextual stops are for things like expired tags, things hanging from rearview mirror (yes, that is an offense in most states), rear plate not visible (visible plates are required, you know), rear tail and brake lights not working (they signal intention when driving in a vehicle weighing several tons, right?), and failure to signal (signaling intention to pedestrians, bikers, and other motorists, you know), among others. Cops pretty much would no longer bother pulling over for this offenses for any reason, as has happened in San Francisco, which banned pretextual stops. Many times drivers would simply get a warning, now that behavior is ignored, making the roads more dangerous. And known gang members and smugglers know they can do what they want, just don’t do bigger violations.

PRC Labor Unions Protest Over Climate And Affordability

Have they considered that things are so bad in the People’s Republik Of California because the unions support and vote for Democrats?

California labor unions rally at Capitol over affordability, climate issues

climate cowA coalition of labor unions rallied at the State Capitol on Wednesday, calling on lawmakers to address what they described as a growing affordability and climate crisis affecting workers across California.

The California Labor for Climate Jobs Coalition said rising living costs, workplace safety concerns, and staffing shortages in key state agencies are putting pressure on workers statewide.

Union leaders said a package of proposed bills could help address those concerns while preparing California’s workforce for the impacts of climate change.

“The world is in a climate crisis, and workers are suffering because of that,” said Jacquelin Tkac, president of UAW Local 1115.

What do they really want? Well, a lot more workers who will be part of the unions, giving them more money and power. Huh.

“The big ask is a set agenda of bills that really support working people in affordability, in safety, and in workers’ rights, especially in the context of climate change and the way that that’s massively restructuring our economy,” said Julia Sebastian with the California Labor for Climate Jobs Coalition.

Two of the bills focus on refinery safety and supporting refinery workers during refinery closures in California, according to the coalition.

“That also links to affordability and the gas prices that we’re seeing right now, ways that we can really make sure that we keep gas prices lower rather than spiking, and also safe safety in refinery workplaces and surrounding communities,” Sebastian said.

Have they considered that their support of Democrats and climate scam legislation has made California gas so f’ing expensive? Sigh.

Meanwhile

Oklahoma Governor Mandates Immigration Checks On Welfare Recipients

This is obviously causing a lot of barking from the moonbats

Gov. Stitt acts on pending immigration bills as lawmakers squabble over ending legislative session

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stit issued an executive order Wednesday mandating immigration enforcement checks of federal welfare applicants. The move comes amid legislative Republican infighting, as lawmakers eye the end of session.

Senate Pro Temp Lonnie Paxton, R-Tuttle, unofficially ended the legislative session for his chamber early, saying senators’ work is largely done.

Still left incomplete: a pair of bills by House Speaker Kyle Hilbert, R-Bristow, requiring state agencies to check for the immigration status of federal welfare applicants and report those in the country without permission to immigration authorities.

That left Hilbert frustrated and confused, because just the day before both chambers agreed to end next week.

Republicans can be their own worst enemies. Can you imagine Democrats not forcing through a bill that does the opposite of Stitt’s order?

The ultimate fate of the bills may not matter. Stitt’s executive order directs “the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) to utilize the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system to verify the legal status of applicants for programs including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Medicaid.”

It’s interesting: if a foreign national has applied for U.S. citizenship and is going through the process here in the U.S. they are barred from taking government programs like welfare, SNAP, Medicaid, and more. They have to prove they can pay for their own lives throughout the process. But, if you are an illegal, (fake) asylum seeker, or visa holder the government seems fine with spending that money, which could have gone to underserved Americans (plus, of course, there’s all the fraud, waste, and graft in these systems).

Alaskan Tsunami No One Heard Of Last Year Was Your Fault

First, though, cult insanity. Sorry about the nudity, but, we’re all adults

Wait till she realizes that being hung by your feet for long periods of time was used to torture people, causing asphyxiation as the organs press on the diaphragm, circulatory failure, Cerebral Hemorrhage, and Rhabdomyolysis. Also, her head, back, and shoulders are really going to hurt

Anyhow

Alaskan megatsunami bigger than Empire State Building triggered by climate change

A tsunami at a popular tourist spot in Alaska was the second highest ever recorded and it was “unbelievably lucky” no one was hurt, researchers have said.

The wave at the Tracy Arm Fjord in the Tongass National Forest was triggered by a rock landslide which was driven by climate change.

Only the timing of the event, 5.30am on 10 August last year, meant no cruise ships or boats were in the area when the tsunami happened – but experts fear next time “we may not be so lucky”.

Scientists said the wave was up to 1,578ft (481m) tall, making it far bigger than The Shard in London and comfortably higher than New York City’s Empire State Building.

Climate change meant the glacier supporting the mountain had retreated amid warming temperatures, eventually leaving the rock unsupported and triggering a landslide.

Well, things warm up during an interglacial period, especially during a warm period during the interglacial. There’s no witchcraft, er, anthropogenic causation, involved.

There were no photographs or footage of the tsunami, so the scientists reconstructed the events using aerial photos taken after, alongside other data.

The researchers determined the tsunami’s height by measuring where the stripping of vegetation had occurred.

It’s a narrow fjord, so, yeah, it could be big. If it happened. There is a photo at the article which shows the aftermath 3 days later.

University College London geophysicist and study co-author Stephen Hicks said: “This collapse triggered a seismic wave observed around the globe.”

And, yet, this is the first time I’ve heard of it, despite the huge amount of climate scam news I view.
