Climate Crisis (scam) Means There Is No “Best Time” To Travel

Would that be a good thing? Not everyone can take vacation at the same time. In Warmist World, though, everything is doom. And this is a new one from the cult

Why ‘best time to visit’ no longer applies

I spent April and May this year travelling across Nepal – prime trekking season and often billed as the “best time to visit”. Almost every online guide promised clear skies and comfortable temperatures. Instead, I found hazy polluted air and low visibility, especially at lower elevations. Early monsoons swept across the country, briefly clearing the smoke but replacing it with downpours I hadn’t prepared for. The gap between expectation and reality was jarring.

This isn’t just a Nepal problem; travel is facing climate-driven disruptions everywhere. Australia recorded its hottest March on record this year, with temperatures 2.41C above the historical average. In Japan, cherry blossoms are blooming earlier than ever. Across the globe, longer summers, shorter winters and erratic “false springs” are now routine.

“The planet’s warming since around 1980 is making heatwaves, droughts and floods more frequent and severe,” says Jonathan Erdman, senior meteorologist at The Weather Company‘s weather.com. “All three of these are most common during summer, when travel peaks.”

But the unpredictability now stretches year-round. “Extremely wet and dry periods can happen any time of year – including shoulder season – if the weather pattern gets stuck for a while,” Erdman adds.

It must be mentally exhausting to constantly look for the worst in everything. Why couldn’t they have been a happy cult? A happy religion, like Buddhism and this new “Happy Science”? Instead, it’s always so miserable and doomy.

That article is here.

Trump To Decide On Whether To Dispatch National Guard In D.C.

The Washington Post seems a bit upset that Trump wants to *checks notes* reduce crime in the nation’s capitol (using the MSN copy, since you can read the whole thing. WP article here.)

FBI dispatching agents to D.C. streets as Trump weighs calling National Guard

The FBI has begun dispatching agents in overnight shifts to help local law enforcement prevent carjackings and violent crime in Washington, according to two people familiar with the matter, as President Donald Trump threatens a federal takeover of the nation’s capital and considers calling up the National Guard.

A decision on calling up the Guard could come as soon as Monday, when Trump plans a news conference at the White House on crime in D.C., according to a U.S. official speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation.

Trump on Sunday compared forthcoming action against D.C. crime to his administration’s aggressive crackdown against illegal immigration at the southern border, saying that he plans to “immediately clear out the city’s homeless population and take swift action against crime.”

“Be prepared! There will be no ‘MR. NICE GUY.’ We want our Capital BACK,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social social media platform.

This is somehow controversial. The city voted 90% for Kamala Harris in 2024: do the Democrats enjoy the high crime rate and homeless all over? You get

So, again, the District Of Columbia is rated a 2 by Neighborhood Scout. That means it is safer than 2% of U.S. cities. Meaning it is high crime. You have a 1 in 95 chance of being a violent crime victim, and the 10.47 (per 1,000) rate is over double the national rate of 4. Assault and robbery are off the chain. Property crime is 1 in 24, with a rate 3 times the national rate. Theft and motor vehicle theft are super high. You can see the map above. The darker the blue the more the crime. Should there be crime around all the historic sites, the White House, the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the Reflecting Pool, the museums?

I’m guessing the police think there’s an issue.

British Climate Nag Wants Brits To Only Eat Burgers Once Every Two Weeks

These wankers just never stop in trying to tell other people how to live their lives, and trying to get government to make it happen

Brits should only eat a burger once every 2 WEEKS to save the planet, climate scientist claims

climate cowWhether you have yours with pickles, extra cheese or covered in sauce, a burger can be one of the most satisfying meals to tuck into.

But people should limit their intake to one every two weeks to help curb climate change, according to an expert.

Paul Behrens, a British Academy Global Professor at the University of Oxford, claims Brits must cut down on their meat and dairy intake to help save the planet.

He argued that long–term climate change could make it impossible to grow food in a third of current production areas.

‘A shift to plant–rich diets in the UK would free an area almost the size of Scotland,’ he wrote on The Conversation.

Bugger off, wanker.

Consistent stress on the food system could even cause collapse, according to some experts, prompting civil unrest and riots.

‘This trajectory of climate–driven food price hikes – leading to social unrest and political decay – is not inevitable,’ Professor Behrens added.

‘The scientific consensus shows that the biggest opportunity we have for reducing food’s environmental impacts across many countries is increasing the amount of plants we eat and reducing meat and dairy intake.’

Once consensus is mentioned it’s no longer science.

Good News: Border Wall Material Sold By Biden Might Be Coming Back

Obviously, passing a new law (that would have codified large numbers coming across the border) was not necessary

Trump border wall materials sold by Biden may soon find their way back to the feds, auctioneer claims

The global government-surplus auction house that listed unused components of President Donald Trump’s border wall under the Biden administration told Fox News Digital on Friday that it plans to coordinate with the Trump administration to return some of the materials to the federal government.

In January 2021, President Joe Biden set in motion the chain of events that would eventually lead to the sale of unconstructed border wall components and implements.

“Like every nation, the United States has a right and a duty to secure its borders and protect its people against threats. But building a massive wall that spans the entire southern border is not a serious policy solution,” Biden said in an executive order halting construction.

Until Friday, the ultimate fate of the unused border wall materials – originally estimated to be worth between $260 million and $350 million – remained largely unclear. A contentious court battle in Texas last December resulted in a 30-day freeze on the auctions, but little has publicly transpired since.

In a statement to Fox News Digital, GovPlanet – an auction clearinghouse for public-sector and government surplus – announced Friday they have reached a breakthrough deal with the Trump administration.

“GovPlanet has reached an agreement, working with the Office of the Border Czar, to return border wall materials that were previously deemed surplus and sourced by the federal government to GovPlanet via existing contracts,” said the company, a subsidiary of an Illinois-founded, British Columbia-based international operation called Ritchie Brothers Auctioneers-RB Global.

And this means that a 3rd party will take control of the material and start building the wall sometime soon. Hopefully it didn’t cost too much, since the U.S. had already paid for the materials, then Biden sold them for pennies on the dollar.

GovPlanet officials said they were pleased to work with the administration to return the materials “at-cost” to the feds and “protect the millions of dollars that U.S. taxpayers had already invested in this initiative.”

“We are expediting the transfer of these materials to support the administration’s border protection plans. We value our longstanding partnership with the U.S. government and look forward to continuing to support America’s federal agencies.”

They know which side the bread is buttered.

Kenyan Illegal Says He’s Now Safe After Self-Deporting

It’s no wonder NPR has lost their taxpayer funding, since they are pimping a sob story over illegal aliens

‘At least I’m safe’: A Kenyan immigrant opts to leave the U.S. on his own terms

On a recent Thursday afternoon, Samuel Kangethe pushes his 5-year-old daughter on the swings at a leafy park near his home. While she swings, the little girl eyes the nearby playground on top of a small hill.

Nearby, Kangethe’s 13-year-old son is showing his dad a few things about fishing on the Grand River. His 11-year-old daughter plays with her phone, and helps her sister navigate the playground.

“This is how we spend our days,” Kangethe says.

Kangethe is from Kenya, and has been living in Michigan for more than 16 years. He first came here as a student visa-holder. He now has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwood University and a master’s degree in finance from Central Michigan University.

Waaaaa! You overstayed your visa

His immigration case involves a prior marriage that gave him conditional residency. But in 2014, immigration officials deemed that marriage fraudulent. A judge has yet to rule in that case, but since then, Kangethe’s gotten divorced and he remarried in 2018. But today in the eyes of the immigration system, he is deportable.

He has not committed any crimes, but he has also not been able to adjust his legal status.

“I have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of — I don’t want that case,” Kangethe says. “I’m not going to let it put me in shackles for the rest of my life. … I’m not a criminal.”

So he has made a decision.

“I need to take the option of self-deporting myself,” he says.

But, will he? He feels that he’s not safe. Safe like Laken Riley? Like the mom and 11 year old killed in DUI in NJ, despite the illegal having multiple DUIs and a domestic violence arrest?

Latvia is now worried when or if the family will ever get back together. The kids are losing their dad. She’s losing her husband.

“It’s scary. Essentially I’ll be a single mom,” she says. “And to go from a two-person income in the home where we’re able to piggy-back and do the things together like we’ve always done — It’s going to impact the entire family.”

She and the family can go with. And, if he self-deports, he can always re-apply for entry. Seriously, these people put themselves in this position. Also, didn’t the media tell us that no one is exempt from the law?

Bummer: Tenacious Swiss Finance Minister Tried To Stand Up To Trump

See, here’s the problem

And

Tenacious Swiss Leader Stood Up to Trump — It Backfired on Her

Karin Keller-Sutter admires the grit of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and as Swiss president is known as technocratic and tenacious. Those traits look to have backfired when she faced off with Donald Trump and led her country into crisis.

KKS — as she is known in Swiss politics — has had the worst week of her more than three-decade career. It’s even worse than in 2023, when over a frantic weekend she pushed through Credit Suisse’s forced marriage to UBS Group AG to limit the fallout on the country’s prized banking sector.

With Trump levying the highest tariffs in the developed world on Switzerland at 39% — more than double the European Union’s rate — there’s little relief in sight.

After the 61-year-old came home empty-handed from a last-ditch trip to Washington, the Swiss government had few answers after an emergency meeting of the seven-member federal council on Thursday, saying it would continue to seek to secure concessions.

She can admire Thatcher all she wants: she has to be able to back it up.

Similar determination led her to stand up to Trump. It looked like it might pan out, with Swiss negotiators thinking they had a deal in sight, but then came a bumpy call last week.

In what was described as a lecturing tone, she dismissed the notion that Switzerland was stealing from the US and insisted on including services in the discussions. That ran afoul of Trump’s focus on the US deficit in goods from exports such as luxury watches, gold and pharmaceuticals.

Her position was that Switzerland stands by its word and it was better to have no deal than a bad deal. But that didn’t go down well with the White House, and Switzerland didn’t have the leverage of bigger trading partners and put little on the table.

See, she’s never truly worked in the private sector, except briefly as a translator. Say what you want about Trump, he spent most of his life in business, with successes and failures. He knows how to negotiate. He knows when he has the advantage. What do the Swiss have? KKS probably thought she could badger and bully and get all big and mighty, and that utterly backfired. Did she think a lecturing tone would work? Should have taken the deal. But, she tried to think like a politician, not a business person. She’s not the only one abroad, and at home, who’ve made this mistake.
