NEW YORK, March 18 (Reuters) – Donald Trump has so far been unable to obtain a bond that would allow him to appeal a $454 million judgment against the former U.S. president in a New York civil fraud case without posting the full amount himself, his lawyers said on Monday.

Trump must either find the cash or post a bond to prevent the state’s authorities from seizing his properties while he appeals Justice Arthur Engoron’s Feb. 16 decision ordering him and co-defendants to pay $464 million in penalties and interest for misstating property values to dupe lenders and insurers.

A bonding company would be on the hook for any payout if Trump loses his appeal and proves unable to pay.

So insurers have little confidence in Mr Trump paying them back? New York may seize Trump properties to cover the bond. They could keep the buildings as state properties or sell them.

Teach falsely claims: Tyson Foods firing Americans and hiring illegals

The blog post Mr Teach contained nothing other than an accusation.

    Responded Tyson:

“In recent days, there has been a lot of misinformation in the media about our company, and we feel compelled to set the record straight. Tyson Foods is strongly opposed to illegal immigration, and we led the way in participating in the two major government programs to help employers combat unlawful employment, E-Verify and the Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers (IMAGE) program,” the statement reads.

It continues: “Since being founded in 1935 in Arkansas, Tyson Foods has created jobs and employed millions of people in states all across America. Today, Tyson Foods employs 120,000 team members in the U.S., all of whom are required to be legally authorized to work in this country. We have a history of strong hiring practices, and anybody who is legally able is welcome to apply to open job listings.”

Unlike many European democratic socialist nations, companies in the US can close plants, fire and hire workers based on business needs. Sometimes markets shift resulting in product sales changes. Sometimes physical plants and equipment becomes obsolete.

Is it a problem having a US President a BILLION in debt?

Maybe MM Putin, Orban, Mohammed bin Salman and/or Netanyahu can “loan” him the money, “no strings attached”. It should be easy to take a BILLION out of the BILLIONs we give to Israel and funnel it back to Big Don.

The late Mitch Hedberg: You know when they have a fishing show on TV? They catch the fish and then let it go. They don’t want to eat the fish, they just want to make it late for something.
