Brandon Admin Arrests Journalist For Reporting On J6

Have we hit banana republic status yet? If Biden wants to give Trump and Republicans ammunition, this is large caliber

From The Blaze

Baker — who for years has been searching for the truth about Jan. 6, 2021, and believes the U.S. government has been targeting him for it — on Friday was charged with four misdemeanors related to his Jan. 6 coverage at the U.S. Capitol after turning himself in to the FBI in Dallas.

The charges are:

  • Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority
  • Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds
  • Disorderly conduct in a capitol building
  • Parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a capitol building

BlazeTV contributor Jill Savage noted Friday that she exited the courtroom with Baker, who “was able to wear his dress clothes but had shackles on his wrists and ankles. He is expected to be released today. His next hearing is set in DC for March 14th.”

When does the FBI arrest all those NY Times reporters who admit they entered the Capitol on J6?

We are WAY past the ‘banana republic’ stage.

  3. Dana says:

It’s simple: Stephen Baker wasn’t saying, “Oh, this is horrible,” but supported the aims of the Capitol kerfufflers.

Mr Baker has a media platform, and thus, by his arrest, even if released on bail, his bail can be revoked and him thrown in jail if he says the Wrong Things.

  4. H says:

    The outrage !!
He was in the Capital Jan 6 simply reporting
On how the mostly peaceful tourists were visiting as was their right.
He will get his day in court. Like all people accused of any crime he is presumed innocent and was given bail.

  5. H says:

    But but
Didn’t we hear from Trump himself that the media was the enemy of the people? Didn’t he erge Coney to arrest journalists that leaked the paper saying they were going to reverse Roe v Wade?
Didn’t Trump’s DOJ seize the phones of 3 nyt reporters?

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

If the media insists upon censoring trump and trump supporters then they are the enemy of the people. If the media refuses to put trump on the news then they are the enemy of the people. If the media operates as a disinformation arm of the Democrat party and completely ignores every other opinion they are the enemy of the people. If the media works hand in hand with the government to try and get president trump thrown off the ballot for the next election they are interfering with democracy and they are the enemy of the people.

You have become exactly what you hated the most!

The media covers every bizarre statement that Big Don emits. He’s on TV ten times more than Biden.

        Big Donnie dominates the media!!

Putin arrested another journalist…so glad it couldn’t happen here..

  7. Elwood P. Dowd says:

Counter to Baker’s claims and arguments, an FBI affidavit for his arrest explained that his charges were largely the result of him entering the Capitol building during the riot and his use of “loud, threatening, or abusive language” therein. The reporter allegedly entered the building though a broken door and joined in with a crowd of rioters outside the barricaded doors of the House chamber. After remaining in the building for 37 minutes, during which time he allegedly “antagonized” officers, he was led out by police.

Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building or Ground,
Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building,
Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building

Many of the Jan 6 rioters have been charged similarly.

from his resume we find he’s been a journalist for 8 months. He entered our Capitol as a “rioter” (he even admitted the objective of delaying the certification) but 2 years later became a “journalist”! Did the FBI investigation trigger him to become a “journalist”, LOL?

Some examples of his neutral Jan 6 investigative journalism:

“They got Pelosi’s office and, you know, it couldn’t happen to a better deserving bitch!”

“The only thing I regret is that I didn’t, like, steal their computers because God knows what I could’ve found on their computers if I’d done that.”

“Do I approve of what happened today? I approve 100%.”

    • Brother John says:

As usual, you’re completely full of shit.

You’re an idiot if you have a problem with that quote about Pelosi.

And at least in this case, you FINALLY FUCKING ADMIT that the DELAY of the cerification — not an “insurrection,” not “overturning the result,” a fucking DELAY, to ensure the results were trustworthy — was the objective.

      QED, asshole.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Blojob,

You keep making the astute observations and irrefutable arguments.

If the insurrectionists had killed VP Pence like they and the prez wanted, Mr Trump might still by our dicktater!

To ensure the results were trustworthy, LOL. That’s a good one. Trump and his band of horseshit lawyers were not at all interested in ensuring the results. You CANNOT be the stupid. Can you?

        Eat shit, asshole!!

        • Brother John says:

You admitted it, shithead. You knew what the purpose of that protest was the entire time, and as usual, you’re just lying.

You admitted it. You know it.

Just another political prosecution from this incurably corrupted and fraudulently installed “administration.”

          QED.

    • Dana says:

In which Mr Dowd echoes the government’s bias:

Some examples of his neutral Jan 6 investigative journalism:

In other words, the government was perfectly fine with others who said, “Oh, this is so terrible!” being there, reporting on events, but when another person, also reporting on it, said that he supported it, he’s a criminal.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Mr Dana neglected to note the actual crimes Mr Baker was charged with committing. He wasn’t charged with calling Speaker Pelosi a bitch.
