An elementary school in a Washington D.C. suburb in Maryland is reinstating school masks for third-graders, after a handful of kids recently tested positive for COVID-19.
In a now-viral X post, OutKick founder Clay Travis posted a letter that was allegedly sent to all parents at Rosemary Hills Elementary School in Montgomery County, updating them on updated mask requirements for all students.
“A DC area elementary school — Montgomery County, Maryland — is reinstating a mask mandate — N95’s — for third-graders over a few kids testing positive for COVID,” Travis wrote on X. “Here’s the letter. They’re coming with masks for your kids again. Get ready. Read this insanity.”

(RochesterFirst) New York State is sending masks and COVID-19 rapid tests to school districts that request them for the start of the 2023-24 school year.
According to a release sent by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s office Tuesday, the state will conduct an outreach survey this week to determine which districts and organizations need masks and test kits. The supplies will then be delivered to the districts for distribution.
Well, they won’t help in the areas where lots of illegals/migrants were sent, since so few have been vaccinated against most things.

“He is not experiencing any symptoms,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at her daily White House briefing, noting that the first couple had last been together on Monday.
“As far as the steps that he’s taking since the president was with the first lady yesterday — he will be masking while indoors and around people in alignment with CDC guidance,” she said.

So much for “following the science”. The Science clearly shows that masks have zero efficacy for reducing the spread of COVID and all other germs and carry a higher risk of bacterial infections on the respiratory system. And children have a near zero chance of any harmful consequence of getting COVID, even if they do get it.

CarolAnn – We agree on many things but the number of Covid deaths is not one of them. The way that “Cause of Death” – COD- is determined is simple. If the patient had a disease that was being successfully treated, say diabetes, and then caught Covid and died the COD is Covid. Diabetes would be listed as a contributory cause. There’s nothing new in this and it’s not related to just Covid.
The argument regarding masks has become entangled in claims, counter claims, “studies,” etc. But the best, and largest, study is that the Asian countries, Japan is one, that have historically worn masks in crowded conditions have a deaths per million rate of around 800. We are in the 3500 range.
So yes, masks help just as social distancing, improved personal hygiene etc. does. But they shouldn’t be mandated, especially on children.
The Feds did terrible job trying to entice everyone to take the vaccines mostly because they thought we were too dumb to understand the positives and negatives. Once they started lies by omission it just cascaded. Plus, it is in their genes to want control.

Numerous other illnesses that actually caused death in patients were labeled COVID simply because of positive test without evidence of clinical disease.
Mask do absolutely nothing in a viral infection.
The purpose of the masks is to reduce the amount of COVID viruses emitted from an infected person by trapping some on the mask. Think of dust trapped on a window screen.
Could a mask reduce infection by blocking viruses entering into the body of an uninfected person?
Maybe, maybe not. Would depend on the health of the person, amount of virus entering, room temp, etc., etc. If that is your reason for wearing a mask then it’s a waste.
What disease a patient has via diagnosis is straightforward.
Let’s say the patient was diagnosed, incorrectly in a clinic or doctor’s office and then sent to a hospital’s ER.
The admitting doctor will list all the symptoms, in writing, and have a complete blood work up to determine more about the patient’s health. As this point the blood tests will show negative re Covid.
All of this is recorded in the patient’s record and is known by the lab tech, the multiple doctors who examine, prescribe drugs/treatments, and the nurses who administer the doctor’s RX and treatments.
The reported case numbers will have shown the initial count but the final one will not.
