Ultra TDS: Guy Who Wasn’t Even In Office Blamed For Biden’s Disastrous Afghanistan Withdrawal

This really is insane. Biden spent 7 months from day 1 attempting to erase everything Trump did. Are they saying that the Biden regime couldn’t adjust the plan?

Biden review of chaotic Afghan withdrawal blames Trump

President Joe Biden’s administration on Thursday laid the blame on his predecessor, President Donald Trump, for the deadly and chaotic 2021 withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan that brought about some of the darkest moments of Biden’s presidency.

The White House publicly released a 12-page summary of the results of the so-called “ hotwash ” of U.S. policies around the ending of the nation’s longest war, taking little responsibility for its own actions and asserting that Biden was “severely constrained” by Trump’s decisions.

It does acknowledge that the evacuation of Americans and allies from Afghanistan should have started sooner, but blames the delays on the Afghan government and military, and on U.S. military and intelligence community assessments.

The brief document was drafted by the National Security Council, rather than by an independent entity, with input from Biden himself. The administration said detailed reviews conducted by the State Department and the Pentagon, which the White House said would be transmitted privately to Congress on Thursday, were highly classified and would not be released publicly.

“President Biden’s choices for how to execute a withdrawal from Afghanistan were severely constrained by conditions created by his predecessor,” the White House summary states, noting that when Biden entered office, “the Taliban were in the strongest military position that they had been in since 2001, controlling or contesting nearly half of the country.”

Sure thing, chumps. Quite a few of the military and intelligence and diplomatic folks that were there when the plan was being formulated under Trump were still there when Biden took office. Heck, a lot were surely there when Obama was president. And even Bush 43. It’s like they think Trump sat there and came up with the entire plan on his own. He most likely had little to do with it other than saying “get me a plan.” The big question here is “who was president in 2021?”  Who green lit the plan into operation in August 2021? Who fucked up the plan? Who forgot to evacuate people in a timely manner? Who screwed up the security? Who ended operations way too early at Bagram Air Base?

Teach himself was a super cheerleader for to he decades of stupidity there.
Teach when did you first realize that the Afghan ear ess unwinnable? Was occupation doomed from the start like the lefties said?
    Quagmire?
Was only the end a disaster?

    • alanstorm says:

…and H manages to deflect and avoid yet again! Can everyone see my “shocked!” face?

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

H, when are you going to stop cheerleading for the biden debacle in Ukraine? Decades? Or only till nuclear war breaks out?

When will you realize that a nuclear war is unwinnable? Since when are leftists for war or are you anti war only when a Republican is in office?

So far 250,000+ Ukrainians dead and at least 40,000 Russians. When will the murdering left be happy?

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Americans haven’t murdered Ukrainians, the Russians have. The Ukrainians war will end when Russia leaves!

We’re shocked that the American right feel/believe that Ukrainians should give in to Russian rule.

A rare example of 100% pure Used Food. Coming from the Brandon (mis)administration, I suppose I shouldn’t be shocked.

Still whining about the successful evacuation from Afghanistan?

Thirteen courageous Americans (11 Marines, 1 Army, 1 Navy) died during that evacuation at the hands of a suicide bomber.

Last week 1,773 Americans died from Covid. 134 Americans/day died by gunshot in 2021.

To be fair, Afghanistan was always going to be a disaster no matter who was president. It was baked into the cake. The only way to keep it afloat was for America to stay there and keep funding the corruption. If there is blame for the failure, and there certainly is, that blame is shared equally by 20 years of DoD generals, CIA executives, State Department executives, and National Security Council people… i.e. the deep state. They are the ones who perpetuated the fraud that Afghanistan was making progress and could eventually stand on its own as a stabile democratic nation. Every general who ever served there , and every colonel who later became a general, all fed the lies and deceit. It is hard to blame any president who was fed a steady diet of lies from people he should have been able to trust.

Among all those Presidents, only Trump had the courage to say Enough.
Further, it was Obama who had the courage to pull the plug in Iraq. (though we put forces back in there only the next year)
And it was Trump who had the courage to pull the plug in Iran, before it even started when the deep state was ready to manufacture a war there.

A strong president is essential to hold back the deep state from doing its worst. Bush did not have that strength. Biden has last stage dementia and is a puppet, at best. And that is why we have a war in Ukraine instead of a diplomatic settlement a year ago. 200K dead Ukrainians are a direct result of American government policy to militarize the Ukraine and overthrow their pro-Russian government.

  5. UnkleC says:

To follow the good Professor, Trump had initiated an orderly withdrawal from Afghanistan, not the panicked retreat that Biden ordered.
We can debate the value of the military operations ad infinitum. I neither supported nor opposed the initial operations, however when they were no longer ‘productive’, an orderly withdrawal was (IMHO) the correct choice. Fleeing in panic while you are essentially in control is the worst scenario. This is what Biden provided.

  6. Professor Hale says:

I susspect what happened was that DoD failed to plan and execute a withdrawal because they were counting on a change of administration to undo trumps order. Then that didnt happen. Then biden administrationed dithered

  7. UnkleC says:

Probably a good assessment. Upper DoD is Deep State/Swamp country and so is the Brandon admin.
