Exclusive: Rep. Chip Roy Introduces Bill to Reinstate, Protect Unvaccinated Troops from Punishment
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) on Friday introduced a bill that would reinstate troops discharged over the Biden administration’s ill-fated military coronavirus vaccine mandate and protect unvaccinated troops, cadets, and midshipmen from punishment, Breitbart News has first learned.
Roy said in a statement:
Thanks to the hard work of many of my Republican colleagues, the Biden administration’s disastrous COVID-19 vaccine mandate was finally ended. But there is more work to be done. Republicans must fight to permanently end these mandates and make whole all the service members harmed by President Biden’s senseless policies. I’ve introduced the Service Restoration Act to do just that.
Roy’s bill, titled the Service Restoration Act, would prohibit any federal funds being used to require a member of the military or a cadet or midshipman at a service academy to receive a vaccine, and would prohibit any “adverse action” against them solely on the basis of not wanting to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
All discharged military members would be reinstated with full pay, their previous rank, and records expunged of adverse reaction. That said, how many will want to come back? Maybe those approaching their 20 years, ones who can come back and retire, but, will a lot of the others want to come back to a military which treated them with such dishonor? To a military that is going completely Woke?
These are the mandatory vaccinations that all service members are required to receive before initial entry or basic training:
Adenovirus
Hepatitis A
Hepatitis B
Influenza
Measles, mumps, rubella
Meningococcal
Poliovirus
Tetanus-Diphtheria
Varicella
And others are mandatory depending on deployment.

And all of the vaccines the distinguished Mr Dowd listed had years and years of the normal medical research and testing behind them, whereas the COVID vaccines were developed with unreasonable haste and no long-term testing. Five-year testing hasn’t been done since the vaccines haven’t been around for five years yet.
But more, the vaccines simply don’t work! Taking the vaccines does not keep you from contracting or spreading the virus, and even the claim that the vaccines make the disease milder if you do contract the virus cannot be proven given that the virus itself has mutated into something which does not cause serious illness in most people.
And now, even the CDC have admitted that there have been an elevated number of cases of strokes statistically linked to the vaccines.
If you listed the COVID vaccines along with the others you mentioned, and were then asked to pick out which of these is not like the others, it would always be the COVID vaccines which were chosen.
Trying to talk truth, logic and the obvious to liars, the stupid and the blind is a fools errand.
Mr Dana doubts both the path to approval and the effectiveness of the Covid vaccines.
The approval WAS based on an accelerated program because of the exigency of the pandemic. We have accumulated safety data in hundreds of thousands of subjects, now for 2 years. Note in drug clinical trials, FDA approval is often granted on trials with a few hundred patients. Some adverse effects (AEs) are only discovered in greater patient distribution (look up Vioxx). At least 75 FDA approved drugs have been withdrawn from marketing based on post-marketing AEs or lab discoveries (carcinogen, degrades to toxin etc). Every new drug you see advertised on TV has only been evaluated for safety in hundreds of patients. We’re all guinea pigs.
It’s not true that the vaccines don’t work. The early clinical trials showed significant protection against transmission, but only for about 4 months.
Real world data clearly shows the vaccines reduce the Covid mortality rate. In the US, the unvaccinated die from Covid at a rate several fold higher than the vaccinated. The current 7 day running average is 750 deaths/day. If the new variants are less lethal it’s not showing up in the mortality data, yet. If that rate doesn’t slow, that’s 273,750 Americans dead from Covid in a year, which would make it 10 times more dangerous than “the flu”. About half have received at least one vaccination and half are unvaccinated. It’s likely fully vaccinated are even more protected from severe disease.
Study after study shows that vaccination cuts the death rate.

For whatever reasons, the MAGAtista have chosen to let fly at these vaccines, dressing their political objectives in “concerns”, much like dressing up Old Dobbin with a hat or putting lipstick on a pig.
These vaccines are more well characterized than Monster energy drinks or the delicious McRib or vaping or Tylenol or hours on TikTok/twitter.
We know, we know… the gubmint isn’t forcing you to eat a McRib, but few Americans were forced by the gubmint to take the vaccine.

When you join the military, your body is no longer yours. If you don’t like that, don’t join.
Vaccinations are not given to protect the individual, but to protect the group from disease contracted by the individual. A unit that cannot perform its duties is worthless.
rMNA research started in the 80’s. It is not new. Plus, enhanced and evaluated testing was done. Prior to its release the Left hated the vaccines because Trump was pushing for them and he couldn’t be allowed to do something good. After Biden stole the election, the vaccine was good. Politics is a silly nasty game played by silly nasty people who want power.
The government and the media did an absolutely terrible job of explaining what the CDC/FDA said in December, 2020. The efficacy, how the vaccines performed in a controlled environment, was around 92% for Moderna and Phizer. Johnson and Johnson was a distant 73% but it was a 1 shot deal, not 2.
That meant how effective the vaccines would be in the outside world could be expected to be less. Somewhere around 10% of the vaccinated people would not be protected.
The secondary benefit of reduced symptoms was initially not touted because it was thought the public would not consider that beneficial enough to take the vaccine.
Early on it was not recognized that the kill zone was the elderly, with their weakened immune system, along with the obese and anyone else with a disease that comprised their immune system. The young and healthy were relatively safe.
The many lies told re side effects, etc., was amplified by the Internet. VAERS, a completely uncontrolled list, further muddled things with short answers on a complex subject.
The result was a complete effiing mess in which people died who shouldn’t have because politics became married to medicine.
The facts are that the vaccines protect around 90% of the vaccinated. When the vaccines weaken they still reduce the symptoms and hospitalizations drop to near zero. Boosters help but their effectiveness is also limited. Plus, viruses mutate. We now have new anti-viral drugs that reduce the symptoms. I know, I just completed treatment using Paxlovid.
With 20/20 hindsight it is apparent that the initial thrust should have been to the elderly, obese and immune comprised with heavy emphasis on personal hygiene, social distancing and wearing masks in crowded areas. The shutdown was never needed except to placate the Left who always claims to do things for “your own good” while giving them control.
Did we learn anything? Maybe.

Although the elderly and infirm were/are most affected, public health concerns dictate that one way to reduce infecting the elderly is to vaccinate those around them too.
Nearly 75,000 Americans under 50 died from Covid. That’s about 7% of all Covid deaths. 1400 kids died from Covid. If even 14 kids had died from the vaccines you’d want Dr Fauci burned at the stake. We know, we know, nuCons consider any data from the CDC to be faked or “adjusted”, just like all gubmint information.
The Dems were not agin the vaccines before they were for them, but they didn’t trust Trump. Who does? Once the clinical trial results were reported Dems were behind the vaccines. It has been conservatives discouraging vaccine usage, at least for others.

The issue is not confidence in Trump. Trump wasn’t the scientists working on the vaccines. The issue is that the Lefties attacked the vaccine before it was released. Thus when they changed their story, they shot their credibility. As I noted Fauci did the same.
I accepted the vaccines based on what the CDC/FDA said. I also discussed them with my doctor, just as I do with all health care treatments.
