Tiny Homes Won’t Save Us From Climate Doom, But Taxes Will Or Something

Tom Nelson likes to tweet a lot that “we can solve this with a tax.” The best type of sarcasm is that which is completely true

Elon Musk’s tiny home won’t help save the world. Paying more taxes would

Elon Musk has an enormous rocket and a tiny house. Last year the multibillionaire (who is the second-richest person in the world) announced that he was going to sell off most of his physical possessions, including multiple mansions, and “will own no house”. He appears to have made good on much of that pledge and is now living in a $50,000, 375-square-foot, prefab home in Texas that he rents from his company SpaceX. (snip)

I’ll give credit where it’s due, Musk’s carbon footprint is low by billionaire standards (which isn’t saying much). Bill Gates, for example, who is trying to turn himself into a thought-leader on the climate crisis, is responsible for far more emissions. Still, it’s more than a little nauseating to watch a billionaire – whose wealth rocketed during a global pandemic – being venerated for living modestly. It’s also bizarre to watch him boasting about not owning property during a housing crisis. Thanks to decades of trickle-up economics, nearly half of American workers don’t earn enough to afford a one-bedroom rental, let alone buy a house. Musk wants us to think he is using his immense, and unconscionable, wealth to save the world. But billionaires like him are a result of the same greed that is helping to accelerate the climate crisis. If Musk really wanted to help the planet perhaps he should think less about his living arrangements and more about his tax arrangements.

See, if rich folks (for Progressives, that means Everyone Else making a paycheck) would just pay more in taxes we could solve the climate crisis (scam). They never really say how, just that we could. Most Warmists refuse to do much of anything in their own lives to reduce their carbon footprints.

Here I thought that the distinguished Mr Musk had a girlfriend, a new daughter, and a bunch of sons from a previous marriage. Maybe he’s trying to dump all of them, ’cause would his 33 year old girlfriend really want to shack up with a 50 year old billionaire if he isn’t going to live like a billionaire?

As for Arwa Mahdawi’s article, all I can say is: jealous much? https://www.thepiratescove.us/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_yahoo.gif

I read this article for what it was: The reality behind the AGW movement.

Consumerism and consumption….Elon Musk sold off most of his possessions B U T:

Musk’s carbon footprint is low by billionaire standards (which isn’t saying much).

Still, it’s more than a little nauseating to watch a billionaire – whose wealth rocketed during a global pandemic – being venerated for living modestly.

I will ignore the TAX part since The OP of this blog already talked about this idea. Now don’t get me wrong I think they should tax all billionaires 100 percent, strip them of their wealth and put them in prison. Except Musk. Of all the Billionaires this is one guy that is actually trying to do something for this planet with his money. Go to the moon and go to mars. Because my friends this fuking planet is doomed as hell and I don’t blame him for wanting to get off this piece of shit place called earth.

However I digress. The OP of this ARTICLE is oozing contempt for consumerism. This is the AGW boner. Hardon. This is the communists nirvana. Less consumption, equality for all the poor little worker bee’s who would rather play video games and toke a joint or skate board than get a job and work on being modestly successful.

Hell Join the fuking Army. I have a Niece who has 5 kids, does not work and her hubby is in the military and makes like 90k per year. They love it. The military provides them a nice place to live, lots of rations, full healthcare and a great salary.

Hell. I have a guy who cuts my lawn, he makes enough money in 6 months to not work 6 months and he owns a house, two new cars and lives very well. He is a white man and middle aged and quit his job about 3 years ago to mow lawns. HE is doing just fine.

The common thread here? Work hard and you will get ahead. But Screw working hard we have to find a way to destroy consumerism, and when we do then it will be the government who can magically print money to take care of all of us.

We saw how that worked in China and the USSR….Why the hell do you think CHINA is now the number one producer and manufacturer of goods? YOU NEED MONEY TO take care of your worker bees. THE USSR never learned that little fact which is why they are defunct. PUTIN however learned that fact which is why RUSSIA is still relevant….OIL…NATURAL GAS….Biden’s letting him build a pipeline to Germany which everyone who is anyone knows it will ultimately end up all through Europe providing Natural gas to warm the homes of the idiots who think AGW is real.

The globe might be warming but it still gets damn cold in the northern hemisphere. Consumerism will stop scream the AGW NAZI’s. IT will. We will make sure of that.

The demofascists predisposition for corruption and favoritism is ubiquitous.

” Lieu made a pair of $25,000 “charitable contributions” in 2017 and 2018 to his alma mater, Stanford University, and wondered if either of his two teenaged sons – one of whom was finishing up his sophomore year of high school – would end up being admitted to the elite school, which was also part of the “Varsity Blues” scandal. Well, guess what? Lieu’s oldest, Brennan, is now part of Stanford University’s Class of 2025, according to his Instagram profile.”

Why do our “leaders” hate us so much?

Once again you rely on screaming “TRUMP” and once again you lie. If you have a valid point you don’t need to lie. I assume since you tried to shift the post once again to “TRUMP” you agree that hypocrite demofascists using their money, power and position to get their privileged kids into Ivy League schools ahead of blacks is okay with you. I guess the only Asians discriminated against on admissions are Republican’s kids.

BTW, you really need to research your blanket statements as they are invariably incorrect. “Our Elites” almost all of whom are demofascists like you got about a 25% tax benefit from the tax cut. I would have to guess that means everybody else divvied up the rest.

Boy, Trump really has infected what little brain you have left after the commie programming. You need to see a psych.

John-your proof of trillion dollar tax cuts for only the elites. And what are elites?
We know you can’t do it but it’s fun nonetheless..

Lawn mowing used to be a job for younger teens 5

    • Kye says:

We see. Sophisticated elites like yourself would never consider lawn mowing or landscaping a respectable job. They are beneath you as a demofascist. You are one conceited mutherfuker. You come off like you’re all-in for the common man and tax cuts then you ridicule and condescend to the working man. What a dick.
