Associated Press Seems Surprised That GOP Isn’t Abandoning Trump Over Impeachment Theater

Despite the news media attempting to spin the hearings yesterday (Anand is Time’s editor in chief)

along with most other days, because yesterday ended up hurting the Democrat Narrative (all he had was his own thoughts), the AP is confused

In wake of impeachment testimony, no signs yet of GOP cracks

Congressional Republicans are showing no overt signs of abandoning their support for President Donald Trump, the latest demonstration of how Democrats’ impeachment inquiry has left the two parties inhabiting different political universes.

Democrats reveled Wednesday over Ambassador Gordon Sondland’s testimony that Trump was requiring a “quid pro quo” — specifically, a public Ukrainian commitment to investigate Democrats in exchange for a Trump Oval Office meeting that their newly elected president badly wanted.

Yet GOP lawmakers minimized Sondland’s appearance, saying his revelations about how Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani had delivered Trump’s demands to diplomats hadn’t changed their minds. Sondland said they later realized that Ukrainian investigations were also Trump’s price for the embattled country to receive U.S. military aid already approved by Congress.

“A meeting, which is a nothing-burger?” Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said of one of Trump’s demands. “The president can meet with whoever he wants to meet with, for a good reason or no reason at all.”

Seriously, a meeting is what it came down to. Nothing else. Why would the GOP start cracking? So far, there’s been nothing but hearsay and inner thoughts. No actual evidence. It’s just kabuki theater

Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., a sophomore lawmaker who won his closely divided Omaha-based district by 2 percentage points last year, said even Sondland’s appearance left him still thinking that Trump hadn’t committed an impeachable offense.

“The key word is he said he presumed, hadn’t heard it firsthand, it’s the same old thing,” Bacon said of Sondland’s testimony. Bacon said impeachment is on voters’ minds but leaves partisans on both sides entrenched in their views about Trump.

There has been nothing offered that would impeachment level, even if we were to believe the random thoughts of people who mostly do not have first hand knowledge of what is just standard politics.

But, hey, the media is doing a wonderful job in avoiding exactly why Joe Biden was included in the list of who and what Trump wanted information on.

….”I WANT NOTHING! I WANT NOTHING! I WANT NO QUID PRO QUO! TELL PRESIDENT ZELENSKY TO DO THE RIGHT THING!” Later, Ambassador Sondland said that I told him, “Good, go tell the truth!” This Witch Hunt must end NOW. So bad for our Country!

Sondland said There was quid pro quo. Everyone knew it, everyone was on board with it and it was out in the open. Transparency. Then when pressed he asked if the president said I want something for the aid.

    NO.

Why do you think there was quid pro quo?

I presumed that if he wanted the president to investigate, that Trump wanted something.

Sorry, with everyone else just offering OPINIONS but with no evidence what so ever about any kind of bribery, Quid Pro Quo and or now they are trying for Obstruction of Justice. Hell Trump is offering them everything they have asked for other than to allow his very closest advisors to testify which was granted to all presidents by the house and senate and CONFIRMED BY THE SUPREME COURT.

The MSM and the left and the right are indeed watching two different versions of the same reality series. This is the problem with America right now. I have stated this before. Its like one tv in the bar but people are watching two different shows because of a time warp continuum or something.

What’s amazing about Trump is that Sondland was a Jeb Bush supporter, switched to Trump then dropped him after the Gold Star family brew hah, hah.

So Sondland was a never-Trumper and here he is without a shred of evidence other than opinion and PRESUMPTION. He was actually turned out to be the GOP’s star witness and I think you could see in Sondlands face a gotcha moment for the democrats especially when Schiff was asking him questions.

That was worth watching. A real gem as you could see Schiff’s head exploding. Theres an old axiom in the courtroom and the debate stage never ask a question if your not sure what answer you will get. Schiff thought he knew what Sondland was gonna say and Sondland through him a knuckleball with his answer.

Sondland over the last few years has begrudgingly become a Trump Supporter along with nearly all the rest of the Never-Trumpers except perhaps all those ex butt hurt Bush staffers and McCain staffers who now have gigs on liberal shows bashing Trump. But I guess they have to eat somehow.

1 So far, the “”testimony has vindicated Trump.

2 The best poll right now is ratings and nobody cares enough to watch.

Hold the vote, if you want. You’re screwed as far as ’20 is concerned.

  4. Doom and Gloom says:

God this is boring stuff. There are some deep state stuff coming out today with some unclassified Emails which can easily be time-stamped to whatever time they choose, saying why is the aid being withheld?

Since every fuking 3 letter agency on the planet is out to get Trump to remove him so they can go back to their swamp and corruption there is little chance the GOP can prove he is innocent.

Trump will be impeached. The deep state will then move on 20 GOP senators with threats and extortion and probably threatening them with being tied to Jeffery Epstein to get them to vote for removing Trump.

I’ve said before. I think Trump goes down, no matter the evidence. So Pence will not run and we will once again have Ryan/Romney running for president. This is exactly why Romney ran for the senate in a state he would win in and why Ryan quit to get the ground work in place for replacing trump/pence.

There was a serious reason why Epstein was murdered. The two guards on duty have been indicted. Most likely they too will end up dead. Epstein catered to a select group which no doubt will include a certain subset of GOP senators.

Kiss Trump’s ass goodbye folks, you can’t fight the KGB which used to live and work in Russia but now actually runs the country in the USA.

See the Las Vegas shooter investigation disappearing into the woodwork with the guys girlfriend who would have gone down so hard yet they hardly even talked to her. CIA all over it along with outside help.

Our country no longer belongs to WE THE PEOPLE.

    BREAKING!!!!

Head of Burisma Holdings Linked to Hunter Biden Is Indicted in Ukraine – THEN GOES MISSING

    Tass.com:

The Ukrainian Office of the Prosecutor General has drawn up an indictment against the owner of the Burisma Holdings energy company, ex-Ecology Minister Nikolai Zlochevsky, that contains information that the son of former US Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter, as a Burisma board member along with his partners received $16.5 million for their services, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada MP from the ruling Servant of the People party Alexander Dubinsky told a press conference on Wednesday, citing the investigation’s materials. According to him, the money came from duplicitous criminal activity.

According to the politician, “the son of Vice-President Joe Biden was receiving payment for his services, with money raised through criminal means and money laundering.” He also clarified that “Biden received money that did not come from the company’s successful operation but rather from money stolen from citizens.”

Dubinsky stressed that the information on Hunter Biden’s income under his contract with Burisma is a “link that reveals how money is siphoned [from Ukraine].“
