House Democrats Pass “Equality Act” Or Something

This has the lunatic SJW Democrat base and #NeverTrumpers excited

House passes bill to extend civil rights to LGBTQ community

The Equality Act passed the U.S. House on Friday, with eight Republicans breaking rank to vote with Democratic colleagues for legislation supporters say will add needed federal protections in housing, employment and health care to millions of LGBTQ Americans.

However, the legislation is not expected to be brought up for a vote in the Senate, where Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, has referred to the upper chamber as a graveyard for progressive measures.

No Democrats voted against the measure, though three Democratic presidential candidates — Reps. Eric Swalwell, Tim Ryan and Seth Moulton — did not cast votes for or against the bill.

The bill bolsters the list of protected classes under the seminal 1964 Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Act, as well as other civil rights laws, to include for “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.” It’s the last class, however, that has drawn the most ire for what critics call its open-endedness.

It’s no surprise Democrats are enthused, as it is a wet dream of their social justice warrioring, but, the Never Trumpers should be ashamed of themselves. They say they support civil protections, but, really, it’s just their Trump Derangement Syndrome that leads to their support of this, just like so many are coming out against many of the anti-abortion laws being passed by Republican legislatures. Their talking points look and sound just like you’d get from Media Matters, Vox, NY Times, and the lunatic elected Democrats. And they haven’t considered what they Equality Act would do for their so-called “libertarian” beliefs (a lot of NT’s are now claiming to be libertarians now instead of Conservatives because TDS). Monica Burke wrote this back in March

Here we go

7 Reasons Why the Equality Act Is Anything But

Most Americans don’t want a nationwide bathroom requirement, health care mandate, or “preferred pronoun” law based on gender identity, but congressional Democrats seem to think it’s time to impose them.

Nancy Pelosi delivered Wednesday on her promise to introduce the so-called Equality Act, which would elevate sexual orientation and gender identity to protected classes in federal anti-discrimination law.

Although that may sound nice in theory, in practice sexual orientation and gender identity policies at the state and local level have caused profound harms to Americans from all walks of life.

How might a sexual orientation and gender identity law on the federal level, as introduced in the House and Senate, affect you and your community? Here are seven ways:

I won’t steal all her thunder, you should read this in full, but, it includes things like

  1. It would penalize Americans who don’t affirm new sexual norms or gender ideology.
  2. It would compel speech.
  3. It could shut down charities.
  4. It would allow more biological males to defeat girls in sports.
  5. It could be used to coerce medical professionals.
  6. It could lead to more parents losing custody of their children.
  7. It would enable sexual assault.

Read the material under each bullet point.

The Equality Act defies the purpose of anti-discrimination laws. The original Civil Rights Act was enacted to protect African-Americans from being denied access to material goods and services.

The Equality Act, by contrast, would be used as a sword to attack people and force them to adopt new ideologies about human sexuality.

It’s not about equality, it’s about taking protections away from some people. This is the kind of crap we get from Never Trumpers

Other NTs are doing similar things in attempting to protect abortion and taking freedom away from citizens in the name of “equality.”

I met this 32-year old gay dude last night and he was such a narcissistic fruit that my first thought was “I could never hire this dude for any serious, professional position”. He would never put the job first. His “look at my gayness” act and his gay clothes and jewelry and his gay haircut will always come first. It’s no different than not hiring a woman that acts like a slutty kitten and dresses like a hooker to be my HR director. Its not appropriate. This kind of legislation would make it a crime not to hire him, even though the reason for not hiring him is that he’s an immature narcissistic flake that lacks self-awareness and cannot put other’s needs before his own craving for emotional validation. Because that could be packaged by an attorney as “acts really gay” when he sues you. So that would be another reason not to hire him. I’ve seen it many times. When someone gives off a vibe that they put their identity group first, the chance that they will sue their employer goes way, way up. You get sued enough times, you realize its not because they are a feminist, a gay, a black, a fat person, paraplegic, a hypochondriac, etc., its because they have psychological issues. And it wouldn’t matter that I’ve gladly hired gays before, based on their individual talents and self-awareness, and helped them with healthcare hurdles and partner issues. In my experience I can help someone ten times with their high-maintenance issues at work, and they’ll still sue you at the drop of a hat if they feel slighted on the eleventh issue.

They should cancel all anti-discrimination laws and start with a clean slate. Just treat all people fairly and equally.

“And it wouldn’t matter that I’ve gladly hired gays before…”

Exactly. Trump has hired plenty of women, but he is still a sexist, now that he beat Hillary. He has hired plenty of Blacks and was given an award by Al Sharpton, but is still a racist, not that he ran against Hillary. And he appointed an openly gay ambassador to Germany, but still is called Homophobic. Your actual history will do nothing to inoculate you from lawsuits if some activist wants to take what you have.

from the Washington (Wingnut) Times: “The bill bolsters the list of protected classes under the seminal 1964 Civil Rights Act and Fair Housing Act, as well as other civil rights laws, to include for “sexual orientation” and “gender identity.””

What’s your gripe? The list of made-up issues from the Heritage Foundation – all of which occurred WITHOUT the protections?

Is discrimination against other humans really a “religious” belief? Based on their “sacred” text, Christians have claimed that Blacks are inferior. (In 1964 my friends and I were chastised by the principal of our public school for defending Black classmates against another student who proclaimed publicly that Blacks were meant to be slaves. The principal agreed with her that this was in the bible. We walked out.)

All the right has left is discrimination (and victimhood).

First, you should be nicer to the Times, since many of its feature writers are diehard NeverTrumpers.

Second, this hands the women’s vote to Trump. All those guys claiming gender discrimination so they can compete against women get an incredible advantage, acing real women out of women’s sports.

Is discrimination against other humans really a “religious” belief?

Only if you were a Mormon, and even they had to give it up.

In 1964 my friends and I were chastised by the principal of our public school for defending Black classmates against another student who proclaimed publicly that Blacks were meant to be slaves. The principal agreed with her that this was in the bible. We walked out.

    First, prove it.

Second, the Sons of Ham thing wasd only used by Mormons.

Third, I doubt you ever had any friends.

    Finally, the word is Bible.

All the right has left is discrimination (and victimhood).

    No, that’s the Left.

  4. Kye says:

First of all Elwood, there is no sacred text in which Christians claim blacks are inferior. Quote the text. Second, your anecdote about your principal back 55 years ago may be as rusty as your knowledge on Christian texts, but let’s just say your recollection is accurate. How does the opinion of that principal 55 years ago translate into “All the right has left is discrimination (and victimhood)” today in 2019? Talk about painting an entire group with a broad brush! You even do it over decades.

I’d also like to point out that what you and your fellow travelers on the extreme radical insane left call “discrimination” we moderates (since all that exists now are extreme leftists and everybody else) call Freedom of Choice, Freedom of Association and Freedom of Movement. We don’t take kindly to other people telling Free men who we have to hire and why, with whom we must coexist and with whom we must associate and work. I figure you’re adult enough to make those choices for yourself and would appreciate if you’d grant others the same rights. Even when you disagree with them. And even if it hurts your feelings.

Ya know, I hate the Mohammadan cult and communist philosophy because they both design ruin on our country, our culture, our people and our future, but it seems to me hate Christians because they created all those things the others want to destroy.
