Coded Language Denies The Existence Of Racism or Something

If all you think about is race, pretty soon everything is raaaaacist

The use of coded language to deny the existence of racism

In an article entitled “The Heartbeat of Racism is Denial,” author Ibrahim X. Kendi listed the common phrases used to disguise racism in America. He called this a new vocabulary, “allowing users to evade admissions of racism.”

The words and phrases Kendi identified are frequently used by politicians, the press and public figures. They have seeped into America’s vernacular, and most people do not understand their implications. Think of the meaning of each phrase he identifies:

  • Law and order
  • War on drugs
  • Model minority
  • Reverse discrimination
  • Race-neutral
  • Welfare queen
  • Handout
  • Tough on crime
  • Personal responsibility
  • Black-on-black crime
  • Achievement gap
  • No excuses
  • Race card
  • Colorblind
  • Post-racial
  • Illegal immigrant
  • Obamacare
  • War on cops
  • Blue Lives Matter
  • All Lives Matter
  • Entitlements
  • Voter fraud
  • Economic anxiety

Got that? These are all dog whistle coded language blah blah blah racist words and phrases. My favorite personal responsibility.

We must carefully listen to the language being used to describe our present condition and its causes. We need to understand and reject the code.

And this is exactly why black on black crime is so bad in this country, because people playing the race card (whoops!) refuse to acknowledge problems. Seriously, these people deemed the use of the word Chicago as raaaaacist. How can one even have a serious conversation conversation?

Just when one thinks the left can’t say anything dumber…they up their game. Would love to hear the explanation of how “all lives matter” could be racist, as the phrase includes…….all lives.

  2. Dana says:

But that’s just it: these are expressions of the (supposed) American culture we expected integration to deliver to all our citizens.

Let me be brutally frank here: white support for integration was based on the notion that once part of the main society, colored people Negroes Afro-Americans blacks African-Americans people of color (hope I’m on the proper acceptable permutation now) would all ‘assimilate’ and start behaving like people of paleness. The goal was to make us a homogeneous nation of white people, with some white people simply being more melanin-blessed.

The notion that people of color would not ‘assimilate,’ but cluster in their own densely-populated neighborhoods and eschew more economically profitable behavior as ‘acting white’ never occurred to the good-hearted liberals who designed forced busing and Affirmative Action.

Every one of those phrases is connected with mainline societal behavior. And now we are being told, obliquely, that expecting socially-acceptable behavior from persons of color is racist.

Remember, if you can hear the dog whistle, you’re the dog.

  4. Straight out of 1984 (the novel). Change the language and you deny the rebellious the ability to even think about rebellion. Make words taboo and you can win every argument because any counter argument becomes literally “unthinkable”.

  5. Ralph Carbone says:

Anyone who cares about being called a racist today is an idiot. Stop feeding the mob.

  6. Jeffery says:

Like anyone doesn’t understand that American Conservatism’s primary objective is to conserve white privilege. Big deal.

Why do Blacks do as well as whites in objectively rewarded endeavors such as sports and entertainment (once they were allowed by whites to participate)?

  7. david7134 says:

Why do you always tell us what conservatives say and do when it is obvious that you are lying and have no concept about what others think and do. You are a terrible racist and hate just about everyone, even those you think you are helping. As to the difference between whites and blacks, read The Bell Curve.

Yep, have read it. May even still have it in my bookcase. Have you read the Mismeasure of Man? It discusses the folly of equating “intelligence” to a single value that can be rank ordered. My IQ ranks in the top 5% of Americans tested, but you don’t consider me very smart do you?

Do you think Asians are genetically more intelligent than Caucasians who are genetically more intelligent than African-Americans?

  8. david7134 says:

Yes Asians are smart, you are not and I am still laughing at that lie.

  9. Drowningpuppies says:

My IQ ranks in the top 5% of Americans tested, but you don’t consider me very smart do you?

Yet the nignorant angry little black fella persists in misusing such words as propensity and agnostic, doesn’t understand percentages, has no grasp of history (at one time he claimed Reagan invaded Panama) and lies about volunteering for the U.S. Army.

    Yep, you am smart.
