Warmists Provide A Handy Dandy Map Of Where The Cult Of Climastrology Rules

You now know which states to avoid, as their policies will increase you energy costs and cost of living

From the screed

After sweating through the second straight year that earned the title of hottest year on record, new research from the Center for American Progress Action Fund finds that 24 governors and attorneys general publicly deny the reality of climate change. It also gives a comprehensive summary of their records and public views on climate change and energy issues. The 21 governors publicly confirmed as climate deniers is an increase from previous years.

The public is way ahead of these state lawmakers — a recent poll found that 76 percent of Americans said they believed global climate change is occurring, including 59 percent of Republicans.

Of course, the problem is that the question doesn’t really encompass the reason behind it. I believe that it is happening. But, as I’ve noted time and again, the debate is not about warming, it is about causation.

What defined a denier? The researchers classified any lawmaker who has questioned or denied the scientific consensus behind human-caused climate change, individuals who answered climate questions with the “I’m not a scientist” dodge, those who claimed the climate is always changing, and individuals who questioned the extent to which human beings contribute to global climate change, as deniers.

How dare anyone question science!!!!! That’s not the way Science works, right? No one has ever challenged any scientific assertions, and they never ever should. Anyone who does should be locked in a tower or called a heretic and threatened with being burned at the stake.

LOL. Deniers do not question the science of global warming, they attack the science as a tactic since they oppose the efforts necessary to mitigate global warming.

For Deniers, it’s a political argument, not a scientific one. There is no scientific argument over whether human-generated CO2 is causing the Earth to warm.

The argument is a political over what, if anything to do. Why are Deniers ashamed to admit their political ambitions? It’s a legitimate political argument and worth having.

Ask the 80,000 climate refugees from Fort McMurray, Alberta Canada what they think?

Haven’t had time to look but let me guess those are our poker red states mostly?

    Sorry driving
Woukd those be our poorer red states? The less educated ones that mostly deny climate change?Teach what do you think is causing it ?????

While we always appreciate your comments, don’t drive and text!

Maybe, just maybe, those would be the poorer states where working people can’t afford the “solutions” advocated by the elites! Worrying about what might happen in a hundred years tends to take a back seat to being able to pay the rent this month.

And I’ll be moving from Pennsylvania to Kentucky in two or three years. 🙂

Such a dishonest article at Think Progress. “You’re either for us, or you’re against us”, is their approach to ‘science’. Which is proof that this isn’t about science, because to use that approach it has to be political ideology or a religion.

J-“There is no scientific argument…. ” Good one, J. There’s always argument, especially in a science where so little is known. The first argument, of course, is why are temperatures adjusted to cool the past so as to warm the present? It’s hilarious that J would proclaim “no argument” as this is the ten year anniversary of Gore’s Inconvenient Truth, which inconveniently for him turned out to be spectacularly wrong. “Ask the 80,000 climate refugees from Ft. McMurray what they think?” Why ask them? The questions is what do the crystal ball-gazers think? So, what do you think?

  7. jl says:

“No argument..” Why yes, that’s why Big Climate has to resort to desperate trumped-up racketeering charges against those who have not yet been made to believe. (Steyn)

Of course its political. That is why the left is attempting to legislate, regulate and litigate cliamate change deniers.

Their smoke and mirrors approach has not worked so now it is death by a 1000 paper cuts to the evil deniers who would dare challenged the Science is settled argument.

  9. Jeffery says:

Of course, it’s political. There is not scientific argument. CO2 is causing the Earth to warm.

The political argument is what, if anything, to do about it.

In olden times (before 2008), the Republican Party understood that global warming was a serious issue, and had even suggested a market-based approach for slowing CO2 emissions. Their approach was called carbon cap and trade, and was more nuanced than the blunt force Dems-favored approach, a direct carbon tax. But in 2008 the GOP underwent the Great Unawakening, a coup where radical anti-intellectuals took over. The rest, as they say, is mob rule history.

  10. Jeffery says:

    j,

There is no scientific argument about whether CO2 is causing the Earth to rapidly warm.

Just as there is no scientific argument about whether gravity is real (although there is still argument about the nature of the force!). How DOES gravity work??

McMurray, Alberta? Record warmth, high winds, record 300+ square mile out of control wildfire, 88,000 climate refugees evacuated. One way to adjust to global warming will be to build huge, mobile national firefighting forces. See? No carbon tax. We just adjust to our changing world.
