Cult Of Climastrology Attempts To Take Scalp Of French Weatherman For Dissent

Remember when dissent was patriotic? Dissent against the State approved doctrine of Anthropogenic Climate Change (ACC)? Well, if they can’t get you on RICO charges (or throw you in jail, hang you, stab you with an icicle, etc), they’ll just attempt to get you fired

(UK Telegraph) Every night, France’s chief weatherman has told the nation how much wind, sun or rain they can expect the following day.

Now Philippe Verdier, a household name for his nightly forecasts on France 2, has been taken off air after a more controversial announcement – criticising the world’s top climate change experts.

Mr Verdier claims in the book Climat Investigation (Climate Investigation) that leading climatologists and political leaders have “taken the world hostage” with misleading data.

In a promotional video, Mr Verdier said: “Every night I address five million French people to talk to you about the wind, the clouds and the sun. And yet there is something important, very important that I haven’t been able to tell you, because it’s neither the time nor the place to do so.”

He added: “We are hostage to a planetary scandal over climate change – a war machine whose aim is to keep us in fear.”

And just to prove how correct he is….

His outspoken views led France 2 to take him off the air starting this Monday. “I received a letter telling me not to come. I’m in shock,” he told RTL radio. “This is a direct extension of what I say in my book, namely that any contrary views must be eliminated.”

Definitely, read the rest of the article, but I’ll leave you with this

The book was criticised by French newspaper Le Monde as full of “errors”. “The models used to predict the average rise in temperatures on the surface of the globe have proved to be rather reliable, with the gap between observations and predictions quite small,” it countered.

Those would be the same models that have been shown to be mostly wrong time and time again.

  2. Jeffery says:

Organizations typically control their employees. If an employee exhibits behaviors harmful to the organization don’t you find it reasonable that the org would act? Clearly the network was embarrassed by the ignorance exhibited by their weatherman.

Likewise, a station with a health reporter supporting the myth that vaccines cause autism, would be compelled to act. An economics reporter who stated that tax cuts increase tax revenues would be reprimanded (except on FOX).

  3. gitarcarver says:

    Organizations typically control their employees.

In your dreams Jeffery. At least in this country employees have rights at the workplace and away from the workplace.

For the most part, here in the US what is said by an employee who is not speaking in an official capacity of the employer or using the employer to add weight or gravitas to the employee’s statement is protected speech.

If an employee exhibits behaviors harmful to the organization don’t you find it reasonable that the org would act?

    A dissenting opinion is embarrassing?

An economics reporter who stated that tax cuts increase tax revenues would be reprimanded (except on FOX).

    Uh huh, Sure

Once again the dishonest, discredited and odious Jeffery shows his ignorance and lack of truth in his moral being..

  4. Jeffery says:

Oh guttercrawler, you poor, sad, pathetic, and now desperate little thing.

So an employee who’s fired for behaviors deemed injurious to a company’s reputation can do what? Be reinstated by the courts for violations of his freedom of speech? That’s ignorant, even by your standards.

  5. Jeffery says:

    guttercrawler,

I checked your link on taxes. Oh my god; I should have known better. The author couldn’t pass middle school civics. TOTAL tax revenues (NOT as a proportion of GDP or per capita; NOT even corrected for inflation) have increased over time. Let’s play his game for just a moment. Tax cuts cause the population to increase! Tax cuts cause the temperature to increase! Tax cuts cause us to lose manufacturing jobs!

Did you not understand the article was crap or did you know it was crap and linked anyway?

Was this the best supporting evidence you could find?(Since the premise is untrue and moronic, it SHOULD be difficult to find evidence – since there is none.)

  6. drowningpuppies says:

Still waiting for the evidence that Reagan invaded Panama.

  7. John says:

French people have not been bombed by the 100s of millions spent to deny AGW as have Americans
One of Teach’s fav sources is the Heartland Institute. They were THE major opponent of anti smoking laws
Going so far as to proclaim ” Joe Camel is innocent”
That cartoon character taught kids smoking was cool in the mid 80s
Teach how much does your personal drug use effect your politics and postings

  8. John says:

France 2 is a public TV station
I would be quite surprised if that weather head ( he is not a trained meteorologist) did not have a contract that allowed termination for cause
    Guitar carver
    France is not the USA

  9. John says:

But it is sort of refreshing to see the radical right standing up for a guy who just married
    His husband

  10. Hank_M says:

    From the linked article…

“He said he decided to write the book in June 2014 when Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister, summoned the country’s main weather presenters and urged them to mention “climate chaos” in their forecasts.”

Sounds like ABC World New Tonight which always, always refers to EXTREME weather.

  11. jl says:

So a guy does something in his profession that is the equivalent of him saying it’s not going to rain when the other weather channels predict it will rain. Dissent will not be tolerated during The Climate Inquisition. Jeffery-you were talking the other day about “manhood”. Well, theses little storm troopers have none, as they are terrified of someone contradicting them. What a bunch of pussies.

  12. gitarcarver says:

    Jeffery,

So an employee who’s fired for behaviors deemed injurious to a company’s reputation can do what? Be reinstated by the courts for violations of his freedom of speech? That’s ignorant, even by your standards.

Courts have ruled that the conduct must be made by a person speaking as a representative of a company or the conduct must be illegal. It is pretty stupid and ridiculous on your part to think that dissension itself is somehow a reason for person losing their job. Is it really your belief that a company can control all of the actions of an employee outside of work? THAT would be true ignorance on your part.

Tell me Jeffery….you once said that you didn’t want your actions here on this board to be known within your company. It that because you know you are an embarrassment to the company or that you lack the guts to stand up for what you really believe in your dishonest, discredited and odious world?

I checked your link on taxes. Oh my god; I should have known better. The author couldn’t pass middle school civics.

I am sorry the linked article was above your second grade level of understanding.

Just out of curiosity, your state has a program that grants tax breaks and credits to companies that mover there. Is it your opinion that despite studies showing the increase in revenues and other benefits, those programs should be stopped?

    Oh, and there is this

  13. gitarcarver says:

    john,

France 2 is a public TV station

No, France 2 is a STATE OWNED TV station. Please try and learn the meanings of words before you banter them around.

I would be quite surprised if that weather head ( he is not a trained meteorologist) did not have a contract that allowed termination for cause

I would be surprised as well. Is it therefore your contention that disagreement with the government is “cause?”

Are you so shallow and stupid that you think that a person has to toe the governmental line in all they do? Are you, like Jeffery, saying that a person is owned by their employer? (That would not surprise me as you support the party of slavery.)

    France is not the USA

And it took you how long to figure that out, john? Maybe France is next to the Starbucks in Selma you famously claimed existed?

No matter. France also has a “freedom of speech” clause in their Constitution:

The free communication of thoughts and of opinions is the most precious rights of man: any citizen thus may speak, write, print freely, save [if it is necessary] to respond to the abuse of this liberty, in the cases determined by the law.

Are you for or against government controlling speech and ideas as happened with Philippe Verdier, john? Whatever happened to the leftist cry of “dissent is patriotic?” Is that no longer true in your world?

It is always amusing to see trolls such as john make ridiculous statements that show their absolute ignorance.
