Warmist: “We Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet” Regarding Cold And Snow

Yet another cultist tells us that all this cold and snow is because you, dear reader, drove a fossil fueled vehicle. Here’s Ann McFeathers

Climate change is all around

Don’t read this if you are among the few who have not been affected by this winter’s wild and wicked weather. You wouldn’t understand.

I am in my kitchen surrounded by pots and pans collecting water from leaks from the relatively new roof I recently paid off. The water is a disgusting shade of brown, of course, and can’t even be used for any good purpose.

But I am extremely grateful the roof itself has not caved in as so many have done in the Northeast.

I can’t drive my car to the grocery store because after I painstakingly dug it out of the snow, the county snowplow finally showed up and pushed the snow from the entire street in front of my carport. AAA cheerfully agrees it may be May before I drive that baby again.

One would think that this might actually give a Warmist pause in thinking about what the causes of the current warm period are. Nope.

Once again, I am mystified by climate change deniers, most of whom are rich or are paid vast sums to serve in Congress or are running for president. Some of them are so incredibly dense they say such things as, duh, there can’t be global warming when it’s so cold outside. Thus they tout their complete ignorance that climate change means more extreme weather patterns and long-term changes that will devastate huge populations.

Interesting. I’m not rich, nor am I paid vast sums to serve in Congress or run for president. In fact, most Skeptics are simply average folks who refuse to buy the line that Mankind is mostly/solely responsible for the current warm period. Some skeptics even hold the view that Mankind is responsible for 51%+ of the current warming. However, they also do not think it reason for scream doom and gloom, pass restrictive laws, rules, and regulations which artificially raise our cost of living and give government more power over our lives. Many understand that a warm period is much better for human development than a cool one. Anyhow, here we go

Climate change doesn’t just mean we’re seeing record warm temperatures year after year. It also means breadbaskets will become arid deserts, coastal towns will flood, tornadoes and hurricanes and tsunamis will become more intense and dangerous.

Interesting. Tornadoes and hurricanes have neither become more intense, nor widespread. Tsunamis? Seriously? The weather mostly has nothing to do with tsunamis. And, of course, the obvious inference, based on the opening paragraphs, is that “climate change” is causing snow and cold

This ongoing winter has been brutal, but as we shovel, mop and repair, a nagging thought occurs: We ain’t seen nuthin yet.

Nothing says “cult!” like blaming brutal snow and cold on heat trapping gases.

BTW, here’s global warming

(CBS Boston) ..a photographer on Nantucket found something most of us have never seen – nearly frozen waves.

Jonathan Nimerfroh was walking along a beach on the island recently when he saw these waves rolling in like slush.

The waves were semi-frozen because there was so much ice inside them.

I blame you for using heat in your big McMansion.

Well, you’re close to describing me on that: I don’t know if climate change is real, nor would I know if it was real that human activity would have any particular percentage responsibility for it.

But I do know that the solutions proposed by the warmists are solutions which would make attack capitalism, the only economic system we have ever seen which has raised more than a tiny minority above the subsistence level, and which would make the average person poorer. I would rather see mankind adapt to any changes which do occur — something humans do very well, given that we thrive in the Arctic wastes, steaming rain forests and bone-dry deserts — over time that impoverish people today over something that might never occur, or might not be preventable anyway.

Nor do I see any evidence that the warmist leaders take their theories seriously. They jet all around the world, and live in monstrous energy-consuming palaces, whilst telling the commoners that they must cut back. Well, fornicate that!

Although climate truthers stress the extreme cold in the east they seem to ignore the record heat temps that most of the country is having

  3. John says:

Dana a bit mystified here you seem to suggest that the very rich are now trying to destroy capitalism that increases in fuel mileage in new cars is taking away your freedoms ?
That Walmart Coke GM and other giant companies are in cahoots to destroy capitalism?
That the largest FIRE ( financial insurance real estate)
    Compam
Niels ALL of whom recognize the dangers both near and far term of climate change are now all under the influence of rabid socialists?
That the Pentagon als has been taken over?
Dana great claims demand great evidence you show none

And yet your entire post is based upon nothing that Dana said or implied.

You make great claims without any supporting evidence.

    Troll.

What a horrible, nasty person. She sounds like Lenin demonizing an imaginary kulak class of bloodsucking profiteers who fatten on famine.

Nobody is getting rich or being paid “vast sums” to be a global warming skeptic. There are no government grants to research that global warming might not be happening. Yeah, I know she is talking about Congress, but, if we must go there, the Democats lead the “rich or paid vast sums” class there. But that’s politics. The leadership in global warming skepticism comes from the arena of science and meteorology. In science, nobody is getting paid to be a skeptic. She is just playing Lenin, stirring up hate against an imaginary class that interferes with her path to leftist utopian totalitarianism.

  6. John says:

He claims that the solutions warmist propose are attacking capitalism
Since the largest corporations like WalMart seem to recognize the dangers and are providing at least some solutions I question why anyone would think warmists are trying to kill capitalism
Since the US Navy believes in AGW and is advancing solutions perhaps they should also be declared an enemy of capitalism?

  7. Jeffery says:

the solutions proposed by the w***ists are solutions which would make attack capitalism

    What “solutions” attack capitalism?

This is just the predicted next phase of Denialism.

    First: It’s not warming!
    Second: It’s not CO2!
Three: The cure is worse than warming!

So since you brought it up, what “solutions” for reducing CO2 emissions will destroy economies and capitalism?

  8. jl says:

But before your question can be answered the question “why reduce CO2 emissions when CO2 hasn’t been proved to cause anything negative?” has to be answered first. The only negative effects are always “predicted” in the future. An increase of CO2 is beneficial to plant life.

  9. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
Climate change has nothing to do with regulation of CO2. If it did, then efforts would be made to modify CO2 out put in a reasonable manner, not like the regulations from the big O that are designed to eliminate power plants. The fact is that the whole issue is one of political convenience. It is actively being used to modify the actions of 3rd world countries that signed the stupid carbon trading treaties. Then it is being used to promote income distribution. In short, any effort made to limit CO2 by man will only result in very small, not meaningful reductions in CO2. Now, you will come out with some very long dissertation on the subject trying to rebut what I say or ask for some type of proof or say that 99.999% of scientist would not manipulate data, but you are wrong and what I have just commented on came from liberal, climate change believers. Do this to prove the point, first use the scientific method to prove your various hypothesis, then have the believers reduce their CO2, then divorce the whole issue from politics. In short, you can’t so quit wasting your time commenting.

  10. John says:

David why are you always trying to say that the U.S. Navy has been duped but thatYOU are one of the few who can see through this giant conspiracy
One that Margaret Thatcher believed in
Walmart and the Pope believe Buffet and Gates believe
But you think it is a giant hoax and conspiracy to take away your carbon based freedoms

  11. Jeffery says:

    j,

There’s a few of you left who don’t understand global warming. CO2 that we’re adding to the atmosphere is causing the Earth to warm. And you are right that it will be worse in the future.

Few scientists agree with you that the benefits of greatly increasing atmospheric CO2 will outweigh the harm.

  12. Jeffery says:

    dave,

Conservatives seem particularly vulnerable to paranoid conspiracies such as yours.

Think about it. Thousands of scientists, every scientific body in the world, every major religion, governments, the military, and most corporations are all conspiring to destroy the world’s economies so they can redistribute your wealth to lazy people overseas.

The governments are giving billions to buy off scientists, bribing them to make up evidence. The scientific bodies are made up of scientists who are in on the graft, and everyone else are being duped because they believe what the scientists tell them.

In opposition are the intrepid conservabloggers, a ragtag assortment of former scientists, mostly funded by the energy industry, the usual ideologues and FOX “News”.

    Facts have a liberal bias.

the old navy saw again? they do what the civilian authorities tell them to do .. as do all branches of the military …. no independent thought going on there

  15. david7134 says:

    Jeff,
Conspiracy is your term, not mine. Mine is discourse. That is what usually gets these movements going in a direction, then the government capitalizes on the momentum. Again, I direct you back to what occurred with cholesterol and blood fats and the way that 99.999% of not only scientist, but doctors, nutritionist and all para-medical personnel were totally wrong for over 50 years. And it is only just beginning to unravel. Wait till the lawyers find out about how bad statins are.
