Say, Whatever Happened To The Bloodbath From NC’s New Gun Laws?

Strange, yet another liberal prognostication that failed to materialize (via The Daley Gator)

(WNCN) A state law that allows concealed carry permits holders to take their guns into bars and restaurants is now one year old, but even though the law is set in the books, the debate over concealed carry has not died down.

State lawmakers made it legal to carry concealed handguns in places like bars, movie theaters and in locked compartments of cars on school and state government parking lots one year ago Wednesday.

“And there’s been no incidences, so the law is playing out exactly as we thought it would,” Chmiel said.

As Gator Doug points out

Once again, the Cult of Gun Control is proven clueless. Every new law allowing CHL’s, or open carry, or stand your ground, or allowing carry in restaurants is followed by fear mongering by the gun grabbers. And, every time, they are wrong. Yet, they never evolve, they just keep emoting and acting as if they do not have good sense, which, of course, they don’t.

Interestingly, the places with the most restrictions tend to have the most shootings, usually by criminals who care less about following the law.

Strange but we never hear of Teach practicing what he preaches never hear he us openly packing heat at work, encouraging his workers to do the same, or inviting NC open carry to come meet at his store
Is thus worse than “warmists” who do not have carbon neutral lives?

  2. John says:

Huh ?? ” interestingly that ghe places that have the most restrictions tend yo have the most shootings”
Airplanes ? Jails ? Courtrooms? government buildings ? This is where most if the shootings occur in NC ?

  3. Jeffery says:

I guess if someone relevant had predicted a bloodbath you would have shared that information. That’s what is called a straw man argument on your part.

Doug Gator, whoever that is, calls people who want to keep guys from carrying shotguns and AR-15s out of their places of businesses, gun grabbers. I guess that makes Doug gator one of those creepy ammosexuals or a gun fondler.

Again with this? Gitar Carver has been you up so many times over this already. Here’s the difference, John: it’s MY choice whether I carry (and I do, now and then). If my company restricts guns on property, that’s their choice as a private company. I can CHOOSE to work elsewhere if I want. What you Warmists want is to involuntarily force YOUR beliefs on other people, while refusing to practice those same beliefs yourselves.

    Reading comprehension problem again?

Doug Gator’s quote is actually “Every new law allowing CHL’s, or open carry, or stand your ground, or allowing carry in restaurants is followed by fear mongering by the gun grabbers.”

His point is not that the restaurants are grabbing guns, but that gun grabbers scream, yell, and create fear that people react to by such things as banning guns in a restaurant.

Those actions have consequences – consequences that true gun grabbers refuse to acknowledge.

For example, after banning guns a restaurant gets robbed at gunpoint.

There are tons of stories similar to that out there if you bothered to do any research.

The fact of the matter is that actions have consequences. While a business has the right in most states to ban a weapon, those restaurants are going to be targeted by criminals who don’t care about the law or what a sign in the window says. Second Amendment advocates remind people of the facts. Liberals such as yourself remind people of fear and lies.

  6. Jeffery says:

Sigh. And how many businesses without gun bans were robbed?

So you’re angry that businesses such as Teach’s ban guns.

Is your unsupported statement that restaurants with gun bans will be targeted one of those “facts” you were talking about, or just “fears and lies” that you claim come from others?

  7. gitarcarver says:

Sigh. And how many businesses without gun bans were robbed?

You should sigh because as usual, you can’t deal with facts.

Criminals will target stores that do not allow guns.

So you’re angry that businesses such as Teach’s ban guns.

Nope. Not angry at all. (Why is it that liberals think that everyone is angry all the time? Project much?)

The point is that actions have consequences. If a store bans weapons, criminals are more likely to rob that store than a store that allows weapons. Stores ban at their own peril and at the peril of their customers.

Is your unsupported statement that restaurants with gun bans will be targeted one of those “facts” you were talking about, or just “fears and lies” that you claim come from others?

Except for the fact that it was not an “unsupported statement” and you continue to put out statements that increase fear and are dishonest, you’re dead on.

It must suck to come to a site like this thinking you are so superior and get your clock cleaned in facts and logic by people you think are beneath you. It just really sucks to be you, Jeffery.

    • John says:

      Sigh
GC do you openly carry at all times?
Teach ok so you don’t pack heat to work
And you do not allow others to do that either
Other than at work do you openly carry so as to deter crimes from happening around you ?
Murder rates are highest in southern states
Lowest in the northeast people own fewer guns in the northeast and they have tight laws
Of course the north east has better educated people also

    • John says:

GC libs progressives leftists are much more optimistic about the future than conservatives

  8. John says:

Are you packing heat today Teach ?

  9. What are the differences between public-accessible areas that proclaim themselves “gun-free zones” and places like jails and airplanes? Somehow you weren’t smart enough to figure that out, yet most people in this debate do understand what they are.

  10. gitarcarver says:

So john, kill any babies today?

After all, you believe in a woman’s right to choose so that must mean that all women must have abortions and you are the one to help them do it.

You have a serious problem with the concept of freedoms and rights, johnny boy.

  11. gitarcarver says:

Yeah john, that’s why you see conservatives working to make things better and people like you whining about how bad things are.

  12. John says:

Anger? GC I look forward to the future Guns? Although more andore guns are being made fewer households now choose to own them. And shockingly enough deaths by guns are going down.
I have great faith that my country will continue to move in the best direction
Sure it may stumble occasionally and the path will have turns and obstacles but it will move forward
As for the “sucks to be you” just keep saying that the
US Navy the Pope are all idiot warmists
This year seems to be on track to be the hottest ever
Hotter than 2010 which was able yo hold the all time record for just a few years

  13. gitarcarver says:

    Anger?

    Yep. Anger.

Guns? Although more andore guns are being made fewer households now choose to own them. And shockingly enough deaths by guns are going down.

Sorry, but you are wrong. Gun ownership hit a high this year with 49% of households owning guns. You are correct that people being killed with guns is down which goes to show that guns save lives.

I have great faith that my country will continue to move in the best direction

You mean that you believe that it will turn away from the destructive policies that people like you put forth?

Well now. …… Isn’t THAT interesting.

You didn’t answer the question on aborting all babies john. If you believe that it is a right for women to abort a child, should all babies be aborted? That’s the same logic that you try to employ when you ask whether someone is carrying a weapon.

So c’mon johnny boy. ‘Fess up. Are you killing all the unborn children in the country or not?

  14. gitarcarver says:

That stat should read “39%” and not “49%.”

    Bad editing on my part.

  15. Jeffery says:

“Criminals will target stores that do not allow guns.”

That’s what I call unsupported. Just show the evidence.
