MSM Liberal Suggests Impeaching Justices Who Rule The Mandate Unconstitutional

Sadly, this is not the Onion, this is what passes for serious thought in Liberal World

(Daily Beast) Impeach the Supreme Court Justices If They Overturn Health-Care Law

The Roberts Court’s rulings appear to be a concerted effort to send us back to the Gilded Age. If they dump the Affordable Care Act, writes David Dow, we should dump them.

You think the idea is laughable?

Thomas Jefferson disagreed with you. Jefferson believed Supreme Court justices who undermine the principles of the Constitution ought to be impeached, and that wasn’t just idle talk. During his presidency, Jefferson led the effort to oust Justice Samuel Chase, arguing that Chase was improperly seizing power. The Senate acquitted Chase in 1805, and no Justice has been impeached since, but as the Supreme Court threatens to nullify the health-care law, Jefferson’s idea is worth revisiting.

See, the problem with the Left …… well, one of them…. is that to them, the Constitution should always be made to fit their preconceived notions. They should always triumph. And, if not Bad Things should hapoen to others.

They do not like that the Constitution does guarantee rights and stuff to the citizens from the government. It makes them really angry that that document limits the power of the government, particularly the Central Government, and grants everything to the States and the People.

Protein Wisdom says an all-out coup is being attempted. Instapundit calls this pre-emptive war on SCOTUS. The Jawa Report highlights that you should be scared that the writer is a law professor.

The problem with the left in addition to their absolute disdain for the constitution is they can’t accept no for an answer. I guarantee that if Obamacare is found to be unconstitutional they will try again. Maybe not this year or next but they will try it again from a different angle. They remind of spoiled children who have been told their whole lives that they’re the greatest and they’re always right. They are elitist. When they’re told they can’t have something or they’re wrong they refuse to accept it. A form of government mandated healthcare will be back if Obamacare is overturned…mark my words.

  2. You’re exactly right, they won’t give up, no matter how unworkable and/or unpopular their ideas are. Because, They Are Good And Right And Everyone Should Listen To Them, preferably at the barrel of legislation.

And we have previous proof- Prop 8 in CA!
Traditional marriage won the vote thanks to them getting out the people of color to elect Obama. But the lefties whined and schemed and begged and cheated, and finally overturned the will of the people of CA.
Whether you are for or against an issue, if it’s on a ballot and it loses in a fair election-voted on by the people of your state- that ought to be the end of it. Until and unless you get it on the ballot again; not when throw a hissy fit, you bribe judges, or select ones with a stake in the matter!!!
What they lack in numbers they make up for in big mouths!
