Well, it’s nice to know that Obama is making friends around the world and “restoring America’s honor”

Daniel Fiol lodged a written complaint at the International Criminal Court accusing the US president of breaching the Geneva Convention.

Navy Seals acting on Mr Obama’s orders shot the al-Qaeda leader dead on May 2 after storming his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

In his written complaint, the Majorca-based lawyer said bin Laden should have been “pursued, arrested, tried and convicted” on behalf of “the victims of some terrible and appalling atrocities”. The killing of bin Laden was even worse as it took place in foreign territory, Pakistan, without the permission of that government, he said.

Fiol is a Spanish lawyer: it wasn’t his fellow countrymen killed on September 11 (well, exactly one was a Spaniard). And, if memory serves, Spain ran away from Iraq with their tails between their legs due to Al Qaeda threats.

Anyhow, I will defend Obama’s actions in this matter, he did the right thing in ordering the killing of Osama, and it was a ballsy move. The last thing we need is a bunch of international “do gooders” and “human rights”….well, let’s call them…. “assholes”…. running around, demanding Osama be tried in civilian court, getting all lawyered up, and being given a chance to vent.

Jihad Watch: Does Daniel Fiol think that the 9/11 attacks were a crime against humanity? Did he file a complaint with the ICC about them? I would expect not.
