Pacific Islands Looking At Massive Monetary Windfall For Globull Warming

Yeah, AGW has nothing to do with the redistribution of wealth, among its other problems

LEADERS at the Pacific Islands Forum will work to make the most of a windfall expected from a $US100 billion ($110 billion) ”climate aid” fund agreed at climate change talks in Copenhagen.

The influx of aid money is expected to come from a short-term $US30 billion fund to help developing countries cope with climate change, which was agreed on by about 100 countries that signed up to the non-binding Copenhagen Accord. The longer-term goal was $US100 billion a year by 2020. which would be funded primarily by wealthy developed countries.

Although much of the money is yet to be raised and the United Nations has not yet set up a system for distributing the funding, Neroni Slade, the Pacific Forum’s secretary-general, said the Copenhagen funding was expected to bring a ”significant flow of funds” into the Pacific.

Like so many Welfare Queens, these islands have glommed on to an issue that cannot be demonstrated to be anything other than primarily natural, and used it to demand money out of the rest of the world. What will they do with it? Does anyone want to bet that the money will be used for other than protecting themselves from “climate change?”

The kids currently growing up on those islands will die of old age, ON those islands, which will not have been sunk by the end of the century, or even by the end of the Millenium.

And with the money from the fund? They’ll still be Poor. ‘Cause there won’t be none.

Teach that 100 Billion is to be shared by ALL the developing countries, not just by the Pacific Islanders. Teach do you think that the Earth is warming and if so what exactly do YOU think is causing it to warm at this rate ?

  3. Otter says:

The same thing that caused it to warm at similar or higher rates in the past, hundreds of thousands of times over the past half-billion years.

    And it isn’t CO2.

  4. Dear Lord, John, how many times do we have to tell you? Mostly natural.
