Uh Oh: USA Today Brings Up The D Word

Ah, it looks like the media is finally staring to notice what Obama and the Democrats’ policies, added on top of the recession, are a bad idea, though they do tip toe around the Dems malfeasance

.….Such outright wage declines hint at deflation — a generalized drop in wages and prices. The last time that happened in the United States: 1931-33, when prices fell at an average annual rate of more than 8%.

The consumer price index fell for the third straight month in June, dropping 0.1%, the Labor Department said Friday. Less expensive energy bills were a big factor behind the drop. Prices for some food items and airlines fares also fell.

“I think deflation is a very real threat,” says Richard DeKaser, president of Woodley Park Research in Washington, D.C.

Sometimes, deflation can help consumers, but, in the long run, wages decrease badly, and people have no money. If only we had some people in government who understood how an economy works.

Meanwhile, over at the NY Times, Floyd Norris discusses how to tell when a nation’s economy is at risk. Yeah, ours is in deep doo doo.

Oh good, another economics lesson from a guy who thinks that China follows a “Classical Liberalism model” in their economic policies. Most people with even minimal familiarity with business in China acknowledge that it is the highest powers of the COMMUNIST party that call the biggest shots. China’s spending on infrastructure alone would be enough to bring you TEA baggers to the streets. This much is certain. Yet Screech acts like China is some sort of Chicago Boys wet dream.

Why is your blog banned in “RED CHINA”, Screech? Is it because you don’t know shit about their economy?

    NEWS FLASH. Regarding this bonehead Bunny;

Since I never watched the show, I didn’t make the connection. And, I liked thinking that our old friend Reasic was playing coy with us here on Pirates Cove. But I googled it.

Howard “Bunny” Colvin is a fictional character on the HBO drama The Wire, played by actor Robert Wisdom.

Posting nasty and untrue blog posts, and being a huge coward hiding behind aliases: Priceless.

  3. Bunny Colvin says:

Detective Trish- nice work. I’m not surprised that you never watched the show. Too many “coloreds” for the collective taste of TEA bagger nation. Stick with FauxNews. It’s more your speed anyway.

What part of my previous comment is untrue? That it is primarily the state that controls China’s economic policy? Are you too of the moronic opinion that China “follows a Classical Liberalism model”? Please, I’d love to hear your take on China’s economy.

I told your dumb ass before that I wasn’t REASIC and even gave you the names of other blogs to verify this. But you wait until now to check “the google” and find that Bunny Colvin is not my real name? You’re a real bloodhound, Trish, I gotta hand it to you. You’d be a valuable asset to any law enforcement agency.

  4. Trish McNamara says:

    Nice mouth.

I don’t know where you get off assuming that I didn’t watch the show because of “coloreds” but that is untrue. Perhaps instead, you might presume I watch something different at that same time. Or that I don’t have cable? No you go ahead and jump to conclusions.

I should understand though, because you make the ultra liberal leap of faith that a) Tea Party folks are racist (a complete and utter lie and media promoted BS story fed to lemmings as yourself who will eat it up) and b) that Fox news has anything to do with forming mine or any of the opinions here at Pirates cove.

That Fox NEWS gives an accurate reporting of the news is a fact.
Their Opinion shows can be judged on their own merits individually, but have nothing whatsoever to do with FOX NEWS.

Keep hiding behind your silly little alias/es and act like a foul mouthed teenager. It suits you well.

  5. Bunny Colvin says:

Trish McNamara- I couldn’t care less what your name is, whether or not you have cable, or your opinion of “coloreds” (as the TEA baggers call African Americans).

You claimed that something I wrote was untrue and I’d like to know what this is.

Is Megyn Kelly’s show “opinion” or “fact”? How about Fox and Friends? Is Steve Douchey more of an “opinion” guy or “fact” guy?
