A teacher at a failing school where he and all his colleagues are being fired hung an effigy of President Barack Obama in his classroom, apparently in reaction to Obama’s support of extreme measures to ensure accountability in schools.
The teachers union on Thursday condemned the effigy, discovered Monday in the teacher’s third-floor classroom at Central Falls High School, saying it was wrong and cannot be condoned under any circumstances.
Can we blame the TEA Party? Oh, that would mean actually putting the story out in the big MSM, and since most teachers tend to be liberals, that would look bad.
The president of the Central Falls Teachers Union, Jane Sessums, said in a written statement that the teacher, whose name wasn’t disclosed, hung the doll “as part of what he described as a lesson plan.”
A lesson in how liberals are violent?
Sessums said the teacher who hung the effigy verbally apologized to his students and asked Gallo if he could also apologize in writing.
“He understands that his actions affect not just his students but all of us,” she wrote. “There is no excuse for what he did.”
Everyone sing Kumbaya, have a Coke, and have a good group cry. Sheesh. Man up, people. Sticks and stones, names.
Of course, had the teacher been on the right, his name would have been released, and it would have been all about those crazy-dangerous righties, rather than it being about a single bad apple.
The American Thinker: It may seem odd that an Obama doll could be hanging in a classroom for about a week without being noticed by one of the students, but after a quick review of Central Falls High School’s academic performance it makes perfect sense. How many of the estimated 100 students would actually have had occasion to look at the white board in any given week? How many of the young scholars who looked at the board would have noticed the Obama doll hanging there? How many of these future leaders would have recognized that the doll was a representation of Mr. Obama? And finally, how many of these core democrat voters could actually read the sign on the doll?

No, we just tend to teach at non-government schools that do not have unions that are there for the teachers, rather then the kids. Why do teachers unions hate kids, John? They block virtually every reform meant to help the kids.
