A shot from the doorway earlier with ye olde iPhone. Stupid battery for really good digital camera needs replacing. About 3 1/2 inches with sleet and ice on top. Might post some more later, when I have gotten dressed. No way I was going outside.

Yep, pretty much the same, here.
They have barely bothered with the roads. 540 and New Bern on the east side going towards Knightdale haven’t been touched. Very bumpy from the ice. Heck, I had to go a different way out of my subdivision because it was so slick, with a Jeep Liberty, no less.
The daughter and family in Wichita got seven inches overnight on Thursday. It turned into a snow day for schools. All five at home on a Friday?!?!?!?
We’re actually having a somewhat easier winter here. Most of the snow is lake-effect off of Huron and Erie. Temps close to Zero F at night, high 20s during the day.
However, 4th winter in a row, it flies directly in the face of the global warming predictions like the ones realsick, johnny and BSr believe in.
*sigh*
A warming planet does not mean you will never get snow again.
*sigh* But what does (4) straight winters with below average temps say? Is it time to start considering it a trend? We too are on our 4th winter in a row with less than normal temps.
