Without an international agreement to limit global warming, temperatures are likely to rise by 9F (5C) by the end of the century – triggering mass migration, warfare and world hunger, according to the report.
Really? Nine f’ing degrees? Seriously? Prove it. They can only speculate what the weather will be like 10 days out, and tend to be more wrong than right.
But Lord Stern, who produced the report together with the London School of Economics and other leading academics, said it was still possible for the world to keep the temperature rise below 3.6F (2C) – but only if world leaders agree to cut global emissions at next week’s UN Climate Summit in Copenhagen.
Yeah, but all those agreements and legislation out there would supposedly only reduce the temp by about .02C. Besides, can anyone point out how well Kyoto worked out? Yeah, pretty piss poor, eh? Because when push came to shove, people didn’t want their price of living to skyrocket. The climate alarmists do not mind if someone else gets hosed, as long as they are left alone. Which wasn’t happening.
However the world must be prepared to spend more money on tackling climate change through both public finance and a new raft of “carbon taxes”.
In other word, just give your money to the government, they’ll know what to do with that. And, damn, they are just so responsible with money, aren’t they?
Remind me, AGW Believers, what are Lord Stern’s degree’s in? We already know he is a climahypocrite.
