Mitt Romney’s Climate Change (Hoax) Belief Continues

And here we go again

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.

“I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that,” he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.

“It’s important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors.”…

In addressing climate change and energy policy, Romney called on the United States to break its dependence on foreign oil, and expand alternative energies including solar, wind, nuclear and clean coal.

The question not asked to Mitt is “how much has Mankind contributed?” Long time readers know that I take the stance that Mankind has contributed perhaps 10-15%, mostly through agriculture and landfills (which are mostly about methane, not CO2), to actual anthropogenic global warming. I stress on global, because quite a bit of the warming attributed is not global, but, local. Urban Island Heat Affect. More important to me is the question “what do you want to do about this, Mitt?” If he’s a True Believer, fine. As long as he doesn’t shove economy killing measures and silly energy policies down the American public’s throat, fine.

As Allahpundit points out

Of course, McCain did okay among Republican voters even though he made no secret of his belief that carbon emissions are linked to global warming and even gave a speech on cap-and-trade after his nomination was secure. And he didn’t have the benefit of facing a Barack Obama who’s now even more widely reviled by conservatives than he was three years ago. Many sins can be forgiven in the name of winning, especially if/when Romney inevitably finesses his position here by endorsing “market solutions” to the problem instead of regulation.

Sadly, no matter who gets the GOP nod, even if it is Crazy Uncle Ron Paul (haven’t heard much from him as of late), Conservatives must vote for him. Getting Obama out is Priority Number One. Then, we can beat the snot (metaphorically) out of the President on certain issue if he/she pushes them.

I’ve reached out to the Romney campaign with a few questions. We’ll see if they answer.

I want to move to a remote and isolated island. These psychopathic sociopath liberals are killing me.

I’d almost vote for a Ron Paul just to force that swinging door open back to the center instead of a slow creaking crud-filled nudge.

  2. […] Alas, he does have this issue of his globull warming belief gnawing away at his popularity, which I mentioned on June 4th. And now Romney: No apologies on global warming stance Mitt Romney won’t be doing any apology […]
