If All You See…

…is a wonderful train which Everyone Else should be forced to ride, you might just be a Warmist

The blog of the day is Geller Report, with a post on Hamas beating Gazans for taking aid (well, they did vote for this)

I may have figured out the issue. I use a plugin called Yoast SEO, and it update a week ago. I had already tried a bunch of stuff, which I won’t bore you with, even turning Jetpack, a big part of WordPress, off, since one plugin that shows plugin use showed it used a lot of resources in RAM. But, Dreamhost showed me a different metric, showing Yoast was very high. Turned it off, reset the server, and I haven’t seen an offline on the add post page in 20 minutes.

If you are still seeing the downtimes, slowdowns, and 503 errors, please comment. Crossing fingers that this fixed it.

Far Left Democrat Group Finds Voters Prefer Babblespeak Over The Other Babblespeak

I mean, what the hell is this all supposed to mean? Even the Politico writer seems to be having a hard time describing this beyond the topline “abundance” and “populism”

Democratic research finds voters prefer populism over ‘Abundance’

Populism is more electorally effective than the new “Abundance” agenda, a progressive think tank and Democratic operatives are arguing in a preview of the party’s messaging divisions ahead of next year’s midterms.

A memo obtained first by POLITICO cautioned Democrats about relying solely on the emergent school of thought, which criticizes overly bureaucratic regulations for slowing progress on housing production needed to drive down costs and infrastructure projects. It was penned by Kamala Harris campaign veterans Geoff Garin, a Democratic pollster, and strategist Brian Fallon, along with the liberal economic group Groundwork Collaborative.

The strategists were joined by Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-Pa.) in briefing Capitol Hill staffers and Democratic operatives this week on polling and focus group data to substantiate their argument. The group is expected to present its findings again to congressional Democrats early next week, according to a person directly familiar with the schedule and granted anonymity to discuss private meetings.

It would probably be better to come up with a policy plan of Not Being Crazy, but, they apparently just want to play to their hardcore wackadoodle moonbat base.

“While there are elements of the Abundance agenda that have appeal, and the choice on which messages to deliver is not zero-sum, a populist economic approach better solves for Democrats’ challenges with working-class voters,” the memo read. “If candidates are asking which focus deserves topmost billing in Democrats’ campaign messaging, the answer is clear: though some voters believe excessive bureaucracy can be a problem, it ranks far behind other concerns and tackling it does not strike voters as a direct response to the problem of affordability.”

It described affordability as voters’ primary concern, and posited they “see Abundance-style policy solutions as less responsive” to that problem.

Huh what?

The research — which tested populist-based messages versus the cutting-red-tape “Abundance” agenda — is among the first deep dives into the electoral potency of the movement, popularized by New York Times’ columnist Ezra Klein and writer Derek Thompson, who published a book by the same name last March.

It also comes as Democrats wrestle with how to move forward after sweeping losses in 2024, which underscored the party’s inability to focus on voters’ fiscal concerns. The battle over how to move forward with a unified economic message is still underway.

Sure looks like they are still taking the wrong message, but, hey, that’s a good thing. Seriously, this whole “abundance” message, where is it in practice? Where are Democrats cutting red tape? They talk a good game in, say, Los Angeles and Maui after the wildfires, but, in practice rebuilding is still stifled.

Progressives, led by Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas), have pushed economic populism, arguing that the party must rebuild its relationship with working-class voters by vilifying billionaires and corporate power. That’s more in line with what the memo argued will reach voters, as “majorities of Democrats and independents and two in five Republicans believe the outsized power of billionaires and corporations in our government is a bigger problem than red tape and bureaucracy.”

Their version of economic populism is still government control, and this is what the Democratic Socialists of America folks in Congress want. Is that popular? It’s still the same old Big Government message in different wrapping paper. And, please, they’re still going to take massive amounts of money from the uber-millionaires and billionaires.

But other Democrats favor Klein’s and Thompson’s diagnosis, which takes aim at bureaucratic inefficiencies and over regulation for stymieing growth on ambitious, Democrat-backed projects around housing, infrastructure and climate change. Pro-“Abundance” Democrats see it as an answer to the party’s eroding trust on delivering for voters, especially in blue cities and states, by failing to prove that the government can still execute effectively.

They can talk all they want, this will never happen if they have any say about it.

The presentation also included a video of “examples of populist framing,” featuring a campaign ad from Arizona Sen. Ruben Gallego, a speech from Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff arguing that “corruption in America runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump,” and debate excerpts from Rep. Vincente Gonzalez, attacking grocers for “price gouging.”

Literally just playing to the moonbat base, not the general voting public. Heck, not even to the more normal Democrats. It’s also a message that says “we think you peasants are stupid.” Democrats will still run on being pro-illegal alien, pro-spending, pro-taxation, pro-Big Government, pro-red tape, anti-Israel/Jews, etc and so on.

DOJ Petitions To Kill Of NY’s Climate Superfund Law

There have already been several court rulings, such as in NJ, which have state that this power belongs to Los Federales

Justice Department argues federal law ‘trumps’ New York’s Climate Change Superfund Act

The Trump Justice Department wants New York’s Climate Change Superfund Act declared unconstitutional. They asked a federal judge last week to strike down the 2024 law which seeks to put big oil companies on the hook for climate related damages.

The law creates a fund to collect $75 billion from the biggest polluters over 25 years which would go toward paying for those damages, and advocates argue in the process, save taxpayers money.

The filing, asking for a summary judgement, accuses New York state of violating precedent that federal law should govern disputes relating to pollution in which “the interstate or international nature of the controversy makes it inappropriate for state law to control,” insisting the Constitution ”demands a “federal rule of decision.”

Blair Horner, senior policy advisor for NYPIRG, was a chief advocate for the law’s passage. He told Spectrum News 1 that it’s not as if it didn’t occur to those behind the bill that it would face significant legal challenges.

Funny, because climate cultists, and, previously, enviroweenies, have argued that the federal government is in control of stuff like this because it crosses state borders, so, states must comply. It’s a basis, for instance, for Obama’s CO2 endangerment finding. Democrats can’t have it both ways.

Those pushing for the law have consistently argued that the “polluter pays” model has been tested through the federal superfund.

“Should New Yorkers pay $3 billion per year for the next 25 years for climate-related damages or should the oil companies? We think the oil companies should,” Horner said.

What if oil companies just stop selling their products in NY?

State Assemblyman Phil Palmesano, ranking member on the Energy Committee, countered Horner’s argument, insisting that New Yorkers will pay if the law does ultimately stand up to legal scrutiny.

“The ratepayer, the small business, the manufacturer, the farmer, that is who is going to pay for this surcharge if this is not thrown out,” he said.

The consumer almost always pays. See “The People’s Republik Of California.” But, hey, I’m actually all for letting the law stand. Every experiment needs an experimental group to see what happens, right?

Trump Admin To Officially End TPS For Venezuelans

How soon till yet another far left wacko judges says “damn the actual law”?

Trump administration to end temporary status of another 268,000 Venezuelan migrants, urging them to self-deport

The Trump administration on Wednesday moved to terminate the legal status and work permits of nearly 270,000 Venezuelan migrants enrolled in the Temporary Protected Status program, urging them to self-deport from the U.S.

The announcement marked the latest effort by the Trump administration to revoke humanitarian protections granted to hundreds of thousands of migrants from countries plagued by political turmoil, war and other crises, making them eligible for potential deportation.

Unless blocked in court, the move by the Department of Homeland Security will terminate the legal protections of Venezuelans enrolled in a TPS program created in 2021 by the Biden administration. Homeland Security officials said roughly 268,000 Venezuelans are covered under the 2021 program, and their status would lapse in the next 60 days.

Earlier in the year, the Trump administration, following a decision by the Supreme Court, terminated another TPS designation issued in 2023 that covered roughly 350,000 Venezuelans, most of whom crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally or entered the country legally under now-defunct Biden-era programs.

The 2021 program covers a separate group of Venezuelan migrants who have been in the U.S. for longer.

TPS is just that: temporary. And the TPS has officially ended for these Venezuelans, so, Trump is not terminating anything: he’s simply not renewing it. The US is not meant to be a dumping ground for people from around the world who no one else wants, and refuse to assimilate, learn the language, and stand on their own feet.

Jackwad Roger Waters Attacks Ozzy Osbourne, Son Returns Fire

Seriously, was anyone asking for the opinion of fake communist/socialist Roger Waters?

Jack Osbourne slams Roger Waters after Pink Floyd founder insults Ozzy Osbourne

Jack Osbourne has zero tolerance for hateful comments towards his late father, Ozzy Osbourne.

On Tuesday, the 39-year-old took to social media to call out Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters, who seemingly insulted his father during an appearance on “The Independent Ink” last month.

“Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him, in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life,” Waters, 81, said. “We’ll never know, we didn’t, you know? Although he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.”

“I don’t care about Black Sabbath, I never did,” he added. “I have no interest in biting the heads of chickens or whatever they do. I couldn’t care less, you know.”

Jack responded to Waters’ blunt remarks via his Instagram Stories.

“Hey [Roger Waters], F— you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become,” he wrote. “The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bulls— in the press. My father always thought you were a c— – thanks for proving him right.”

Roger’s bandmates in Pink Floyd also thought he was a c***.

Roger pretended to be a communist/socialist, and you can hear it in some of the songs (Money, for instance). But, he damned sure wasn’t. He was an insufferable twat, a Jew hater, and a Putin lover. There’s no doubt that he was a fantastic lyrics writer and song composer. But, without Gilmour, Nick Mason, and Rick Wright, he would have been nothing. He’s played with good studio musicians, but, does anyone really remember his solo albums? Do you hear them on the radio? He was a very basic bass player, wouldn’t even belong in the top 200.  He was barely a metronome.

Waters forgets that Ozzy wrote a lot of lyrics, and was involved with the music and song composition, both solo and with Black Sabbath. He was also, from all accounts, a nice guy, a funny guy, a good dad. Crazy, but, great guy. He introduced the world to Randy Rhoads and Zakk Wylde. He had huge, talented musicians wanting to play with him. He is revered in the metal community for helping so many up and coming bands, including with his Ozzfests. Ozzy and Judas Priest were huge in doing this. Ozzy was not a miserable douchebag like Waters. Let’s also not forget that it wasn’t Waters singing some of Floyd’s biggest songs. Glimour sang a good chunk of them.

The entire rock world mourned the loss of Ozzy. So many musicians in other styles mourned. Entertainment folks mourned. Media folks. When Roger passes, well, won’t be a lot, except some fans, some Jew/Israel haters, and Putin, with some Russian oligarchs.

PS: I would love to get my hands on one of the true Rany Rhoads’ Concorde guitars.

Bummer: US Military Strike Tren De Aragua Drug Boat

Believe it or not, lots and lots of moonbats are having meltdowns over this

US military kills 11 in strike on alleged drug boat tied to Venezuelan cartel, Trump says

The United States conducted a deadly military strike against an alleged drug boat tied to the cartel Tren de Aragua, President Donald Trump said Tuesday.

The US president said 11 people were killed in the strike in “international waters.” Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the “lethal strike” as taking place in the “southern Caribbean” against “a drug vessel which had departed from Venezuela.”

The use of military force against Latin American drug cartels represents a significant escalation by the Trump administration and could have serious implications for the region.

Um, really, CNN? Are we supposed to be upset that a drug runner boat with a bunch of violent gang members was taken out? If Venezuela is upset, to heckadoodles with them

“Earlier this morning, on my Orders, U.S. Military Forces conducted a kinetic strike against positively identified Tren de Aragua Narcoterrorists in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility. TDA is a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization, operating under the control of Nicolas Maduro, responsible for mass murder, drug trafficking, sex trafficking, and acts of violence and terror across the United States and Western Hemisphere,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

“Please let this serve as notice to anybody even thinking about bringing drugs into the United States of America. BEWARE!” he wrote.

The State Department designated Tren de Aragua, which originated in Venezuela, as a foreign terrorist organization and specially designated global terrorists in February.

The US has amassed a large number of military assets around the Caribbean and Latin America, drawing the ire of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro.

Screw him, too. Marco Rubio seemed to hint that this is going to happen more and more. Good.

Asked by CNN about the legal authority for militarily targeting the cartels, Rubio said, “I’m not going to answer for the White House counsel, suffice it to say that all of those steps were taken in advance.”

“The president has designated these as terrorist organizations, which is what they are,” he said.

CNN didn’t seem to care much about the legal authority for Obama to drone strike terrorists during his time in office. Nor did they stress about Biden’s legal authority to cancel school loan debt, even as the courts said he didn’t have it.

Cool: Appeals Court Allows Nixing $16 Billion In Climate (scam) Funds

Yet another hard left wackadoodle moonbat TDS infused judge overruled

U.S. appeals court allows Trump’s EPA to nix climate grants

President Donald Trump’s administration can proceed with terminating more than $16 billion in grants awarded to non-profit groups to fight climate change, a U.S. federal appeals court ruled on Tuesday.

Trump’s predecessor Joe Biden’s signature 2022 Inflation Reduction Act had awarded the grants aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Environmental Protection Agency under Trump had sought to terminate the grants.

By a 2-1 vote, a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit ruled that a lower-court judge lacked jurisdiction to hear the case brought by five of eight of the non-profits who had collectively been awarded $20 billion under the law’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund program.

The EPA and a lawyer for the plaintiffs did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The EPA under administrator Lee Zeldin maintained the program did not align with the agency’s priorities, and it cited concerns with potential fraud, waste and abuse. The FBI and Justice Department under Trump also investigated the program.

Right off the bat, why is the US government simply giving large sums of taxpayer money to non-governmental organizations, many of which were brand spanking new and had no idea, or plan, on how to use the money? If you want money from a bank you best have an action plan on what you are going to do with it, business wise.

Climate United Fund is a far left organization that takes government money and doles it out. Have they been audited to see where the money goes?

Coalition For Green Capital seems to spend all their time and (taxpayer) money on electing Democrats.

Power Forward Communities, Inc was created in 2023, after Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” was passed. This is the one linked to Stacy Abrams. They have no experience really in anything.

Inclusiv, Inc started in 2019, and is all about “managing a $1.87 billion federal award to provide grants to credit unions.” So, spreading the cash around.

Justice Climate Fund, Inc probably needs to be audited, too.

Anyhow, this is all about that money the Biden admin shadily moved into a Citibank account

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan in Washington issued a preliminary injunction in April, holding that the Trump administration’s actions were unlawful and requiring Citibank to disburse the funds.

Huh. Her again. How many rulings of hers have been overturned since Trump took office? Anyhow, no organization is entitled to taxpayer money unless they’ve already done work for the government. These have done nothing, and really do not do much.

Good News: Hegseth To Find 600 Military Lawyers To Deal With Illegals/Fake Asylum Seekers

This is creating quite a bit of apoplexy on the Left

Pentagon plans for 600 military lawyers to backfill immigration judges

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has tasked the branches of the armed services with finding up to 600 military lawyers to serve as temporary immigration judges in response to a request for assistance from the Department of Homeland Security, two people familiar with the request told The Washington Post.

The Pentagon is looking to identify military lawyers, known as judge advocates general, or JAGs, across active-duty services, the National Guard and the reserves to step in as judges to support immigration or law enforcement court proceedings. The Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration is already filling some court dockets, and both the military and the Department of Homeland Security are looking for ways to support expanded operations in Chicago and other major American cities.

“At the request of the Department of Justice, the Department of Defense is identifying qualified Judge Advocates and civilian attorneys for details to serve as Temporary Immigration Judges. These DOD attorneys will augment existing resources to help further combat a backlog of cases by presiding over immigration hearings,” chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a statement.

But the use of military lawyers has raised concern, another person familiar with the planning said — speaking like the others on the condition of anonymity out of fear of retaliation — that those officers may not have experience with immigration court proceedings or may receive insufficient training for complicated and potentially life-altering deportation hearings.

I mean, it’s super easy

“Did you enter the United States without permission? Yes? You’re being repatriated”

What else needs to be said? It matters not what they think of their home country. They can claim it is dangerous, but, these same illegals are making it dangerous in the U.S. If they do not want to got home, they can pick a flight elsewhere. As long as they go.

The Trump admin could probably find a whole bunch of retired judges who vote Republican to help out.

More Than 85 Climate (cult) Scientists Whine About Trump Admin Climate Report

Suddenly, it is not OK to have some errors and “cherry picking” and stuff

More than 85 climate experts say Energy Department report on greenhouse gases is “full of errors”

An international group of more than 85 climate experts on Tuesday published a 439-page review arguing that a report by the Trump administration’s Energy Department fails to “adequately represent the current scientific understanding of climate change,” and it “exhibits pervasive problems” by misrepresenting scientific literature and cherry-picking data.

The Department of Energy’s 151-page report, “A Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S. Climate,” was written by five authors who were hand-selected by Energy Secretary Chris Wright, a former fossil fuel executive. It included a controversial conclusion that “carbon dioxide-induced warming appears to be less damaging economically than commonly believed,” and it states that “aggressive mitigation strategies” to address greenhouse gas emissions “could be more harmful than beneficial” — a statement that supports the oil and gas industry. (snip)

“Climate science is probably one of the most robust and scrutinized scientific fields in the history of science because of the economic implications,” said Andrew Dessler, director of the Texas Center for Extreme Weather at Texas A&M University, who felt the report made “a mockery of science.” (snip)

In less than a month, Dessler helped organize more than 85 international climate experts, mostly from universities, from the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia and Canada, who voluntarily reviewed the DOE report and found that it was “full of errors,” “biased” and “not fit to inform policy.”

This is laughable. The entire doomsday cult rests upon a bed of lies, misrepresentation, faulty data, and cultish thinking. It’s not a mockery of science, it’s just not science. It begins with the presumption that Mankind is at fault via its use of fossil fuels, and then they generate the data to support this, the exact opposite of how science and the scientific method works.

Dessler and his colleagues are not the only ones who are concerned about the DOE report and its findings. The American Meteorological Society also published its own response, finding “five foundational flaws” that it says “places the report at odds with scientific principles and practices.”

If things are so bad, why are all these Warmists using vast amounts of fossil fuels and energy in their own lives?
