Happy Easter Sunday! It’s another wonderful day in Returned America. The Sun is shining, the birds are singing (there’s a new one, no clue what type, damned loud. Sounds like whistling), and the NHL Playoffs are here. This pinup is by Art Frahm, with a wee bit of help.
What is happening in Ye Olde Blogosphere? The Fine 15
As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page (nope, that’s gone, the newest Apache killed access, and the program hasn’t been upgraded since 2014, so, most are hosted internally). While we are on pinups, since it is that time of year, have you gotten your Pinups for Vets calendar yet? And don’t forget to check out what I declare to be our War on Women Rule 5 and linky luv posts and things that interest me. I’ve also mostly alphabetized them, makes it easier scrolling the feedreader
Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!
Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. And do you have a favorite blog you can recommend be added to the feedreader?
Two great sites for getting news links are Liberty Daily and Whatafinger.
I’m not sure what was going through the Supreme Courts mind on this one
The Trump administration on Saturday released the rap sheets and photos of alleged Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang members detained in Texas who the administration is trying to deport.
The suspects of the violent Venezuelan gang were going to be deported using the recently reinstated Alien Enemies Act of 1798 before the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled Saturday morning against deportations under the 18th century law.
In a decision in favor of the American Civil Liberties Union, the administration was barred from removing Venezuelans held in Texas’ Bluebonnet Detention Center “until further order of this court.”
It was 7-2, with Thomas and Alito dissenting
“These are some of the TdA gang members detained in Texas that we are trying to deport,” a senior Trump official told Fox News.
TdA, designated a foreign terrorist organization Feb. 20 by the Department of State, has thousands of members, many of whom the White House says have unlawfully infiltrated the U.S. and are “undertaking hostile actions against the United States.”
Photos released by the administration of suspected TdA members who made the list show various tattoos, weapons, jewelry and money.
Let’s meet a few of these upstanding illegals
Henry Romero-Gonzalez has pending criminal charges for three counts of assault, crimes against a person and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to officials.
Alessandro Benedikt Parades-Worwa is facing criminal charges for aggravated assault with a weapon and pointing and presenting guns at a person, according to the Trump administration.
Cristian Andres Andrade-Vargas is facing criminal charges for larceny and dangerous drugs, according to officials.
Angel Ignacio Cardenas-Bravo is facing criminal charges for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, child neglect with great bodily harm, resisting an officer with violence, domestic violence battery, carrying a concealed gun and possession of a gun during the commission of a felony, according to the Trump administration.
And there are several more at the link. Why, exactly, did four Conservatives vote to keep these scumbags in the country? It’s a temporary order till “judicial review” occurs. Why? We start with them being here illegally. That’s all that’s necessary. Many of them do have visible TdA tattoos.

Personally, I recommend that all Democrats jump on the side of protecting illegals who are gang members, murderers, rapists, and assault children, as well as visa holders who support Hamas, want Jews and Americans dead, and want America destroyed
Democrats Should Take A Good Look At Two New Polls And Think Twice Before Jetting Off To El Salvador
Democrats should take a good, hard look at two new polls before they follow colleague Sen. Chris Van Hollen straight off a political cliff.
The Democratic Maryland senator finally got his wish Thursday evening: a photo-op with deported illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. The simpatico pair is also now on a first-name basis. Heartwarming, indeed.
The Trump administration mistakenly deported Abrego Garcia to El Salvador due to a clerical error, but maintain that he should remain in the Central American country because of his connection to notorious gang MS-13. On Wednesday, the Department of Justice published a dossier detailing his ties to the gang, while the Department of Homeland Security released a document showing that his wife, Jennifer Vasquez Sura, once sought a domestic violence restraining order against him in 2021.
House and Senate Democrats are probably looking on at Van Hollen in envy. He’s a hero to illegal aliens everywhere, shooting up to national stardom, raking in the fundraising dollars, and taking a vacation in a Central American paradise (likely) on the taxpayer dime. That could’ve been me!
Vacation, eh?
That’s right, one of the high class luxury hotels in San Salvador. You can tell by the gawdawful carpeting. And here’s Excitable Maxine Dexter (D-Or) claiming she’s going. Anyhow
But before they try to emulate, or at least support, Van Hollen’s crusade, they should think twice.
According to a new CNBC survey, President Donald Trump has a net +7 approval on his policy of deporting illegal aliens. The president also has a net +12 approval on his handling of the southern border.
Meanwhile, CNN cited a poll Thursday that found a whopping 56% of Americans support a mass deportation of illegal aliens. In 2016, that number stood nearly 20 points lower, at 38%.
Like lemmings, many Democrats, rushing to defend Abrego Garcia, have plummeted off a cliff. But those who have withheld judgment should continue to do so. The polls tell a different story from the media’s narrative: the supposedly upstanding, wholesome, All-American Maryland man should be deported for good.
No, no, all should do this. It’s what most of them believe. They’d rather put illegals and Hamas supporters over Americans.
Nice digs if the taxpayers can afford them, eh?
That’s Trump meeting with Patty Morin, who’s daughter Rachel was raped and slaughtered by an illegal alien from El Salvador, while Van Hollen meets with an MS-13 member who was suspected on human trafficking.

The whole thing starts with imprecise and cultish terminology
Project to suck carbon out of sea begins in UK
A ground-breaking project to suck carbon out of the sea has started operating on England’s south coast.
The small pilot scheme, known as SeaCURE, is funded by the UK government as part of its search for technologies that fight climate change.
There’s broad consensus among climate scientists that the overwhelming priority is to cut greenhouse gas emissions, the chief cause of global warming.
But many scientists also believe that part of the solution will have to involve capturing some of the gases that have already been released.
If we’re talking about CO2, carbon dioxide, term it that way. Calling it carbon is horseshit
These projects, known as carbon capture, usually focus either on capturing emissions at source or pulling them from the air.
What makes SeaCure interesting is that it is testing whether it might be more efficient to pull planet-warming carbon from the sea, since it is present in greater concentrations in water than in the air.
You know, what could possibly go wrong? Also, is the CO2 concentration now higher than it was during previous Holocene warm periods?
The project is trying to find whether removing carbon from the water might be a cost effective way of reducing the amount of the climate warming gas CO2 in the atmosphere.
SeaCURE processes the seawater to remove the carbon before pumping it back out to sea where it absorbs more CO2.
Is it removing CO2 or just carbon, which could end up over-oxygenating the oceans?
The Seacure project has £3m of funding from the government and is one of 15 pilot projects being backed in the UK as part of efforts to develop technologies that capture and store greenhouse gases.
In other words, they’re getting almost $4 million dollars of taxpayer money to screw around.
Remember, Democrats are the party of Science! But, to them, Biology 101 is not part of science
Judge blocks Trump administration’s from passport changes affecting some transgender Americans
A federal judge on Friday partially blocked the Trump administration from enacting a policy that bans the use of “X” marker used by many nonbinary people on passports as well as the changing of gender markers.
U.S. District Judge Julia Kobick, who was appointed by President Joe Biden, sided with the American Civil Liberties Union’s motion for a preliminary injunction, which stays the action while the lawsuit plays out. It requires the State Department to allow six transgender and nonbinary people who are plaintiffs in the lawsuit to obtain passports with sex designations consistent with their gender identity.
“The Executive Order and the Passport Policy on their face classify passport applicants on the basis of sex and thus must be reviewed under intermediate judicial scrutiny,” Kobick wrote. “That standard requires the government to demonstrate that its actions are substantially related to an important governmental interest. The government has failed to meet this standard.”
It’s rather important that the government have the proper sex on a passport. And, especially not X. What is that? Just mental illness which is encouraged by Democrats.
Kobick also said plaintiffs have shown they would succeed in demonstrating that the new passport policy and executive order “are based on irrational prejudice toward transgender Americans and therefore offend our Nation’s constitutional commitment to equal protection for all Americans.”
They have equal protection. They don’t get to make up their own sex and force their gender confusion, which is so often simply a fad, on everyone else. We don’t have to play along with it. Seriously, sanity should be a big part of governmental interest. The law states one must have their biological sex on passports. We don’t have to cater to the feelings of wackos. That was the law before Biden tried to change it with an executive order. Trump just rescinded that order. The Supreme Court is looking to be very busy with all these insane, anti-law rulings.

The purpose of REAL ID is to enhance the security of identification documents by establishing minimum standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and ID cards. You can talk about the pros and cons of it all day: it is in force on May 7th. The deadline was moved out due to Wuhan Flu. But, it’s almost here. So
REAL ID looming deadline prompts TSA travel warning: ‘Expect delays’
The fast-approaching deadline for REAL IDs has many Americans rushing to obtain the important new identification even as travel issues may lie ahead.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) issued a press release reminding Americans of the May 7 deadline while also warning of delays.
“Passengers who present a state-issued identification that is not REAL ID compliant and who do not have another acceptable alternative (e.g., passport) can expect to face delays, additional screening and the possibility of not being permitted into the security checkpoint,” the release said.
Air travelers at domestic airports will be required to present a REAL ID in order to fly.
TSA spokesperson Lorie Dankers told Fox News Digital the agency estimates that “81% of the public is ready for REAL ID enforcement.”
What this could cause would be slight delays per passenger without REAL ID, which would slow down the entire line. I suppose the solution would be to have additional screeners who can pull those without REAL ID aside and let the rest go through.
The NYACLU wrote about the problems that could maybe be caused by it all the way back in 2007, and other ACLU’s have said the same. Many Conservatives have also made the same claims, like about privacy concerns. They say it won’t stop terrorists. Some say it will make it easier for terrorists (no, that was Biden opening the border). Nothing, though, has appeared in the real world. And now you are getting tons of people, both Dems and GOP, whining about having to rush to get on. I have no sympathy. They had 20 years to get one, as it was part of the Patriot Act, which, yes, had plenty of its own issues that were proven. REAL ID has not been proven.
Real ID isn’t a database.
It’s proof that your physical person matches an entry in the digital database.
Its power & purpose will be realized when everyone complies, but not before.
This is responsive to “I didn’t give them much information, I’ve had one for years, why worry?”
— Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) April 14, 2025
The government already has your information. REAL ID consolidates it, but, they already have it.
More below the fold
