Cyclone Pam: Vanuatu’s president blames climate change for extreme weather
The president of Vanuatu says climate change is contributing to more extreme weather conditions and cyclone seasons, after cyclone Pam ripped through the island nation.
The damage from the category five storm to the island nation has been extensive, and is still being assessed as aid workers scrambled to get to affected areas on Monday morning.
The official death toll remains at six, with many more injured, and is expected to rise as communication begins to be restored.
Vanuatu’s president, Baldwin Lonsdale, spoke at a United Nations world conference in Sendai, Japan, on Monday, and said the storm was a major setback for the people, virtually wiping out Vanuatu’s development.
“This is a very devastating cyclone … I term it a monster that has hit Vanuatu,†he said. “It is a setback for the government and for the people of Vanuatu … All the development that has taken place has been wiped out.â€
Hmm, that’s interesting. Fossil fuels and development are Blamed for “climate change”, yet, Vanuatu’s president took a fossil fueled flight and the island is spending lots of money for development, including on an airport. So, they should blame themselves.
Remember when Sarah Palin was blamed for the shooting of Gaby Giffords because of a “crosshairs” map for those she wanted to defeat politically? When will Democrats and the police haters take responsibility for the attacks on police officers?
(UK Daily Mail) A manhunt is underway after two plain-clothes police officers were shot and wounded while driving through a South Los Angeles neighborhood in what has been described as a ‘targeted’ attack.
The officers, who have not been identified, were reportedly fired at near the intersection of 65th Street and Broadway on Sunday evening as they drove in an unmarked car.
They subsequently returned fire, causing several suspects to scatter, police said. The officers were treated at the scene for minor gunshot wounds, while a number of people were detained by police.
Now, a search has been launched for two male suspects who were allegedly involved in the shooting and are on the run. Dozens of officers, including SWAT members, were at the scene Sunday night.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Detective Meghan Aguila said the officers are thought to have been specifically targeted in the attack, which occurred in the Florence area shortly before 5.45pm.
Does this have anything to do with the anti-police venom spewed by Liberals? Maybe. Maybe not. This could certainly have occurred due to violence and crime that happens daily in South LA. Perhaps gang, drug, or illegal alien related. But, hey, since there is no proof of any of that, why don’t we just go with the Typical Democrat Method and blame Democrats? Especially since this comes on the heals of the arrest of a Ferguson protester who supposedly admitted that he shot police officers.

Well, sure, why not. This is an attempt to satisfy those Democrat voters who have lost faith in the potential for Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic Party presidential candidate for 2016, rather than providing a real defense of her potentially lawless actions
(Fox News) Hillary Clinton’s camp late Sunday issued a significant clarification about the steps they say were taken to review thousands of personal emails before they were deleted, claiming her team individually read “every email†before discarding those deemed private.
Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill made the clarification in a written statement to Fox News. This comes after the former secretary of state’s office revealed last week that while more than 30,000 “work-related†emails were turned over to the State Department, nearly 32,000 were deemed “private†and deleted.
This admission raised questions over how her team decided to get rid of those messages. Merrill on Sunday clarified an earlier fact sheet that described some of those methods but did not say every email was read.
“We simply took for granted that reading every single email came across as the most important, fundamental and exhaustive step that was performed.  The fact sheet should have been clearer in stating that every email was read,†Merrill said.
Of course, perhaps they did, in fact, read every single email, and that is why 32000 were deleted. Not because they were of a personal nature, but because they hurt Hillary. If she was using that email address as her official State Department email address, she has no right to delete any emails, regardless of any sort of personal nature. And it looks as if there will be a House probe
(The Hill) Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is poised to announce an investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of private email as secretary of State, ABC News reported Sunday, citing unidentified top House Republicans.
ABC said Boehner is expected to announce the investigation this week.
The next line is vastly amusing
The probe could signal that Republicans intend to make the issue a centerpiece of their attacks on Clinton as she moves to officially unveil her expected 2016 Democratic presidential bid.
Or, it could be that the House sees yet another case of lawlessness from a member of the Obama administration.
Anyhow, as you can guess, Democrats are unhappy about any potential investigation, and are rallying around Hillary, because laws, rules, and regulations apply to Other People.

Climate change to make steak and chicken taste worse, ruining barbecues for future Aussies
THE good old Aussie BBQ may not taste quite as good for future generations, according to new research.
A study of the impact of climate change on 55 foods grown in Australia, found the quality of beef and chicken may plummet, eggplants may look weirder than they already do and carrots could taste worse.
The report by researchers at the University of Melbourne said Australia’s dry deserts will become hotter, heavy rain will increase in areas like NSW and cyclones will become less frequent but more intense in the north.
It found those predictions will impact agriculture production and force farmers to adapt to changing conditions.
That could mean cattle farmers switch to more heat-tolerant, but lower eating-quality, cows and winemakers will have to migrate south or face lower-quality yields.
May. Could. Might. Predictions. Same old palm reading BS.
Andrew Bolt writes “Aren’t scientists and journalists growing embarrassed at peddling these cheap scares?” Perhaps they are, but, most are also afraid of the insane pressure and vitriol that would be aimed their way from the CoC, along with Warmist politicians and the Leftist media. And the accompanying loss of funding.

Happy Sunday! Another great day in the USA. The sun is shining, mockingbirds are mocking, and it is almost Wedding Season. Not sure who did this pinup, it does remind me of a Gil Elvgren. With a wee bit of help.
What is happening in Ye Olde Blogosphere? The Fine 15
As always, the full set of pinups can be seen in the Patriotic Pinup category, or over at my Gallery page. While we are on pinups, since it is that time of year, have you gotten your “Pinups for Vets†calendar yet? And don’t forget to check out what I declare to be our War on Women Rule 5 and linky luv posts and things that interest me
Don’t forget to check out all the other great material all the linked blogs have!
Anyone else have a link or hotty-fest going on? Let me know so I can add you to the list. (BTW, since someone asked, the reason I leave links for the previous week up (or you might see a *) is because they are place holders for later in the day or for next weeks. Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

If I tell you that eating meat is bad, and you shouldn’t eat meat, and that government should pass laws forcing people to pay lots and lots more to buy meat, with the intention of forcing people to stop eating meat, yet I freely ate meat all the time, would I be a hypocrite and full of mule fritters? Here are Senators Reid and Whitehouse writing in the
(USA Today) Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., recently condemned President Obama’s proposed standards to limit carbon pollution from big power plants — pollution that is now totally unregulated. Conspicuously missing from the majority leader’s argument was one simple, yet extraordinarily important phrase: “climate change.” Republicans in Congress have no plan to address climate change and cannot even bear to utter the words. Even worse, the majority leader wants to impose on states his irresponsible plan for congressional inaction.
It wasn’t always so. Numerous moderate Republicans advocated for addressing carbon pollution in the not so distant past. But once the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision allowed the fossil fuel industry to cinch its death grip on the Republican Party, any hope for bipartisan cooperation came to an abrupt end. The Republican Party in Congress has become the political arm of the fossil fuel industry.
Sigh. Citizens United whining. Fossil fuels whining. From two senators who have benefited tremendously from Citizens United, the fossil fuel industry, and take lots of fossil fueled travel.
This is followed by more whining about stuff that is entirely expected (I bet you read the excerpt in Harry Reid’s voice), ending with
As the evidence becomes clearer and clearer, and the American people move farther away from the deniers, the Republican Party must have its own day of reckoning, when it will finally again be able to address — or even mention — climate change. That day can’t come too soon.
Funny, because Harry had full control of the Senate to go with Nancy Pelosi’s control of the House to go with Obama’s control of the White House for two full years, and failed to pass any sort of legislation.
But, this is not about science, it’s about politics. Period. Just like the entire Cult of Climastrology.
