Climate Change Is Form Of Terror!!!!!!!!

Or something. Remember when CNN used to be a news organization? This comes from the fever swamp Warmist mind of John Sutter

Climate change is a form of terror

(Lots of idiocy to start)

We humans, however, are excellent at ignoring long-term global problems — like climate change. We focus on what’s right in front of us. The recent terror attacks are tragic, and many lives will never be the same because of them. They should not be minimized.

But climate change is another form of terror — and it’s one we’re wreaking on ourselves.

Well, that’s his entire argument. Seriously. No more. And Everyone Else needs to be forced to give up their fossil fueled 1st World lives and bow the will of their political masters and Big Government to atone for…something.

What was the point of the big scaremongering headline? Most likely to say that ‘climate change’ is scarier than actual terrorists who slowly saw people’s heads off and blow up pregnant women and children in pizza places, scarier than jihadis flying planes into buildings. Mostly because these people are nuts.

Washington Post: The Problem Is Not Selling Baby Parts, But Exposing The Selling Of Baby Parts

It’s still interesting, but, not in a good way, how leftists who support abortion on demand will Blamestorm those who are against abortion on demand, blaming them all for the infrequent and small issues regarding violence against Planned Parenthood and other abortion mills. Yet, they mostly refuse to acknowledge that people who yell Allahu Akbar and cite the Koran before blowing people up, sawing heads off, shooting up civilians, flying planes into buildings, etc, have anything to do with Islam in the least.

Abortion rights groups: Political rhetoric contributed to shooting

To many abortion rights advocates, it seemed only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Ever since the summer, when an antiabortion group accused Planned Parenthood of illegally selling fetal tissue, threats against the organization had escalated to unprecedented levels, abortion providers say. They stepped up collaboration with the FBI and local police and stiffened security at clinics. But on Friday, their worst fears came true: A man walked into a health center in Colorado Springs and opened fire.

See? It’s not a problem that Planned Parenthood was caught in a sting in which they were selling aborted babies in possible contradiction to the law, and laughing about it, and thinking about buying Lamborghinis. No, the problem is that someone dared expose that the were doing all this. The Washington Post, writer Sandhya Somashekhar, and abortion supporters seem to be very upset about this whole free speech thing. Even though, as we see in paragraph 3

Police have not yet identified a clear motive for the shooting, which killed a police officer, Garrett Swasey, and two other people and left more than six injured. But the suspect, identified as Robert Lewis Dear Jr., attacked a clinic run by Planned Parenthood, a longtime foil of antiabortion activists that has been under heightened scrutiny in recent months. During his arrest, Dear referred to “baby parts,” a law enforcement official said.

We know the guy is a complete wackjob, who registered to vote as a woman, and is not registered Republican. He’s also apparently a stoner, smoking lots and lots of marijuana, so, why aren’t the media blaming his use of pot? Oh, right, it wouldn’t fit their narrative in protecting abortion and Planned Parenthood.

Do we blame the Pope? He’s against abortion. But, again, the most interesting part is that it is perfectly acceptable to blame every pro-life person, especially if they are a Republican, for the actions of a tiny, tiny, tiny minority, and for daring to be against abortion. But, we cannot even blame the part of Islam that is radical, and even violent, in the least. Because noting that they are believers in Islam is supposedly blame all of Islam, and Islamaphobia. Just last week the Religion of Peace killed 178 and wounded 176. October saw 1564 killed. An Islamist professor beat up and dragged his niece because she refused to wear a Hijab. They treat women like 2nd class citizens, at best. They throw gays off tall buildings. The place people in cages and burn them to death.

Perhaps a liberal could explain why it is OK to blame all pro-life people for the random acts of a very few (and we still don’t know the motive of Robert Lewis Dear), yet, cannot even link Islam with the violent acts of a lot of people who are acting in the name of Islam? Anti-extremist Islam people aren’t even attempting to blame all of Islam, using the term “Islamists” to separate the radicals, both violent and otherwise, from the rest. Yes, it is noted that Islam has a problem. It does. But, not all of Islam is being blamed, but, we aren’t even allowed to blame the minority.

We’re apparently not even allowed Free Speech anymore, nor allowed to expose the disgusting practices of Planned Parenthood. Maybe it’s because the far left is following the beliefs of virulent racist Margaret Sanger, who despised Blacks, and would be happy that Planned Parenthood and other abortion mills are killing so many Black babies?

Good News: Holding The World Under 2C May Destroy Economies

Or require the use of future technologies that haven’t been invented yet. So, essentially, economic doom or unicorns, as the Washington Post’s hyper-Warmist Chris Mooney inadvertently tells us, in regards to The Magic Number

Getting the world’s governments to reach a global agreement at the United Nations’ climate conference in Paris is going to require careful politics, but the effort may be up against an even tougher challenge: mathematics.

The central goal of the gathering is to forge an agreement that would set the world on a path to ultimately restrict planetary warming to less than two degrees Celsius above preindustrial temperatures. The target was originally proposed by the European Union in the 1990s as a way to avert some of the worst consequences of climate change, such as rising sea levels.

But as ambitious as this effort is, time and numbers are working against it. Some scientists and analysts now suggest the two-degree target may be all but out of reach. The world has waited so long to cut emissions, they say, that sticking to two degrees may require extremely harsh cuts that could damage economies, or the assumption of future technologies that have not been invented yet.

Let’s consider that the global temperature has gone up a reported 0.8 degrees Celsius since 1850. What they’re yammering on about is a 1.2C increase by 2100. At the low end, now, because they’ve significantly increased their doomy prognostications. Unless we destroy our economies. And put Government in charge of our lives to control our “carbon budget”.

All for a junk science issue which typically polls last or next to last when put up against real issues. This is primarily being pushed by people who have an economic and/or political stake in the game. Politicians want more power, and others are seeing an economic reward from pushing this on Everyone Else, while refusing to live the life they want to force on Everyone Else. Another “journalist”, Justin Gillis, the NY Times’ resident Warmist, also makes an inadvertent truth-saying

In the end, though, experts do not believe the needed transformation in the energy system can happen without strong state and national policies. So speaking up and exercising your rights as a citizen matters as much as anything else you can do.

Funny how the main solution to a supposed “environmental issue” is power to Government. Gillis also provides a few whoppers and falsehoods, meant to scare people, such as

The ocean is rising at a rate of about a foot per century. That causes severe effects on coastlines, forcing governments and property owners to spend tens of billions of dollars fighting erosion. But if that rate continued, it would probably be manageable, experts say.

The sea rise measurement for the 20th Century was just 7 inches. That’s not “about a foot per century.” The average sea rise during the last 7,000 years, used due to that being when the massive sea rise from the end of the last ice age ended, is just 6-8 inches. Thinking back to elementary school math, remember how averages are obtained. Which means a Holocene warm period should be much higher. Why the need to lie in the article, one which also distorts, heck, lies about, the reasons behind why Skeptics are not buying into the anthropogenic ‘climate change’ scareathon?

Most of the attacks on climate science are coming from libertarians and other political conservatives who do not like the policies that have been proposed to fight global warming. Instead of negotiating over those policies and trying to make them more subject to free-market principles, they have taken the approach of blocking them by trying to undermine the science.

We don’t trust the science, the computer models, the people who have a vested interest in pushing the subject. Why would we possibly negotiate over policies that tremendously increase governmental control over our lives, private entities, and the economy? Policies that will damage our economy and raise our cost of living while possibly reducing our modern lifestyles? Government in control is not free market. It starts with the science, which is the equivalent of junk bonds status.

Bummer: Declining Support For A Tough Climate Deal

Perhaps the “spreading awareness” and scaremongering have backfired

From the link

Public support for a strong global deal on climate change has declined, according to a poll carried out in 20 countries.

Only four now have majorities in favour of their governments setting ambitious targets at a global conference in Paris.

In a similar poll before the Copenhagen meeting in 2009, eight countries had majorities favouring tough action.

The poll has been provided to the BBC by research group GlobeScan.

Just under half of all those surveyed viewed climate change as a “very serious” problem this year, compared with 63% in 2009. (snip)

Canada, France, Spain and the UK are the only four with majorities in favour of their governments taking a leading role.

Spain, Russia, and India (the report calls them stable, though it shows a 5 point increase), Turkey are the only countries which saw increases. Eight countries saw significant decreases. Even those they call “stable”, saw decreases (except for the aforementioned India).

The pollsters suggest that citizens globally are becoming more informed about climate change. They also found more than twice as many people today blame rising levels of carbon dioxide from human activities for extreme weather events as compared to a similar poll carried out in January 2000.

Interesting. Despite becoming “more informed”, most have lost some interest in Government Doing Something. As for informed, they aren’t if they think CO2 from humanity is causing extreme weather.

They really should do a poll on what steps Warmists are taking within their own lives, and whether they are willing to give up things like fossil fuels, prosperity, affordable energy, etc, due to their beliefs.

Easier than rewriting all the time. Also, the listing order has to do with how they are added over time, not how good a post is. I just copy and paste from the previous week, then edit. If you see one of the *’s, go ahead and check out the blog anyhow, see if there is an update. I cannot update with my Android during the day.

Climate Change Can Totally Be Obama’s Hallmark Or Something

The big working vacation regarding ‘climate change’ in lovely lovers vacation spot of Paris will begin in just a few days, so, we can expect most of the compliant media (which uses vast amounts of energy and fossil fuels to gather and broadcast the “news”) to yammer on about climate change and how Things Must Happen Or We’re Doomed. Obama cheerleader the NY Times (which kills vast amounts of trees to disseminate their paper edition worldwide) says that Obama’s legacy is at stake, and, if he succeeds, this could be the most important environmental achievement ever!

Obama’s Legacy at Stake in Paris Talks on Climate Accord

At a joint news conference here Tuesday with President François Hollande of France, President Obama veered from his focus on the terrorist attacks in Paris to bring up the huge international gathering beginning in the French capital on Monday to hammer out a global response to climate change.

“What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children,” Mr. Obama said of the climate conference.

The segue brought mockery, even castigation, from the political right, but it was a reminder of the importance Mr. Obama places on climate change in shaping his legacy. During his 2012 re-election campaign, he barely mentioned global warming, but the issue has become a hallmark of his second term.

He also has the largest carbon footprint in the world, at roughly 40 megatons. He runs around the nation and the world on fossil fueled vehicles. He typically travels on a large jumbo jet, with a backup jumbo jet along for the ride, with several fossil fueled fighter jets for protection. He rides in a limo with poor fuel economy, with upwards of 20 fossil fueled vehicles for protection. Yes, the POTUS needs this. Yet, he very often takes all this on a cross country trip, which includes a short official appearance followed by multiple fundraisers and sometimes golf. If he was so worried, he could limit these trips. He could work to reduce his own footprint. He doesn’t.

And, yes, mockery and castigation for his foolish remark. ISIS doesn’t care. And including the climate change schtick shows how utterly out of touch Obama is.

And on Sunday night he arrives in Paris, hoping to make climate policy the signature environmental achievement of his, and perhaps any, presidency.

“He comes to Paris with a moral authority that no other president has had on the issue of climate change,” said Douglas Brinkley, a presidential historian at Rice University who noted that Mr. Obama’s domestic climate efforts already stand alone in American history. “No other president has had a climate change policy. It makes him unique.”

First, no one else cared, nor cares, much about this unscientific issue. Second, Teddy Roosevelt creating the national park system? Richard Nixon enthusiastically signing the Environmental Protection Act? Both blow away joining some sort of climate policy, which Obama and John Kerry want to be structured as something that doesn’t have to be submitted to the US Senate, meaning it will be non-binding. Much like his idiotic Iran deal.

Moral authority? When stacked up against virtually every other issue, climate change comes in at the bottom, often dead last.

Yet during the 2012 campaign, advisers urged him not to talk about climate change. “It didn’t poll well,” said David Axelrod, Mr. Obama’s chief strategist in 2008 and 2012.

The candidate cared about the issue, Mr. Axelrod said, but voters cared more about the economy. “He felt bridled in his ability to talk about it,” Mr. Axelrod said. “It was no secret to anyone that this was an issue of continuing and big concern to him. But the reality is that you can’t do anything about climate change if you lose an election.”

It still doesn’t, again, typically coming in last or next to last. And he’s failed miserably on the economy, to boot. His interference in Copenhagen in 2009 helped scuttle any deal. And another NY Times article admits that the so-called pledges won’t fix a darned thing. Not that they are meant to fight a real issue. And an editorial notes that

The conference will succeed if it fosters a sense in countries large and small that all must work to find a solution.

So, squishy feel good stuff along with spreading awareness. Of course, this also means lots and lots of redistributed money along with limitations on the US economy. When will Warmists live their lives like they expect Everyone Else to be forced to live theirs?

People Who Live Big Carbon Lives Call For Reduction In Other People’s Lives

I don’t know what we’d do without all the artists and musicians jetting around the world and using vast amounts of energy

(UK Guardian  ) Björk, David Bowie and a host of musicians, actors, artists, novelists and leading figures in the creative industries have called on negotiators at next week’s climate summit in Paris to reach a deal that staves off dangerous global warming.

The letter to the French foreign minister and the UN climate chief in charge of the talks is signed by a selection of A-listers from the British cultural scene, including actors Steve Coogan and Emma Thompson, musicians Damon Albarn and Guy Garvey, and writers Ian McEwan and Philip Pullman.

The creative industry’s letter to Laurent Fabius, the French foreign minister who will be president of the talks, reads: “We are deeply concerned that our global economic and industrial systems are accelerating rates of extinction, desertification and soil depletion, degrading ecosystems, acidifying and littering our rivers and oceans, and resulting in a relentless rise in greenhouse gas emissions driving irreversible climate change.

“In short, we are overwhelming the planet’s life support systems.”

Interesting. They do realize that their lives and the way they make their money is, according to their talking points, evil, right? That they are exactly the people they are complaining about?

Study Says Stopping Hotcoldwetdry Will Be Nearly Impossible Unless We Mostly Give Up Eating Meat

Some say that it will be impossible to stop ‘climate change’ unless we have a big worldwide carbon tax. Others say we can’t stop it without a $100 billion slush fund to give to 3rd world sh*tholes, er, developing nations. Then there’s this one, written by Goji Berry, Chief Happiness Officer.

(One Green Planet)Although I love hoomans, the fact is that they’re not the most subtle creatures on the planet. They take up more space than anybody else and they dictate what the rest of us do. It seems like everything people do has a massive impact on the planet – I mean, there are billions and billions of them and they all mostly like and do the same things … so it kind of figures that all that adds up. One of the HUGEST things that all people do that impacts the planets, though, is their eating habits.

Sure, I get having a nice snack every now and then … but humans LOVE their cheeseburgers, and steaks, and bacon. And all of that love for meat and dairy and other animal products equates to a massive strain on the environment. According to the smart people at the FAO, animal agriculture is responsible for 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gases – that’s more than all the emissions for cars, trains, and airplanes.

If you haven’t figured it out, Goji is a dog, hence the strange writing. Not complaining, it is interesting.

A new study from Chatham House, an international think-tank of smarties, came out pointing to the fact that the only way we can hope to curb climate change is to stop eating so much meat. Given the fact that meat production uses over 70 percent of the world’s water resources, around half of the planet’s land is dedicated to either growing animal food or grazing the animals themselves …

The Chatham House study went so far as to assert that if we don’t all make a concerted effort to but down on our meat consumption that it will be impossible to slow the progress of climate change. Seriously people, get with the program. You’re wasting precious natural resources and releasing more harmful chemicals into the environment than ever before … but still one in eight people go hungry.

Well, there you go, Warmists. You have your marching orders. Stop eating meat. Because if you don’t, the planet is doomed! Show us the way.

This is exactly the kind of nutty, over-the-top, bat guano crazy pronouncement from the Cult of Climastrology that makes the tepid believers in anthropogenic climate change tune out.
