‘Climate Change” Is A Crime Against Humanity Or Something

Another day, another bit of nutbaggery from the Cult of Climastrology, via the Dhaka Tribune

Climate change as crime against humanity

Crimes against humanity is a term occasionally thrown around when people want to describe acts of utter depravity and unequivocally outside the realm of legitimacy.

The term, in the meantime, has an actual legal definition: the Rome Statute describes crimes against humanity as widespread acts of murder, deportation, and other inhumane acts of similar character.

A vital question which we can no longer avoid is whether a willful rejection of mitigating climate change constitutes as a crime against humanity.

Let’s see…..”no.” But, if Warmists actually believe this, and this notion of anthropogenic climate change being a crime against humanity has been growing over the past few years, then they themselves are criminals for refusing to give up their own fossil fueled use, etc and so on. I’ve written this innumerable times, mainly because Warmists refuse to practice what they preach.

I’ll leave it up to you to read the middle part, which is amazing in it’s wackadoodleness, and ends thusly

If our current interpretations of the law do not cover a major and heinous act such the oblivious conduct of the leading climate change contributors, and if such acts will cause the death and destruction of — albeit nameless and faceless — millions, then it is our understanding of the law that needs an urgent update.

If human rights laws and lawyers fail to rise to the occasion, there will be other meta-narratives seeking to articulate and redress this grave injustice.

In other words, they want to utterly force a change of law as to what constitutes a crime against humanity in order to cover Hotcoldwetdry. I bet most in Bangladesh, a very poor country, would actually prefer to have the lifestyle of all the people in 1st World Countries who’ve taken advantage of all the things the high priests of the Cult of Climastrology want to restrict in places like Bangladesh.

BTW, all the Warmists hold the same opinions as the repressive, fundamentalist Islamic nuts in Iran.

Woman Who Wants To Be President: Bad Things That Happened In Benghazi Not My Responsibility

This sounds great: if Hillary Clinton wins, we’ll get yet another four years of a President who refuses to take responsibility

(The Blaze) Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in an interview with “60 Minutes” that she was not responsible for security failures leading up to the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi.

When asked what responsibility she has for the Benghazi attacks, Clinton said she “took responsibly” as secretary of state, but Congress found no negligence on her part.

“When this happened in Benghazi, I immediately stood up an independent committee – distinguished Americans, military and civilian experts,” she said. “They came out and they said, ‘You know, the ball was dropped – in security. And, you know, some of the decisions that were made, probably should have been rethought.’”

CBS’s Scott Pelley then interjected: “But wasn’t that your ball to carry?”

“No it wasn’t. It was not my ball to carry,” Clinton responded. “Read the reports, read all of the reports — all many hundreds of pages of them.”

She was Secretary of State. She was a prime mover behind the whole Libyan fiasco. It was her job to make sure that our diplomatic personnel were secure, especially with a diplomatic mission operating in an area, Benghazi, which was becoming increasingly dangerous, what with all the Islamic jihadis streaming into the area. This resulted in multiple attacks on diplomatic personnel from other nations, causing them, including the Brits, to pull out. Their ambassador was attacked multiple times. The news media were pulling out of Benghazi.

And the U.S. diplomatic personnel and our compounds had been attacked several times prior to the 9/11/12 attack.

The presumptive Democratic nominee said the security reports from Benghazi “never reached me” or “came to my attention.”

Huh

(CNS News) Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton acknowledged to the House Select Committee on Benghazi on Thursday that of the more than 600 security requests related to Libya and Benghazi that came in in 2012 before the Sept. 11, 2012 terrorist attack none ever reached her desk.

However, Blumenthal’s 150 emails reached her desk, Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-Kan.) said.

Did no one bring up the security situation to the Secretary of State? Did she not ask “say, how are things in Libya?” Were there no meetings to discuss the situation in Libya? Or was Hillary just too busy using her position to enrich herself and her family via her “charity” foundation which spent little on actual charity?

DNC: Fences Are Great To Keep Out Riff Raff From Convention, But Not To Protect America

It’s that time. The Democratic National Convention, where they will nominate a horrible, incompetent candidate. The DNC coordinated to make sure The Queen was the last one standing, and now party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been forced to resign, and Bernie and the Bernie bro’s are livid. But, they really do have a fantistic “wall” around their convention site. Hmm, a wall

  • Democrats believe that cooperation is better than conflict, unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentment, and bridges are better than walls.
  • Donald Trump has a different approach….. He wants to build walls and keep people—including Americans—from entering the country based on their race, religion, ethnicity, and national origin.
  • We are not a country that cowers behind walls.
  • Democrats reject Donald Trump’s proposal to build a wall on our southern border…..

Those are 4 of the mentions of “wall” in the DNC platform (the other 13 are whining about Wall St while taking lots and lots of Wall St money). But….

(The American Mirror) To the Democratic National Committee elites, keeping average Americans away from their convention is a good idea, while protecting the southern border from intruding terrorists, rapists and murderers is a bad one.

The DNC has erected a four-mile fence around its convention site at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center. (Isn’t it ironic they’re doing so much to protect a site named after a bank?)

The fence is roughly 8 feet high, is heavy duty in many spots, as opposed to simply chainlink, and also has a double reinforcement in strategic spots.

They’re even going to fence in the areas for protesters, which have been set aside, and are away from the areas the media will tend to spend time in.

Will the GOP and Donald Trump take advantage of the visuals of the fencing? We’ll see.

Liberals: Tim Kaine Is Racist For Supporting Gun Control Laws That Put People In Jail

Hillary’s VP pick Tim Kaine took an actual common sense action when it came to gun crime, one which did not violate the Constitutional Rights of law abiding citizens, while mayor of Richmond. How’d that work out?

(Daily Caller) The standard liberal line from Barack Obama on down is that they only want sensible gun control regulation, not confiscation.

But Hillary Clinton’s newly-selected running mate Tim Kaine is now taking flak from race activists for supporting some very sensible gun control measures that, unlike many other restrictions, actually decreased crime.

Reuters reports race activists are complaining that as Richmond mayor from 1998 to 2001 Tim Kaine strongly supported “Project Exile,” which allowed local federal prosecutors to treat illegal possession of guns as a federal rather than state offense, which requires longer prison terms. Under Project Exile convicted felons caught with an illegal gun automatically received five years in the federal penitentiary.

The program, supported by both the NRA and gun control groups, was enacted when Richmond had one of the highest homicide rates in the country. Within 10 months the city’s firearms homicide rate decreased by 41 percent.

Seems like a pretty good idea. Convicted felons, at least ones that have been convicted of violent crimes, shouldn’t be allowed to own or possess a weapon. Nor are they. Increasing the penalties certainly won’t stop all illegal activities….murder is illegal but people still do it….but, if it brings down the crime rate, that is a good thing, right? Right???

Who could argue with any of that? Liberals who consider the incarceration of black criminals inherently racist. Civil rights lawyer Nicole Lee griped to Reuters that, “Project Exile broke black families. This is not a benign thing to be for. These measures were not used against white kids in the suburbs with guns, they were used against black kids in the cities.”

Huh. Perhaps those black parents and’or kids shouldn’t have been in possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony. Interestingly, this “civil rights lawyer” is saying that blacks are more likely to be felons and then further violate the law than whites. FBI crime statistics bear this out.

Furthermore, these same activists are constantly calling to “take the streets back”, to have this spreading awareness campaign, this event, that event. They want safer streets. Yet, when there are laws that work, making their streets safer, they find a way to complain about that.

And they want Kaine to denounce Project Exile. Because it’s apparently racist to use laws that actually make the streets safer in black areas in Democratic Party run cities. Anything beyond lip=service is apparently racist.

Bummer: Liberals Upset Trump Failed To Mention ‘Climate Change’ Even Once

Trump Didn’t Mention Climate Change in His RNC Speech

Donald Trump’s big speech at the Republican convention on Thursday didn’t contain a single reference to the environment or climate change. It was vague on policy overall, focusing heavily on the primary themes of this year’s Republican National Convention: bashing Hillary Clinton’s character and fearmongering over crime and national security, with a heavy dose of Islamophobia and xenophobia.

Oh, noes, he failed to spend time on a manufactured issue that ranks last or dead last in almost every single poll of American concerns!

There was, however, one section that dealt hazily with energy policy. Unfortunately, it was filled with falsehoods. Let’s go through the four key assertions one at a time: (I’m only touching on one in this post)

“We are going to lift the restrictions on the production of American energy. This will produce more than $20 trillion in job-creating economic activity over the next four decades.”

The source for this $20 trillion figure is the Institute for Energy Research, an organization funded by the Koch brothers. As the New York Times has previously noted, “economic reality” contradicts this projection. Additional fossil fuel production has diminishing returns because increased supply means lower prices. So, according to experts the Times interviewed, the number is wildly exaggerated.

So, wait: more fossil fuels production leads to lower prices? Really? Why is this not an awesome thing? The people who benefit from this the most are the middle and lower classes, as this reduces their cost of living, and makes it easier for them to do things like spend money on important things for themselves and their families, to stick some money away that they would otherwise have to spend, and to do a bit of traveling. Why do Warmists have the lower and middle classes?

Meanwhile, we get this from the Daily Caller, which mentions the same quote

The poll found 77 percent of voters want to see America increase production of oil and gas resources located in the U.S, including 94 percent of Republicans, 73 percent of independents, and 64 percent of Democrats.

The poll also found 69 percent of voters would support a political candidate who promised to increase production of American oil and natural gas, gaining approval from 86 percent of Republicans, 69 percent of independents, and 57 percent of Democrats. Roughly 71 percent of voters would oppose legislation that could potentially raise energy costs on the American consumer.

Wait, what? People don’t want to do things that drastically increase their own costs? Really? Don’t they know we have a planet to save!!!!!!1!!!!

Democratic Party Platform Calls For WWII Scale Mobilization To Fight Hotcoldwetdry

Anthropogenic climate change has become another one of those issues that Democrats worship over the years. Not enough to really make any big changes in their own lives, mind you, because they really do not care whether it is a scientific fact, nor do they care that it involves little science. This is all about politics, in creating a big and stronger central government, in controlling citizen’s lives, in controlling private entities and the economy, and increasing taxation. Democratic Platform Calls For WWII-Scale Mobilization To Solve Climate Crisis

This month, the full Democratic Platform Committee approved the strongest statement about the urgent need for climate action ever issued by a major party in this country.

The platform makes for the starkest possible contrast with a party that just nominated Donald Trump — a man who has called climate change a hoax invented by and for the Chinese, who has denied basic reality such as the drought in California, and who has vowed to (try to) scuttle the unanimous agreement by the world’s nations in Paris to take whatever measures are necessary to avert catastrophic warming and keep total warming “well below 2°C.”

In contrast, one party in this country has finally embraced the blunt — and scientifically accurate — language of climate hawks as to what those measures actually entail:

We believe the United States must lead in forging a robust global solution to the climate crisis. We are committed to a national mobilization, and to leading a global effort to mobilize nations to address this threat on a scale not seen since World War II. In the first 100 days of the next administration, the President will convene a summit of the world’s best engineers, climate scientists, policy experts, activists, and indigenous communities to chart a course to solve the climate crisis.

Of course, as I noted yesterday, most countries seem rather lackadaisical when it comes to ratifying the Paris climate agreement. Some are actively hostile to it.

But, regardless, if the U.S. must lead, should not the very people who pushing this lead themselves? Should they not walk the talk, practice what they preach?

The final draft of the platform — which must still be approved by the Democratic National Convention next week — also calls for a price on CO2 and other greenhouse gases: “Democrats believe that carbon dioxide, methane, and other greenhouse gases should be priced to reflect their negative externalities, and to accelerate the transition to a clean energy economy and help meet our climate goals.”

Which would significantly raise the cost of living while lowering the standards of living for middle and lower class citizens. Yet, again, the very people who are pushing this refuse to give up their own fossil fuels, to make their own homes 100% renewable energy, to only buy local, to turn their AC up to 85, etc and so on. Put in context of the rest of their platform, this is all about Progressive (nice fascist) government. Read through the full platform. Government, government, government.

Alaska Supreme Court Shoots Down Parental Notification For Underage Abortions

The pro-abortion worshiping Left has long had a major problem with parental notification, seeing this as a restriction too far…well, really, any restriction on abortion is a restriction too far. In this case, what they’re very upset with is privacy rights and equal protection rights of underage girls. Keep that in mind

(AP) The Alaska Supreme Court on Friday struck down a state law requiring parental notification for girls under age 18 seeking abortions, agreeing with pro-abortion rights advocates that the mandate approved by voters in 2010 was unconstitutional.

Justice Daniel Winfree, writing for the majority, said the court was not deciding whether abortions should be available to minors without restrictions but that the abortion notification law violated Alaska’s constitutional equal protection provisions giving the same rights to all Alaskans.

In a concurring opinion, Justice Dana Fabe disagreed that the law violated the girls’ equal protection rights but said she believes it violated their right to privacy.

“I believe that the Alaska Constitution permits a parental notification law, but not one that contains provisions that are among the most restrictive of any state’s notification laws,” she wrote.

The measure passed by 55.05% to 43.94%. That is a higher percentage than Obama won either time, and we were told that Obama’s wins gave him a mandate. Regardless, let’s consider: abortionistas sued over keeping parents in the loop when their underage children wanted an abortion because of privacy and equal protection.

Yet, these same Leftists have no problem whatsoever in allowing males who are gender confused or are pretending to be gender confused into the shower, locker rooms, and bathrooms of underage girls, violating their privacy and equal protection rights.

I’m sure they have some tortured logic duckspeak for the contradictory opinions, but, they matter not, because things like privacy and equality are never the point: it’s about worshiping certain “idols” at all costs. You can bet that individual liberal parents would want to be notified, and that they would not want men in the showers with their kids. But, for Other People, abortion without restriction and gender confused in those areas with Other People’s daughters Should Be Allowed. That’s the way they roll. Who cares if this is bad for parents and females? They have an agenda!

The decision was praised by pro-abortion rights advocates, including the American Civil Liberties Union of Alaska and Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands, which challenged the law.

“A young woman seeking an abortion doesn’t need additional hurdles. She needs a doctor,” said Joshua Decker, executive director of Alaska’s ACLU, in a statement.

Which is funny, since abortionistas caterwaul and sue when any measures are passed that require abortion facilities to operate under the same medical standards as a medical facility. Heck, abortionistas would have a snit fit if abortion facilities were required to have the same medical standards as a tattoo parlor.
