Politically appointed commissioners are the government equivelant of no-show jobs, handed out as rewards for being connected to the right people. It is of zero consequence if any of them knows what they are doing and certainly played no role in this accident. Worst case, she delays recovery and reconstruction efforts to include the right number of politically connected people like herself. In any case, enough middle aged white guys will be hired in the engineering companies to make sure the replacement bridge stands.

Although Ms Barber is a negress, and is obviously inferior to white men and women, she does have extensive business experience. Except in activities where actual excellence is rewarded, e.g., athletics and entertainment, white people deserve all positions. All non-whites are affirmative action hires or appointees (now called DEI people). The six members of the commission are not responsible for bridge structure or the reliability of the tankers. On the other hand, Ms Barber has been on the Board of Commissioners for 8 months, plenty of time for this negress to cause the crash and collapse.
The white members of the Board, Brenda Dandy, M. Scott Webb, Edward McDonald and David Richardson were not able to counteract the damage that the negress Barber caused in her 8 month tenure. The sixth member of the board, negro Sandy Roberts, although having a impressive bio, is no doubt another DEI appointee.
The right-wing media touts the shipping experience of the white people on the board, e.g., Brenda Dandy who worked for Marine Enterprises International (MEI) for 40 years!!! BTW, MEI specializes in selling powdered sea water. One of the white male Board members, Scott Webb, is a retired member of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) with more than 45 years of experience in the maritime shipping industry. During his years with the ILA, Mr. Webb actively contributed to various executive leadership decisions that impacted the ILA workforce, including employee relations and equipment management. Mr. Webb served on the ILA’s Safety and Environmental Committee. Of course, the right-wingers dismiss his experience since he as a union member.
