    Americans over 65 yrs who had had Covid were 42% more likely to be diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease than those who had never had Covid.

    An infectious etiology of Alzheimer’s disease has been postulated for decades. It remains unknown whether SARS-CoV-2 viral infection is associated with increased risk for Alzheimer’s disease. In this retrospective cohort study of 6,245,282 older adults (age ?65 years) who had medical encounters between 2/2020–5/2021, we show that people with COVID-19 were at significantly increased risk for new diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease within 360 days after the initial COVID-19 diagnosis (hazard ratio or HR:1.69, 95% CI: 1.53–1.72).

      And how many had the jab. The jab is a protein producer and Alzheimer’s is associated with protein deposition.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Commenter: And how many had the jab?

        That was not part of the screening. But a good question.

        Just because the proteins involved in Alzheimer’s, e.g., tau, beta-amyloid, amyloid precursor protein are largely specific for the disease, that doesn’t rule out the vaccine somehow triggering the Alzheimer’s process.

        It also didn’t appear that they were asked about treatments used for Covid.

    If I took a truck down to Texas, rounded up a couple dozens migrants and drove them up here, would I be breaking any laws?

    8 U.S. Code § 1324 – Bringing in and harboring certain aliens
    U.S. Code

    (a)Criminal penalties
    (1)
    (A)Any person who—
    (i)knowing that a person is an alien, brings to or attempts to bring to the United States in any manner whatsoever such person at a place other than a designated port of entry or place other than as designated by the Commissioner, regardless of whether such alien has received prior official authorization to come to, enter, or reside in the United States and regardless of any future official action which may be taken with respect to such alien;

    (ii)knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, transports, or moves or attempts to transport or move such alien within the United States by means of transportation or otherwise, in furtherance of such violation of law;

    In order to convict someone under this section of the law, the prosecutors would need to show that:

    The defendant transported or attempted to transport a noncitizen within the U.S.
    The noncitizen was in the U.S. in violation of U.S. law (as would be the case with any undocumented person)
    The defendant was aware that the noncitizen was in the U.S. unlawfully and acted in reckless disregard of this fact, and
    The defendant acted willfully in furtherance of the noncitizen’s legal violation.

    It sounds as if I knew they were here in violation of the law, transported them in furtherance of the violation of the law I could be charged and convicted.

    So are the men, women and children that Governors DeSanta and Abbott transports around the nation not here in violation of law? Or are Governors DeSatan and Abutt unaware that they are here in violation of law? Or are nuGOPhers above the law, as DonJon dTrump is?

    Matt Gaetz (R-FL), on the same day it was revealed he had beseeched DomJon tRump (MAGAt-FL) for a pardon for Gaetz “problem” involving trafficking girls and sex with a 17 yr old… was speaking at a ConservaTexas Christian Youth Group. Is that considered “grooming”? Or just rape?

    In another crime, a local substitute middle school teacher (a male) was arrested for having sex with a 14 yr old student (a girl). Is that considered “grooming”? As well as rape?

    • Jl says:

      While the girl was in his class was part of the approved curriculum saying sex between those over 18 with those under 18, and teacher-student sex as being ok? If not, then rape.
