Comrade Trudeau Looks To Freeze All Handgun Purchases In Canada

What’s the difference between the Canadian premiere and the ruler of Cuba?

Canada already bans 1,500 types of “assault” rifles, and now

(CBC) New gun control legislation the federal government tabled today includes a national freeze on the purchase, sale, importation and transfer of handguns in Canada.

The government also is pledging to start buying back thousands of banned assault-style weapons before the end of the year.

While the proposal falls short of a full ban on handguns, it would effectively limit their number in Canada.

“In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a press conference Monday.

And the next step will be to ban ownership if handguns in Canada, you know, the place where they cracked down on a peaceful protest against the government, and locked down their own citizens over COVID? The one who won’t let unvaccinated citizens travel or leave the country?

They include taking away firearms licences from those involved in domestic violence or criminal harassment, increasing criminal penalties for smuggling and trafficking of firearms, and a “red flag” law which would require people deemed a threat to themselves or others to turn in their firearms to law enforcement.

Canada has prosecuted many people for saying Mean Things, so, they can apply the red flag laws to those people

“We recognize that the vast majority of gun owners use them safely, and in accordance with the law,” Trudeau said.

“But other than using firearms for sport shooting and for hunting, there is no reason anyone in Canada should need guns in their everyday lives.”

So says an authoritarian government.

(Breitbart) As President Biden spoke to reporters on Memorial Day he criticized “high caliber weapons” and claimed that a 9mm bullet “blows the lung out of the body.”

Biden made this statement while telling reporters about a Senate briefing he had received regarding gunshot wounds.

He said, “The 22 caliber bullet will lodge in the lungs and we can get it out,” Biden said. “A 9 mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

Will he and his Democrats Comrades next try and attempt to do away with certain calibers? Of course, the criminals would still have them.

  1. Well, of course: making all handgun sales and transfers illegal in Canada will just totally stop them from ever happening again, right?

    • The Liberal but not libertarian Elwood P. Dowd says:

It could be that Canadians are just less hard-headed and violent than we are. Maybe they’ll build a wall.

It’s a fact that gun restrictions reduce mass shootings. It works everywhere else, but maybe we’re just too nutty.

Our death rate from firearms is already over 5 times Canada’s, and our homicide rate is 10 times Canada’s.

Anyway, there’s too much moolah involved in U.S. gun sales and political donations. We’ll keep killing school kids until voters kill the Republican party.

      • L.G.Brandon says:

Mr. Dowd, I think you’d be more comfortable with personal liberty (or the lack thereof) if you moved to Ottawa. I know I’d be more secure in the preservation of my rights if you did.

You have pointed out that the US has more criminals than Canada but you have not shown a logical reason why the law abiding among us should be disarmed. I await your scientific answer.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

          Fuck Joe Biden,

I ain’t leaving, son. I’m an American. I don’t hate America as you do. Sounds like you might be more comfortable in Moscow. And not Idaho.

We will never disarm Americans. But that’s not to say we can’t restrict the firepower of Americans. We limit fully automatic firearms already.

If you think the Constitution guarantees your right to all manner of firearms so that you can murder politicians you consider repressive, you’re wrong. It’s unlikely the writers of the Constitution had you slaughtering politicians in mind, even if the politicians make laws you don’t like.

  2. James Lewis says:

“He said, “The 22 caliber bullet will lodge in the lungs and we can get it out,” Biden said. “A 9 mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

    Brandon’s ignorance is astounding.

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

That just shows James Lewis how the left constantly spits out bullshit about stuff they don’t know about. That’s how we got cop-killer bullets, assault weapons and 9,000 gun laws coast to coast yet they say that ain’t good enough.

Disarming us makes it much less risky to control us.

PS- Trudeau is a Nazi. Period. If you can’t see that you don’t know shit about Nazi’.

    • Elwood P. Dowd says:

A .22 round (but not the .223 REM or 5.56 NATO) is less damaging than a 9 mm or .45. The .223 round used in AR-15 platform assault weapons has 3 times the muzzle velocity of a .22 LR.

Don’t know who Brandon is but it’s true that caliber is less important than cartridge capacity. Compare a .22 LR and and .223 REM. That extra powder is responsible for the difference in muzzle velocity and tissue damage.

      • UnkleC says:

Brandon did not specify which .22, typical lefty move, compare apples and kumquats. By the way, the .223 bullet does not typically travel at 3x the velocity of a .22LR, especially from an AR platform. Bolt or single shot, maybe, AR probably not. The Hugely Powerful 9mm that lefties hate, almost as much as .223, is so common because of it’s mild performance and useability by lesser practiced users. The FBI ‘created’ the 10mm and then dropped it because so many could not handle the additional power. Real powerful cartridges require training and regular practice. There are some really powerful handgun cartridges.
Summary: Never believe anything a lefty says about firearms, usually either lying or uneducated on the subject.

        • Elwood P. Dowd says:

Of course muzzle velocity depends on factors other than caliber, e.g., muzzle length (bigger is better!), cartridge and bullet weight (littler is better!).

          .223 50 grain fired from a 24in AR-15 has a velocity of 3315 ft/sec.

          .22LR 45 grain fired from a 24in 22 has a velocity of 970-1090 ft/sec.

“About 3 times” seems close enough.

New shooters often ask why the 22 LR and the 223 Rem, which are both .22 caliber and can fire similar 40 grain bullets, perform so differently. The reason is simple: muzzle velocity. The 223 Rem has a much bigger casing that holds a whole lot more propellant. Its 40 grain bullet exits the muzzle at 3,800 fps — over three times faster than the 22 LR at 1,200 fps. This also means the 223 Rem’s muzzle energy is nearly ten times greater!

Summary: Never believe anything a winger says about firearms, always lying on the subject.

Conclusions: The AR-15 platform evolved from the M16/M4 platform using the .223 REM/ 5.56 NATO cartridges. To be ‘street legal’ in the US the guns could not have selective full auto capability. The cartridges/guns were designed with low recoil, light weight, high velocity (more damage), large interchangeable magazines, barrel shroud (shooting lots of bullets heats up the barrel), flash suppressors (keeps the shooter from being blinded as he shoots in a darkened theater or club).

We should stop ALL sales of these weapons in the US. The men who feel they need them can exchange them for a lifetime supply of sildenafil OR a set of FUEL truck rims.

          • UnkleC says:

Elwood, this is not the proper forum to discuss firearms, but, the M16/M4 was developed from the AR15 and the AR15 was developed from the AR10, Eugene Stoner was the original designer. Common AR15’s have a barrel length of 16+” to around 18 or20″, one of mine does have a 24″ barrel and a 40 or 50 grain bullet can be pushed over 3000 fps, 55gr to 65 gr bullets are more common. Generally, 22LR rifles will have a barrel length closer to the 16~18″ range which is closer to the optimum for the cartridge and the higher velocity rounds will exceed 1400 fps from these barrels. My bench 22LR rifles have longer barrels, but that is an accuracy issue and I shoot sub-sonic ammunition for accuracy.

          • drowningpuppies says:

Don’t tell Rimjob, dipshit that he is, that the AR- designation doesn’t stand for Assault Rifle.

            Bwaha! Lolgf

  3. Elwood P. Dowd says:

An interesting article from a Uvalde native…

Calling Mr Trudeau a communist or Nazi, besides being untrue, is paranoid and not useful.

Hey L.G. – How were those 4th graders in Uvalde trying to control you? Are you really prepared to wage war against the United States because you disagree with some rulings? That sounds like terrorism to me.

    • L.G.Brandon says:

” Are you really prepared to wage war against the United States because you disagree with some rulings? That sounds like terrorism to me.”

Everything sounds like terrorism to you. BTW, if the United States is waging war against me why are you then blaming me for resisting. They are making the “rulings”, not I.

I might ask you at what point of oppression do you believe the powers have made war against you enough that it is your time to reply? They’ve been confiscating our elections, our money in taxes, our wealth by inflation, our speech on social media, our information by fake media and now threaten to “forfeit” out homes, bank accounts and personal property. At what point do actual patriots draw the line?

I ask because you can’t wait till gun confiscation makes you as impotent as a leftist college boy because then it’s too late.

      • The Liberal but not libertarian Elwood P. Dowd says:

        Fuck Joe Biden,

We’re the most free nation on Earth. Your taxes are not high. Your freedom of speech is not limited by the gov’t. You can have any weapon you want short of a bazooka. Inflation goes up and down. Elections are not being confiscated.

It sounds to us as if you hate America. By all means take up arms against the rest of us. You sound somewhat, a little bit, crazy.

  4. Elwood P. Dowd says:

The .223 is a perfectly good caliber and has some use in hunting, even for deer. But one doesn’t need the AR-15 for hunting. Most states allow the .223 for deer season but not with a 30 round magazine, usually no more than 5.

Some yahoos might like the dual use function of the AR-15… kill a deer on Sunday and 20 kids on Monday!

    • UnkleC says:

Elwood, I’ll agree with your comment that the .223 is a perfectly good cartridge, I own several pistols chambered for .223 as well as some rifles. However the AR platform is quite adequate for hunting in many scenarios, check your local regulations regarding appropriate cartridges, etc.. 30 round magazines, obviously you aren’t a varmint hunter.

      • Elwood P. Dowd says:

You’re correct, I’m not a varmint shooter. Is varmint shooting reason enough to facilitate the slaughter of kids, shoppers, theater goers etc? How did anyone shoot varmints before the AR-15?

        .223 is good coyote round.

  5. H says:

A well regulated militias member attacked a school in TX killing 19 kids and 2 teachers.
If you argue he wasn’t a well regulated militia then you obviously know the difference between what the Constitution actually says and what you want it to mean

    • L.G.Brandon!, L.G.Brandon! says:

Okay know it all, who was “regulating” him? A regulated militia are armed citizens ready to be called in times of need which is why the people’s right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. They are not killers out to murder kids. Seems you’re the one who doesn’t know the difference. Secondly can you regulate evil? Should we all be penalized for the ALREADY ILLEGAL acts of another?

If he ran all white people, kids and elderly down at a Christmas parade with a Ford SUV should we all be denied owning Ford SUV’s? Or do you somehow see a difference between a psycho in a truck and one with a rifle?

      • Professor Hale says:

They should make killing children illegal. That will fix this. It is unconscionable that states like Texas still allow children to be killed.

  6. david7134 says:

Lots of mouthing off by Jeff over nothing. The minute you start trying to say that any aspect of this tragedy has anything to do with guns, then you are not addressing the problem and are just pushing politics. The problem we have is a large number of crazy people that are not being addressed by our government or social agencies. Talk about guns does not do a thing about the crazy problem. Jeff keeps going on about people justifying why they need a specific weapon. We don’t have to do that. Our Bill of Rights says we have the right to gun ownership, no restriction. If you are worried about the crazies getting guns, then fix crazy. Good example is Jeff himself. Of all the people here he is the one who is most crazy and has ownership of multiple weapons. And he has been threatening in the past.

  7. drowningpuppies says:

There are 130,930 schools in America.
    They’ve sent $53,000,000,000 to Ukraine.
    That’s $404,796 per school.

You could pay *5 SWAT members $80,000 each and
have them at EVERY school front door.

    With almost $5,000 left over.

They don’t really care about you… or your kids.

    Bwaha! Lolgf

    • L.G.Brandon says:

drowningpuppies: “They don’t really care about you… or your kids.”

Don’t say that buddy. They care about your kids as long as they can be shot down by crazy nuts and blame it on guns. Then they can convince the weak of mind toi pass more anti gun laws because a criminal used an “assault weapon” look alike to kill your kids. See? As long as it promotes the narrative they love your kids.
