We Have To Defund The Police To Get Climate Justice Or Something

I know that you’re utterly shocked that climate cultists would hijack current affairs

There Is No Climate Justice Without Defunding the Police

The U.S. has erupted in protests over the brutal killing of George Floyd by police. The protests have largely been peaceful. The police response has not.

Over the past week, widespread police violence has gripped the nation. Police have shot protestors with rubber bullets, tear gassed them, and beat them with batons. Using live bullets, police shot and killed David McAtee, a black chef in Louisville, and left his body in the streets for 12 hours. Armored vehicles and cops in tactical body armor have taken over the streets in response to protests that are specifically about police violence against black communities.

Do we need to discuss the riots, looting, arson, property destruction, murder and attempted murder during the protests? If you’re throwing bottles at police who are just standing there, well, they need tactical body armor. I’ve always thought the police should be allowed to throw anything that was thrown at them back towards the protesters.

There are many very good reasons to defund and demilitarize police forces across the country, including the fact that research in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) shows it provides “no detectable benefits in terms of officer safety or violent crime reduction, on average.” But there’s another reason that’s also tied to the disproportionate suffering of black and brown communities. The climate crisis is exacerbating existing inequalities, and a militarized police force will only make those inequalities worse. There’s a better way forward, though, one that prioritizes resilience—taking funding away from the force that is over-policing and racial profiling black communities, and putting that funding into preparing them for a 21st century of dangerous weather driven by the climate crisis.

This screed meanders back and forth, and seems pretty upset at the militarization of the police, all the gear given to police departments from the military (guess what, a lot of Conservatives agree with that), but, climate cultist Brian Khan at Gizmodo is linking this all to ‘climate change’ and climate justice, because, well, it’s a cult.

It’s why stopping the transfer of military-grade equipment to police is a first step to just climate adaptation. It’s why ending bail and asset seizures that needlessly land people in jail is good climate policy. And it’s why the growing number of laws that criminalize protests are bad climate policy and should be rolled back.

See, if cops didn’t have all that gear, climate change wouldn’t happen. And

Beyond that, defunding the police is another key step. A number of groups have been calling for a divest-invest strategy where cities pull money from the police and put it into community programs that actually make those places better (groups are advancing a similar policy for fossil fuels). In the context of climate change, that could include everything from improving access to healthcare, transit, and open streets. Ultimately, how that money is spent is a decision that’s best left to communities themselves.

You really do need to take time to read the entire thing. It’s nuttier than the norm.

Now you know I’m as traditional as they get but I don’t like cops imitating armored infantry. The idea of the cops having every “last generation” weapon of the military is terrifying. You do realize they work for the government? That’s why the Founders did not want a standing army but the left has made city police into one. Not good. Not good at all especially when one realizes that almost all big cities are controlled by irrational emotional leftists. Emotion and weapons don’t go well together.

I think as an experiment these Big Blue cities should defund the entire police department if they like. They also must be told that neither the State Police nor the National guard will come to their rescue when the SHTF. The Mayors and City Councils should be held PERSONALLY LIABLE for and crimes committed wherever the cops have been defunded. The cops shouldn’t be defunded or eliminated, they should just go back to being regular cops and not Rambo.

Trump 2020 You’re gonna need them when the morons defund the cops!

      Or ordered to stand down.

And I think Trump’s fight with the JCS and SecDef is another attempt to give these people enough rope to hang themselves. He has the authority to order the cavalry in on his own.

Milley doesn’t have that good a rep inside the Army and is taking his lead from the Demos. It’s another, “You want it, you got it, but, if it goes South, it’s on you”.

      Trump is good at that.

Carlson has a big rep, but he really doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

The Cultural Revolution was 50 years ago and now it’s collapsing, along with the democrat hold on the black vote.

Google and Apple refuse to let an APP designed to remove all CHINESE APPS from their phone into their stores. We all know these companies are owned and operated by CHINA and taking American dollars and technology while condemning every aspect of America.

China is now bullying over 35 countries and threatening them if they continue to demand an investigation in the Corona virus.

Australians who were the first to decode the corona virus now say that all indications are that this was a virus created in a lab dish and likely ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED. Their reasoning is that this virus is especially aggressive in binding to human ACE-2 while having difficulty doing the same thing in animals. This factor would make it highly unlikely the virus evolved in an animal host with a poor ability to reproduce the virus.

Because of this ability to bind aggressively to the human ACE-2 it is suspected the Chinese were fooling around with the virus and it got released.

NOW YOU ASK why would all other scientist boo haa haa this study.

SIMPLE….as the Dr. explained. IF IT SLIPPED OUT OF A LAB that has profound implications in every university and lab around the world. They would all have to RETHINK how they operate, REDO their PROCEEDURES and it would quite literally cost billions of dollars and cost a year or two of research time as all virology is halted as they redo all their proceedures. This includes drug makers by the way.

IN ADDITION their are political ramifications. IF CHINA RELEASED THIS on purpose….THAT IS AN ACT OF WAR AGAINST THE WORLD and no one wants to go there. IF they did this on accident then that makes them culpable in the world court system.

A leading study concludes that in order to solve AGW the world needs to divest itself of about 1/2 of the human population. A few months later the Cornoa virus is released by a nation who is suffering overcrowding and an aging population.

2 and 2 might not equal 4 but coincidence or not?

“Global population has risen so fast over the past century that roughly 14% of all the human beings that have ever existed are still alive today. That’s a sobering statistic. This is considered unsustainable for a range of reasons, not least being able to feed everyone as well as the impact on the climate and environment,” said co-author Prof Corey Bradshaw, also from the University of Adelaide.

Paul Ehrlich, Bing professor of population studies at Stanford University in California and author of the best-selling Population Bomb book in 1968, goes much further than the Royal Society in London which this morning said that physical numbers were as important as the amount of natural resources consumed.

POPULATION CONTROL has always been tied to AGW and one of the biggest proponents of POP control has always been CHINA.

Don’t think so. They want to get rid of cows. Cows produce 4 percent of the total co2 released into the atmosphere but are the top targets of the Anti-population crowd.
