Poll: Most Americans Describe Themselves As “Believer In America First”

For all the doom and gloom propagated by the Democrats and their media allies, Americans seem pretty enthused under in the era of Trump

Poll: 7-in-10 Voters Believe in ‘America First’ Agenda Ahead of 2020 Election

Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, the overwhelming majority of likely voters say they believe in the doctrine of “America First” when it comes to national public policy, a new poll reveals.

A poll by Selzer and Company/Grinnell College finds that the vast majority of American adults say they are America First voters, while less than 20 percent identify as socialists.

Overall, about seven-in-ten — or 70 percent — of likely voters say they are believers in America First — the nationalist-populist doctrine that guides President Trump’s agenda on immigration, trade, healthcare, and foreign policy, among others.

Meanwhile, only about 19 percent of likely voters said they would describe themselves as socialists, making the term the most unliked label for Americans. Instead, more Americans describe themselves as politically incorrect, feminists, gun enthusiasts, proud Americans, and progressives than they do socialists.

Like this

Of course, on the down side, you do have 54% describing themselves as Progressive, but, do people know what the term connotates as a political belief, or are they just saying “I’m cool and trendy”? I’d always been pretty darned progressive in terms of new stuff, technology wise, and Rush is my favorite band, which is progressive rock.

Further, the poll does say that people think the economy is even better than in the beginning of  2017 (Obama was still president, remember) by 55/33/6/7 (better, worse, same, I don’t know). And 47% expect to be better off in the next 12 months. They also feel better about their own future finances.

Anyhow, the cool thing is how many believe in America.

Americans still believe in America; the promise of America! They just don’t like tRump. This is all very encouraging!

54% don’t approve of trump; 66% think trump is a bad role model; 54% disapprove of his Syrian troop policy

42% see trump favorably; 61% see President Obama favorably

62% are afraid for the future

82% think it’s wrong to solicit foreign help to win an election

POLL….GW BUSH JR”S POLL NUMBERS TODAY.

    FROM WaPo. 2016.

The latest Gallup poll, in fact, shows Bush with pretty strong image numbers, as politicians go these days. A majority — 52 percent — now view the former president favorably,

A new poll shows that 52 percent of Americans see George W. Bush positively, while only 49 percent view President Obama favorably. Why? 2015.

George W. Bush and Barack Obama Both Popular in Retirement

    Gallup…..GWB 59 percent. Obama 63 percent.
George W. Bush’s favorable rating has pulled a complete 180

Washington (CNN)George W. Bush has turned his unpopularity upside down.
Six in 10 Americans, 61%, say they now have a favorable view of the 43rd President of the United States in the latest CNN poll conducted by SSRS, nearly double the 33% who gave him a favorable mark when he left the White House in January 2009.

So I have to laugh at Elwood who is pretending that Obama is some GOD. As long as Obama keeps quiet he might hit 70 percent. If he gets back in the Fray and gives stupid speeches he will hoover around 60 percent and it was clear he did NOTHING to help HRC in 2016.

Interesting facts about polling in 2019.

Latest 538 polling. Trumps approval is at 41 percent. However 3 of the 5 polls used are from YOUGOV.

    What is YouGov?

YouGov claims to be an online global community of people who like to share their views and opinions on life. Basically, it is a survey company. YouGov gives users the opportunity to express their opinions about current events and controversial topics in the hope of getting rewarded with some cash.
YouGov was founded in 2000 in the United Kingdom as an online market research firm. Currently, YouGov has its headquarters in the United Kingdom but operates throughout Europe as well as in North America, Asia-Pacific, and North America.

Okay lets think about this for a moment. How many of the real Trump supporters surf the internet and take time to do POLLS online? Probably a very low number. In fact studies show its in the 18 percent range.

This completely skews the poll against Trump. Those same voters who will not take a poll supporting Trump will show up on election day and vote for Trump.

Harris Poll. The other poll used beside Rassmussen. I will stay away from Rassmussen because it is contentious with the left.

    Harris Poll.

Harris Poll offers their members the opportunity to earn points, known as HIpoints in exchange for their participation. Once you earn 1250 points (worth $10), you can request an e-gift voucher from places like Amazon, iTunes, Starbucks, Walmart, ESPN, and more. You may also be entered into sweepstakes after each completed survey for even more chances of winning big.

Now this should cause quite a bit of concern. They pay people to take polls. Trumps voters are older, certainly rarely need the money IF they are surfing the internet rather than farmers and ranchers and hillbillies which the left claims.

Again another skewed severely polling against Trump.

Rassmussen has trump bouncing between 47-51 percent and was the firm closest to the actual out come in 2016 as well as 2018. However the MSM discounts them because they are biased toward the GOP.

In retrospect. 538 has 4 polls all showing Trump with 40-42 percent approval and as you can see above, the polling is highly suspect and in fact I would not trust any poll who offers to pay you for taking the poll in the first place.

We are running into the same thing in 2020 that plagued the pollsters in 2016. Cell Phones and online polling rather than canvasing the neighborhoods to get an accurate matrix.

In 2016, MsNbc said they were astounded at the enormous amount of Trump signs in laws in the Suburbs and Urban areas, which then translated to an overwhelming showing in the vote.

In conclusion, one needs to take with a grain of salt any polling done by companies who only offer online polling or calls to cellphones. I am a senior. I certainly do not answer a call from someone I do not know or a number I do not recognize. No one has polled me. No one has polled the millions of Trump supporters.

Polling will continue to be inaccurate until they start using the USC model and track and track a 50/50 split of candidates and see how they shift from beginning to end of the polling season.

Just food for thought in the new era of electronic warfare among the competing political parties.
