One should avoid reading tRump propaganda. I saw tRump’s performance on TV, and saw Gen Kelly, S of S Pompeo and US NATO Rep Hutchison looking uncomfortable.
tRump claimed that Germany is “controlled” by Russian.
Remember: “It’s Always Projection!” TrUMP, not Germany, is controlled by Russia. Putin owns tRump, either by blackmail or finances. “Putin’s fine”, says Donnie. Putin has murdered dozens if not hundreds of journalists and other critics. tRump wishes he could do that! Germany relies on natural gas (mostly from Russia) for 13% of its energy needs. Maybe they’d use US gas if tRump wasn’t such an A$$hole.
tRump asked in a twit: “Will the NATO countries reimburse us?” For what? NATO countries do not owe the US money for defense. tRump wants NATO to pay the US because he thinks they pay too little for defense.
NATO agreed in 2014 to increase their defense spending to 2% of GDP by 2014. tRump now insists that NATO nations increase their defense spending to 4% of GDP. Currently, the US spends 3.5% of GDP on defense.
tRump appears to sh!t on every international meeting he attends.
Estonia, Finland, Lithuania, Belarus and Latvia are probably pretty nervous.
Perhaps he and Putin can discuss their plans for the 2018 midterms in private. Maybe tRump will trade Latvia for keeping the House majority.

Perhaps Germany and the rest should pay their fair share NOW for NATO defense instead postponing for another 6 years while relying on the borrowed hundreds of billion$ provided by the U.S. taxpayers.

It was President Obama that forced NATO to increase their spend on defense to 2% by 2024.
No one is forcing the US to spend 3.5% of GDP on defense.
It seems neither you nor tRump understand NATO. tRump seems to think that all the nations pay into a pot, that the US pays $700 billion “into” NATO. And that Germany should pay $140 billion a year but they only pay $53 billion, and they owe the difference to America. He spouted this nonsense publicly and it’s why Pompeo, Hutchison and Kelly acted so embarrassed.
It’s obvious that tRump is doing Putin’s bidding, so when Putin annexes his first Baltic nation, NATO will be toothless. Putin has something on tRump.

Total NATO alliance defense spending is $900 billion. A $33 billion increase in defense spending by NATO allies is 0.17% of their total GDP. Recall, tRump demanded an immediate increase from the average of approx. 1% up to 2% of GDP. Didn’t happen. In 2014 President Obama struck a deal where they would all reach 2% by 2024. And that will happen unless tRump buggers some more.
He also demanded they all spend 4% GDP on defense, which is more than the US spends. He doesn’t understand what he talks about. He’s a bull in a china shop. He lost again but claimed victory.
You likely don’t have experience with “businessmen” with tRump’s mindset who see every personal interaction as a battle. I guaran-dadgum-tee you that tRump makes other people pay for him at a business lunch and he brags about it later. Petty.
