Good News: Obama Takes Long Fossil Fueled Flight To Push “Clean Energy”

Nothing says “clean energy” like a long fossil fueled flight, accompanied by other fossil fueled aircraft, followed by multiple trips to and fro in a fossil fueled limo accompanied by 17 or so other fossil fueled vehicles

(Salt Lake Tribune) President Barack Obama will stress the importance of investing in clean-energy technology and training workers for this growing field as part of his remarks at Hill Air Force Base in Utah on Friday, and will use the opportunity in a deep-red state to highlight that supporting such innovations isn’t a partisan issue.

“[Utah] is an example of a state that has made smart investments in clean energy and has yielded great benefits for the economy,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest told The Salt Lake Tribune. “This is something the president has advocated in Washington, D.C., and he has not been able to make much progress, or at least as much progress as we would like, because these are proposals that are opposed by Republicans in Washington even though Republicans in Utah had deployed them to good effect.”

This is all about pushing solar energy. And, of course, climate change. It might be worthwhile if this wasn’t coming from the man with the Largest Carbon Footprint In The World.

So the US President can’t push an agenda (unless he’s a Repubicum)?

Logically, what person on Earth would you think would have the largest carbon footprint?

To me, the President of the United States of America seems a likely candidate, don’t you agree?

This is a pathetic and desperate attempt to distract from the facts of global warming. That deniers have completely dropped any scientific arguments is telling.

“Global warming is a hoax because the President has a plane!” you screech.

Solar energy production doubled last year
Utah one of the reddest states is one of the leaders
Solar power costs are now reaching parity with fossil fuel prices even Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi are making huge investments in solar
    Coal is obsolete

he also spent a long time talking to the leadership of the Mormon Church. Perhaps this is going to open up polygamy for those who have strongly held religious views, like muslims

“Solar energy production doubled last year.” Put in context- it isn’t hard to double an extremely small amount. I double one and now I have two.

  5. Jl says:

“Global warming is a hoax because the president has a plane!” No, the president is a hypocrite because he regularly flies on a machine the burns a very large amount of fossil fuel. And has done nothing over the past 6 years to reduce that. There, fixed it for you.

So, it’s an attack on the President, not a criticism of the theory of AGW.

The Earth is still warming from the CO2 we’re emitting into the atmosphere.
