Raccoons Invade White House Yard, Looking For Bailouts, Perhaps?

But, apparently, Obama doesn’t like raccoons, either

A small band of masked intruders has broken into the secure White House grounds and has evaded capture by agents of the new Obama administration, officials said today.

The National Park Service is in pursuit of one very large raccoon and several medium-sized raccoons, who have been spotted roaming the grounds around the Executive Mansion and the West Wing, a spokesman said.

“The idea of raccoons on the White House grounds give us great pause,” spokesman Bill Burton said.

So far, the raccoons have evaded capture despite the presence of several “live traps,” which are essentially cages with a one-way doors to keep the animals inside.

Hah! Raccoons 1- White House 0

Not to beat a dead horse (who am I kidding, I’m going to beat this drum for at least a year or two), but, imagine if Dubya was in the WH when this occurred. The NPS states that, once captured, the raccoons will be released in a wooded area. Liberals and all sorts of animal rights groups would be screeching that the raccoons should be allowed to stay. Anyhow, they would go perfectly with Obama’s White House farm, eh?

PS: I like raccoons. I think they are amusing. I know they made dear old Dad nuts, what with the way they went after the garbage cans, but, I didn’t have to clean it up :)
