Global Warming Today: CO2 Good, Soda, May’s, and Snow

By Adrian Arp, PH.D

CO2 is not a pollutant and is not causing global warming. CO2 is necessary for life on the planet, as plants utilize CO2 to produce the oxygen we breathe and the food we eat! Global warming now and cooling of the 40’s to mid-seventies is caused by solar activity. We have an active sun now! The earth has been warming for 300 years with most of the increase prior to increased CO2 levels.

Also, 279 research project reports have shown that increasing CO2 increases crop production. Higher levels of CO2 is creating a lush environment for plants and animals and will improve the health (more oxygen), longevity and prosperity of all people.

Food for thought

A typical 12-ounce can of soda contains up to six grams (.013 pounds) of carbon dioxide (CO2) gas, which either escapes into the atmosphere from the liquid upon opening, or from your body after you consume the contents. So yes, drinking carbonated beverages does contribute to your “carbon footprint,” but only ever so slightly. (WT – much less then thos limo’s and private jets liberals like to use)

But cans and bottles of carbonated (or non-carbonated) drinks are still no friends of the environment. The production and distribution of single-serving beverages of all kinds generates untold millions of tons of greenhouse gases and other pollutants every year, while also wasting billions of gallons of fresh water. And once the drinks have been consumed, all those cans and plastic bottles have to go somewhere.

Not sure how the “water is wasted” when you, in fact, drink the soda. Think that carbonated beverages will soon be in the climahysterics hit list?

Everything is the caused by global warming, or at least hintimated

Researchers in Michigan report new evidence that water levels in the Great Lakes, which are near record low levels, may be shrinking due to global warming. Their study, which examines water level data for Lakes Michigan and Huron over more than a century.

If they have the “new evidence,” then it either is or isn’t being caused by global warming. Otherwise, it isn’t evidence. That is climahystericy in a nutshell: deep scientific thinking that includes words like may. Don’t forget, all the IPCC reports rarely made any actual hard predictions, instead relying on “likely” and “very likely.”

And the kicker

On December 4 Vermonters were treated to a well- orchestrated media event designed to terrify them into endorsing a very expensive special interest policy agenda. The occasion was the release of a new report by the Vermont Public Interest Group (VPIRG) claiming that “global warming will substantially increase the odds of extreme precipitation. scientists predict that warming temperatures will increase the frequency of major storm with heavy rainfall or snowfall.”

Got that? Vermont will get more snow because of global warming. You just can’t make this stuff up. Well, climahysterics can, but, you know what I mean.

Even the New York Times understands that anthropogenic climate change is more about hysteria then reality. And they themselves know something about hysteria.
