Democrats In For Slap Fight As New Candidate Emerges

Over at Weasel Zippers: The troofers toook the day off from drawing their “Ron Paul REVOLution” signs to show some support for Crazy Hair…

Former U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney today didn’t draw the crowds that other presidential candidates have seen in Wisconsin stops, but she did find support from a constituency that other contenders haven’t tapped into:

Members of the 9/11 truth movement.

Those dismissive of the official explanation for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks rallied around McKinney today at a press conference, as did more typical members of the Green Party. Among the so-called “truthers” was Kevin Barrett, the former University of Wisconsin-Madison lecturer who found himself under fire from state lawmakers last year for his view that the attacks were an inside job.

Barrett told reporters the former Georgia congresswoman was a hero of the movement as he passed out bootlegged DVDs of “V for Vendetta.”

Last time I checked, that was against the The Family Entertainment and Copyright Act, as well as pretty much every copyright law in the USA. Penalties can go up to 5 years in the pokie and/or $250,000 in fines. And, even if they could not prove that someone actually copied it themselves, McKinney and Barrett could be imprisoned up to 3 years if the value is worth more then $1,000.

Figures McKinney’s campaign would start on a criminal note.

Dude, go read your e-mail. I swear if you weren’t on the other side of the country I’d slap you around.

She couldn’t spring for a real waving flag in the backgroud, huh? That silly Cynthia. Not allowed a real one after beating up a capital police officer I guess.

She has some legitimate points, but lost my interest once she started slipping off that rocking chair. Although I am right of center, I am often just as disgusted with actions on the right.

The problem is that she’s speaking of a Utopian society. This is impossible. Mankind will never evolve into an international, peaceful society. It’s not in our nature. Evil will always exist.

    It was a good laugh.
