Iraqi Police Deliver Supplies and Hope

I found this at the NY Times

BAGHDAD — An Iraqi National Police division handed out supplies to a pair of elementary schools in southwest Rashid during a joint operation with Coalition Forces Wednesday.

The mission was the first of its kind in the area by the NP battalion and its Coalition counterpart, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division out of Schweinfurt, Germany, said Iraqi Policeman Lt. Col. Ahmed, commander of 3rd Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 1st Iraqi National Police Division.

The police commander not only took the opportunity to deliver supplies to the Arbid and Ibn Yakhdan schools, but made an assessment of the facilities and the surrounding communities as well.

“This is a good beginning, but I want you to know that we will make the area safe for the children. We want to help you to clean up the trash in this neighborhood and make the people proud to live here,” he told Ms. Noor, the headmistress of the Arbid school in southwest Rashid.

As he spoke, members of his battalion carried boxes of supplies into the building, which represented progress and hope for the children who will be able to make use of this equipment to enhance their education. (read the rest)

I guess it is pretty much a week too late for April Fools. The chance of the Paper of Record or any other liberal source publishing that article from Operation Iraqi Freedom is somewhere between slim and none, and Slim just left the building.

Also a lost puppy was returned to its family. Why will not our dear Leader tell the world of this ?

As for Saving Private Ryan, his ilk care more for lost puppies than for 47 million aborted babies.
“Look Daddy Ryan, a rattle snake and a rabid dog, can we pet them and take them home? Please daddy?” Go to your room Private Ryan… no dessert…. no fruit cup … and no CNN after 10 pm!
