Devils Win Atlantic Division

To heck with politics, this is way more important. After a poor start, the New Jersey Devils were the hottest team in the NHL during 2006, and are the hottest going in to the Playoffs, having won 11 in a row, and, by way of wins, take the Atlantic Division.

Facing them in the 1st round will be the New York Rump Riders, aka, the Rangers.

And how about the Rochester Rocket, also know as Little Brian Gionta, breaking the Devils goals in a season record of 46 held by Pat Verbeek for almost 20 years by scoring 2 against the Habs, for #’s 47 and 48.

Gm/Coach Lou Lamoriello should get the coach of the year for what he has done, which also includes digging himself out of the player-personel hole he dug. My money is on Peter Laviolette of the ‘Canes, though.

Doesn’t matter though, Devs in 5 over Rags. Full Playoff schedule here.
